In town for work and decided that Taco Tuesday meant I needed to try this location out.

I have been before to a location near home and really like that they embrace local by having area artists do the murals inside each location and to design the menus.

Tacos are great no matter which location and I enjoy the seasonal options as well as the "secret" rewards menu choices too!

I tried the Korean BBQ and Chicken Bacon Ranch this time and liked both. Half size Smoked Cheddar Queso & Chips was the perfect addition.

Large Marge Classic Margaritas with the add in Pineapple flavor are the way to go! I mean why be mid when you can go large!

      Service was very attentive throughout.

Public Paid Parking is limited and did not have easy in and out with people trying to come in and no spaces available. May have been impacted by the baseball game nearby so not sure how it is on regular night.

A good variety of businesses but most are not connected and would have multiple charges instead of one unified bill if you or your party want different options. Seating in the lower area filled up quickly but seemed to have additional ample seating in an upper section. I found a spot at a long high top bar so I didn't venture upstairs.

As far as food Double Burger from KO Burger was a good choice. Typical smashburger, good but not special. The Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese from Hendough was really good. Hendough and KO were actually connected and that helped me make my decision on what to get out of all the options.

I also decided to get a couple of doughnuts from Hendough to save for later. Probably would have only gotten 1 but they were BOGO (after 3pm I think). I liked the Crème Brûlée the best. The Bear Claw was good too but I think it was a bit much and certainly didn't look like a typical bear claw.

Weather was perfect to sit outside and listen to the live music.

Overall I enjoyed it, but not likely to return with all the other options in the city on future business trips.

For the avid beer drinkers I can't imagine not being able to find something you really like with all the variety to choose from.

I was here for Opening Day 2024.

Really glad the roof was open.

My seat was section 118 near home plate area and had good sight lines. My row 38 was back under the overhang and would provide ample protection from the sun during a day game with the open roof but entirely unnecessary for night games.

With the extra concessions stands like many teams have added the concourse was fairly crowded and created bottlenecks restricting crowd flow that was not accounted for in the initial design. I get the desire to reduce wait times for concessions but cramming a stand in every available space made it hard to not only move through the concourse but at times being able to get back to seats because lines backed up across multiple sections.

Other than the pool in right field and a few decorations from all-star games and world baseball classic, there was nothing special. The history museum area was closed for a special event so not sure what was in there. No statues or anything around the stadium outside the gates that I could find.

The Sonoran Dog was very tasty but extremely messy and I miscalculated the amount of napkins needed.

The Churro Dog was also really good and messy, plenty of napkins this time. It wasn't super easy to eat with the spoon and could not pick it up and eat like a hot dog.

Bottom line, happy I checked off #24 MLB home stadium but disappointed in the overall experience.

I came here based on recommendations from the Ballpark Chasers group on Facebook.

I decided to go on a non-game day since the menu is limited on game days.

I was able to be seated immediately with no wait.

After waiting almost 20 minutes for a server, despite a light crowd and ample staff standing around laughing and cutting up with each other including my eventual server, I was just about to walk out when he finally approached. Unfortunately that was a sign of things to come as the service never improved with no drink refills ever offered and even delays waiting on the check because was too busy prepping surrounding tables than actually taking care of the customer.

The one positive was the award winning Bacon Mac-N-Cheese Burger (crispy applewood bacon, six-cheese mac-n-cheese, LTOP, SMC
+ donkey sauce, all stacked on a garlic-buttered brioche bun) that I opted for. The food arrived promptly (another sign that there was really no excuse for the poor service). The concept of the Fry Trio is ok just was not executed well for me. They were very inconsistent and clearly not cooked at or even near the same time. The waffle fries were all overcooked and almost stale, the homestyle fries were not bad and there was not enough of the twisted fries that were the best.

Although not very likely to be back in the area, if I was I definitely would not return!

      Great event!

Loved getting a preview of the featured dishes for Birmingham Restaurant Week.

Best Bite IMHO was the Paella from Sabor Latino!

Sol y Luna's Chipotle Braised Brisket Tamal was a very close 2nd and would be top choice if it had just a bit more of the brisket to better balance with the masa.

Honorable Mention goes to the Fried Lump Crab Cake from Umami/Nori. I could definitely go for 2 of these full size cakes as meal and would not complain at all.

Galley & Garden's Key Lime Mousse barely edged out Tre Luna's White Chocolate Bread Pudding for Best Dessert. I was also pleasantly surprised by the Flan from Umami/Nori.

Cantina Tortilla Grill's Margaritas were great! I absolutely have to go back there when I am not at work and trying to grab a quick lunch.

I look forward to visiting many of these and others that are participating in BRW!
