Really happy with the quality of the service I received here and fantastic and friendly communication throughout. Had a head unit and backup camera installed on my pickup truck and the job was super clean for a fair price. Definitely coming back in the future. Thank you!

We took the intro to beekeeping class and had a wonderful time. We learned so much in just a few hours and it has us thinking about not just whether / how to be beekeepers ourselves, but how to support local bee populations. Highly recommended!

Prompt response and cleared our drain issue with an up front explanation of pricing / considerations. We had to have the toilet temporarily removed because there wasn't an available cleanout, which increased the quoted price but we found it reasonable. Would use Burtech again.

They did an excellent job with our senior dog who can be quite a handful being blind and deaf. They took a bunch of extra time to make sure her paws were especially cleaned up, which have always been an issue for us. She seems quite content with the new cut. We will be coming back! Thank you.

tl;dr My SO and I visited Paradisaea during their opening and were thoroughly impressed. Definitely coming back.

Food and drink: The menu is well rounded and interesting without being too intimidating. Upscale California coastal with something for everyone - maybe not kids. We chose 4 dishes to share, plus dessert, and two cocktails each. Perfect amount of food, but could go for more or less depending on your hunger. The halibut crudo (thai basil, finger lime, strawberries, chili oil) was a perfect acidy/sweet/herbaceous starter. Beef tenderloin was perfectly cooked and the bed of corn + ragout it sat on was a surprise standout. Star of the show for us was the flatbread and jamón ibérico, which was served with some kind of tomato compote. Sounds simple, but blew us away. Mudpie for dessert is not to be missed - whoever is doing the baking and desserts is killing it. Cocktails are creative and well executed, and feel like the right size and quality for the price). Wonderful meal all around - kudos to the chef and the kitchen.

Atmosphere: So much detail, so much to look at, excellent use of the space. A touch of Palm Springs vibe, in a good way. There's just enough separation in the bar and dining rooms to feel like their own, but sight lines to keep it cohesive. My SO is the Principal Designer at our own interior design studio (fishandcostudio.com) and was applauding the care and time that went into everything to make it feel special. Like how curved soffits aren't necessary and might drive a builder crazy, but definitely add that "something". What appeared to be hand made and glazed tile inlaid into the tabletops were just beautiful. Dishes, bar ware, cutlery were great. Even the separated bathroom walk was designed with care and a glass-look translucent separating wall. Leave the kiddos at home, definitely an adult spot.

Service: For having just opened, you wouldn't know it. Everyone seemed to have it together and we have no complaints. Very nice gesture for a glass of bubbly on the house as they knew we were celebrating our anniversary.

Value: The bill was $230 for 4 dishes, 4 cocktails, and 1 dessert, which was perfect for the two of us. You can get out for less, or make pricier or more selections. If you're super price sensitive, perhaps this isn't the place for you, but we were 100% satisfied - everything we ate and drank was superb and the bill was in line with expectations.

Congratulations on the opening - wishing Paradisaea a long and successful tenure in La Jolla. Thank you!
