Just spent New Year's Eve at Hilton Checkers with my partner. Not only was the hotel wonderful as usual, there was a New Year's Eve party on the roof of the hotel.
When I arrived, several groups were enjoying the last 30 minutes of 2019. AND THEN...a group the hotel hired, JUSTUS4, came on with some swingin' melodies that reminded me of "Manhattan Transfer." I don't know who hired them, yet KUDOS. This group of 4 ladies and men, with their own backup sound, were terrific. VERY professional, and I am one myself, so I don't give out platitudes without their being earned.
Thank you Hilton. It was wonderful. I hope whoever reads this can find in them to hire this group for an event. I believe they have a website with the above name, so go for it. They are pros, sound great, and would make a good addition to any event.

Hey, Nantucket Creek Apartments are just wonderful. We moved in April of 2015. The rent was completely affordable, having moved from Hollywood hills after 30 years. We couldn't find ANYTHING in our budget, and then Nantucket Creek appeared on an apartment search site. I am a bicyclist, big time, and I had discovered the Chatsworth Nature Preserve on a bike ride. I gushed, upon seeing the preserve for the first time, "WOW, if I were to move, and had my 'druthers, this area would be outstanding. Nature...right in the midst of Los Angeles."

Nantucket Creek is on the eastern boundary of the nature preserve. NOTHING CAN BE BUILT OR DEVELOPED AROUND US! The pool area and the tennis court are at the hillside of the nature preserve. This place has tennis, the pool (large and heated) a jacuzzi, a workout room, a billiard room, a library and tv central room, a huge meeting room with grand piano, walking around the common area, shuffle board, horseshoe area, and it's a gated community. Plus...the complex is a 10 minute walk to the LA Metro Orange Line, and it is a 3 minute drive to groceries, restaurants, Starbucks, etc.

We did have a security issue in the late summer, yet the management has repaired a gate problem. The pool and jacuzzi were resurfaced. The manager and leasing agent are very fine ladies. The permanent staff are friendly, conscientious, and efficient. Neighbors, as a whole, are friendly and open. If fortunate, a unit in the back towards the nature preserve lends quietness and a BEAUTIFUL sunset over the west hills of Los Angeles.

I assistant managed, then resident managed a 50 unit building in Hollywood for more than 10 years. I was both tenant and management. I have experienced wonderful and horrible tenant/neighbors. I have dealt with emergencies and repairs. From this experience, I can tell anyone that Nantucket Creek is run with exemplary efficiency and professional skill. The grounds are well maintained, and the laundry facilities are plentiful and kept clean and efficient.

Nothing is perfect, yet if one is looking for a comfortable, quiet, well maintained and managed, nicely appointed establishment, one could not "miss" with checking out Nantucket Creek Apartments.

I've been a customer of Bob Mitas since 1984. An excellent mechanic and outstanding individual. He's fair and honest in his evaluations, and his repair work is complete. He also gives the budgeted repair that one might expect if one were to pick up supplies and pay for only the labor. He finds the correct pairing for the work needed.
