I didn't know you could rate doctors on yelp! Well to further legitimize this forum, or deligitimize it, yelp is not a medical professional forum. I am not a medical professional, that is my disclaimer. However I will use facts to back up my claims. Dr. Hicks is a superb professional and he also handles adult ADD. I have been seeing him for well over 2 years, and his actions when we first met led to a life saving procedure.
I live and thrive with add, however in 2009, when him and I first met, ADD was keeping me down and out. So I went on Strattera, which worked brilliantly for quite some time, however the benefits wore off and we discussed replacing strattera with a stimulant. Dr. Hicks made the stimulant prescription contingent on an EKG; I am not sure why he wanted me to scheduled an EKG, it could of been my medical history, or he most likely does this with everyone. The small EKG test found a big problem in my heart. I had a bicuspid aortic valve with a root aneurysm; I needed surgery basically to correct this.
Long story short, Dr. Hicks did used my medical history and did what was best for me. I would hear how easy it was to get adderall/stimulants for ADD therapy, however my situation proved otherwise. I am thankful for his expertise and I recommend him to others.

It is disappointing that many negative reviews seem to only relate to the customers posting it themselves. Take negative reviews with a grain of salt because what may work for some doesn't necessarily work for others. Lets not forget that we are only human and we have many biases and unfortunately prejudices as well. With that being said, the atmosphere in Jean Claude is very upbeat and more welcoming compared to other Salons in the Hillcrest/Bankers hill area. I followed Carlos from his previous salon to Jean Claude and the place is very organized and has all the necessary tools that allow each stylist to perform to his or her best.
Carlos is a true professional and cuts hair the way you want it. He is confident and willing to use his own ideas to make your hair style better than before. Carlos is without a doubt the best stylist and that is why my entire family including me go back to him anytime we need a touch up or a new style. I admit I panicked when I found out he left his old Salon, however we found him and are glad to be his customers.

Andrew put a piece on my arm in dedication of my grandmother , "Nana." The piece included her full name and three roses underneath her name. Andrew wrote her name in the type of cursive taught to school kids in the 1930's and 40's based off her address book she kept. I also mentioned her love of roses and he designed them in the manner I described. The piece turned my family into tattoo lovers and people where I work always ask who did it and if he can design one for themselves. The art speaks for itself and it truly is art meaning not everyone can do they type of work that Sinister ink can.
The procedures are professional and according to California blood pathogen standards (I am not an expert, however there are credentials at every tattoo artists' desk). The tattoo I received didn't show blood at all, not even a tiny drop. Andrew's designs are art, and his methods are an art form perfected through is experience. The other tattoo artists at Sinister ink are professionals as well and have their own specialties and they perform at the same level as Andrew.
I received my first tattoo here and I am looking forward to going back to get some color and shading added. So whether or not its your first tattoo, or you are an experienced tattoo enthusiasts with intricate designs in mind, this place out performs them all. Not too mention the tattoo chairs and tables are comfortable and you can watch movies during the process.
