Oh goodness gracious I LOVE Carelli's. My partner and I have been here before and it was fantastic. Good service, good food, good atmosphere. But tonight I was super impressed. Service was amazing. There was a slight mix up and I got the wrong calzone flavor. Ingrid made sure to make it alright and comped the calzone. Slight mix up aside, the food was so good. We loved sitting and talking under the mood lighting. Everyone was so kind. Definitely a place to come back to any time we're in Boulder. Come here any time you're looking to take your lady or man for a nice romantic dinner. You won't be let down.

Okay I never go to PF Chang's because my OG Asian grandma would make fun of me for eating non authentic Asian food. This was not my choice, it was my White boyfriend's choice Just to set the record straight in case grandma ever sees this.

I know she's right though. PF Chang's food is very Americanized and not super authentic, but I think that's the point. For people not familiar with Asian food, it's probably appealing to eat something kiiiiinda Asian-ish without committing to it completely. I'm sure this captures a wide demographic of people and fits into their business model nicely. And I don't think PF Chang's is really trying to trick anyone into thinking it's real authentic Chinese food either. For what it is, it's pretty good.

Now, my boyfriend and I arrive at PF Chang's and we let our server know that we were in a hurry because we needed to be at the nearby Buell Theater in an hour and a half, so we'd appreciate it if they could take our drink and food order right away. It did take a long time for food to come out, which we understand isn't always anyone's fault, but we saw three other tables who came after us get their food before us. We were starting to get to the point in the night where we had to leave for our show, and let them know that if it was going to take any longer, we'd have to leave before we got our food. The food came out a few minutes after that and the manager (?) apologized and said he would comp our food for us. We really appreciated it and we were able to eat quickly and get out of there in the nick of time.

This could have been a really crappy experience, but I think the manager made it right as much as he could and we left happy. Wonderful customer service. And (sorry grandma... but...) I might even come back.

Super cute little place. Looks kinda run down from what I could see. One of the doors was just blowing open in the wind the whole time I was eating. It was a little messy in there too. When people were done with plates and cups, the cups were put on the floor for some reason and the plates were put in a plastic box on the floor by the stairs. I thought that kind of seemed untidy. I'm sure the staff were mostly college students since it's by DU. It didn't seem like they knew what they were doing, there was a lot of going to the back to ask their manager questions, but they were very polite the whole time and we got everything we needed. The food was really good and really fast. I don't think I'd take a date here if I wanted to impress them, but I'd come here again by myself because the food was nice and quick and yummy.

My boyfriend said that this is "a regular restaurant trying to be fancy with expensive prices." Made me chuckle a bit, but I've been to Dionysus a few times and I do think the wines are extremely expensive for what they are.

But it does feel very fancy. And it can be nice to feel fancy! The servers are very friendly and attentive. Our food came out super late, and the past few times I've been, it seems like the food takes a while to come out, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt here. It did taste good though!
