What a fantastic dinner! We are at Benny Chow's on their second night of being open and it was a wonderful experience. The food, service, and ambiance were all fantastic.
We ordered the steamed shrimp dumplings, turnip cakes, and duck fried rice, which were all delicious. On top of that, the specialty cocktail (the name of which escapes me) was fantastic.
I am looking forward to coming back to try the rest of the menu!
Awesome spot for great breakfast sandwiches in Medano. I probably come here at least twice a week, if not more. Everything is delicious, and made with top quality ingredients. My go to order has to be the Tia Becky, it's so good.
What a fun pit stop between Seven Mile Beach and Rum Point! The burgers and schnitzel were delicious and the place was soooo fun! If you're heading to Starfish Point or Rum Point this is a must visit. Be sure to grab a sharpie and leave your mark in the bar.
My new favorite Thai restaurant in Houston. Not only is the food phenomenal, but the location itself is also very well decorated. Their Pad Thai is especially delicious, and comes in a unique presentation as the egg part of the dish envelopes in a paper thin omelette like coating. The pad prihking and Panang curry are also delicious.

Located near the Medical Center, Hu's Cooking is a fantastic new addition to the Houston restaurant scene. There's no need to drive all the way to Chinatown for authentic Chinese as this is without a doubt some of the most delicious Chinese food in town. Quality and consistency start with the ingredients, and Hu's has this in abundance as the owner makes near daily trips to the market to ensure freshness.
The first time I visited I tried the kung pow chicken and mapo tofu, both of which were phenomenal. On my second trip we ordered the three bowl chicken and spicy chicken. The three bowl and kung pow chicken dishes are sublime, and I highly recommend them. However, the crown jewel of the menu would have to be the duck. I was already stuffed, but the owner brought us a sample and I was blown away. It is incredible.
My only regret here has been that I don't have a bigger stomach. I can't wait to try everything that the menu has to offer!
