    • Kids Hair Salons

My son just got a trim here. I was so afraid they would mess up and ruin the baby bowl haircut I usually get at rockin locks. Patricia was the absolute sweetest and she did an amazing job trimming his hair and promising me not to use the razor on him. His haircut looks the same as his usual and it was half the price of the other place and much closer to me. The car selections for him to sit in were awesome too. My son was mesmerized. They were also really sweet and accommodating. I accidentally booked a girls wash, cut, and blow which was $40 and they advised me the person I booked with only do girls cut as well. They kindly squeezed my son in and only charged me $20 for the boys cut. I love this place. They do need a better selection of boys toys though. Maybe I'll just drop off some of my son's toys because he has too many anyway. Lol

      Downtown Flushing, Flushing

I don't understand all the negative reviews. This place is great. They have the best congee in all of Flushing. Their sampan congee and thousand year egg with pork are my top favorites. I'm glad I can still order from their lunch menu during dinner time because it really helps me out financially when I only need the food for my toddler. I ordered from Uber eats and my food came in hot! Everything was delicious. My son is a picky eater but he ate all the rice and Peking pork chop off his little plate. He even asked for seconds! I'm glad they're in Flushing now. The one in Chinatown was a classic. Good, decent prices too. For those people complaining about the congee coming in a quart container-all congee from everywhere come in quart containers. Also keep in mind, Uber eats and door dash take restaurants 60% of their profits, and they still fill their congee up to the rim. I hope they don't go out of business. This is probably one of the last Cantonese congee restaurants left in Flushing.

Sampan congee- it has squid, pig skin, pork, fish cake, peanuts and scallions in it.

      Updated review

Came here on a whim bc of too good to go. Love this mom and pop Korean owned coffee shop. Their egg salad sandwich was delicious. I also tried one of their blueberry lemon-ades. It was made with fresh blueberries and lemons and mixed with seltzer. I enjoyed it very much. Next time I plan to get their churros because who doesn't like churros?!?!

I ordered their earl grey grapefruit cake for my dad's bday, and we just ate it and had seconds. The cake is absolutely delicious. It was fragrant, the cake was moist, not overly sweet, and the grapefruit added a tangy juiciness to it that balanced the fluffy moist cake. It was fantastic. One of the best cakes in Flushing I've had in a long time. I hope the cake becomes a staple for them.

thought this would be cheesy, but the experiences are well thought out and super cute for the kids. Each experience is 30 minutes and the staff tries to be interactive with the kids. My kid had a great time with their Disney experience. The toys in the store are well organized and thought out with specific themes. They sell everything at regular retail value, but I'd rather support them than Amazon. I bought my son a rent truck set and when he opened it I think the ladder on the truck snapped off. Not sure, but they were so nice about letting me return it and getting another one for him.

    • Japanese, Noodles, Sushi Bars

      Union Square, New York

      Aug 7, 2022

This review is mainly for the service and not the food. I used to come here when I was without kid and it was good. However, today I came in with two kids, my sister in law and my brother, and our waitress was so rude. Firstly, she put us in the back next to the restroom which is fine, but we were practically forgotten or dismissed. Every meal we tried to order she couldn't accommodate for us. I got the omakase premium sushi set and it comes with noodles. For one of the noodles We asked if she does not put curry or spicy oil in it so we can give it to the kids and she refused and said it's not possible. My sister in law was like just don't put the chili oil, and she just kept saying no. We tried to explain to her that the noodles were for the kids and they don't eat curry or spicy because they're 3. She then replies that the restaurant doesn't have a kids menu, basically telling us the restaurant doesn't accommodate to kids. Wtf. So rude. Then I asked her if I can just purchase a separate small bowl of soy dashi udon for the kids and she said no they can't and that I have to buy one of the udon soups on the menu which doesn't have plain soy dashi udon on it. So basically for me to get the soy dashi noodle i have to order another entree?!?! Wtf! How can you provide it as a side but I can't purchase one separately?!?! Then she comes back with small plates for us but there are 5 of us and she only gave us 3 little plates. The whole time we were trying to order and just get plain broth with noodles she was rolling her eyes and telling us they don't have food for kids here. All I wanted was a plain broth bowl of udon for the kids, and they couldn't even accommodate that when they do serve it as a side when you order entrees. She then proceeds to give me my small bowl of soy dashi udon that I give to the kids, but she gives me the wrong sushi platter. The bottom line is this place isn't kid friendly and they won't make simple accommodations for you. My two tods basically starved and just shared one cup of French fries and a tiny bowl of soy dashi udon. Never again. Absolutely rude, stuck up behavior. The udon is good, and the sushi was ok, but the service is terrible. As a parent, I cannot recommend this place for families. I think that is what the restaurant wants too, so that's how they will behave especially when restaurants are struggling post-covid.

I ordered the premium omakase and they gave me this. Missing ikura and scallop and just better quality sushi.
