Great little Italian spot in soho. All the food was delicious, we especially loved our pasta dishes. Both the Caesar salad and tiramisu were made table-side which was a nice touch. The servers and staff were all wonderful. Definitely check it out.

Full of potential but meal definitely fell short.

The wine list is unimpressive So many amazing kosher wines on the market and for the price of the food the wine list should match. They also didn't refill our wine glasses when empty and left us to pour our own (not sure if this was a kosher thing). Glasses should be refilled when empty (especially at this price point).

The appetizers were all decent (nothing stand out).

I got the dry aged tomahawk and while the steak was cooked to my desired temperature (med rare) there was no crust or browning on the meat. It's a shame because it would have taken the steak from just ok to delicious. I also got a bit frustrated conversing with the waitress, I was asking about specifics on the different meat cuts and she didn't really have any knowledge of meat (or food). I also asked if I could select a certain rib / request a steak with a larger cap and she didn't understand the ask.

My friend ordered the bronzino and asked if it could be deboned by the chef or waiter. The waitress was confused by the request and replied with " bronzino is a fish not a steak, it has bones" ... for the caliber of restaurant they're trying to be, deboning a fish for a customer should be an easy (and understood) ask.

My other friend ordered the fillet. Cooked to his desired temp but needed a bit more seasoning (salt).

I enjoyed the meal overall but for $600+ for a group of 3 I think it should be better.

It's a welcome addition to the area's kosher scene but the food was mediocre. Got a few appetizers and then the dino ribs, burnt ends and the 1/4 chicken as mains. All were slightly on the dry side (especially the burnt ends which didn't have the fat content expected). The burnt-ends were drenched with bbq sauce that was bit overpowering. The Dino rib was cooked fine but seasoning was off. Chicken was average.

Service was slow but very nice.

Would I come back...maybe. Hopefully they can step up their food game. Potential is definitely there.

We were a party of five, excited for our meal to celebrate my twin brother's and my birthday. We specifically selected Sushi Yasuda, based on countless past good experiences at this restaurant - a classic NYC staple. However our meal was pretty horrible. We were seated at 09:30pm excited for our Omakase experience, but we were met with a rushed, conveyor belt experience filled with dishes piling our table. They would bring out one dish of food and before even having the chance to take a single bite the next dish was already brought to us. We asked the server several times to slow things down to let us enjoy each plate (this request was ignored). 30 minutes into our meal we were told that the kitchen is closing and we need to make our further selections for the evening. Part of the standard omakase experience at Yasuda is to eat until you're full and to enjoy and appreciate each piece of fish. Instead we had to anticipate how hungry we would be for the remainder of our meal a quarter way through and told that we needed to wrap things up. On top of everything the fish, while fresh was roughly cut and sloppy looking.

If at 9:30pm on a Saturday the restaurant is unable to provide their regular caliber of Omakase they should have instructed us to order al a carte instead. Instead we were charged a premium to experience Omakase (over $1200) to be given a lower quality meal. We could have ordered the same meal off the al a carte menu for literally a fraction of the price. But we opted to pay more for an experience that we did not receive.

Highly unsatisfied and having complained to the server several times, we eventually asked to speak to the manager who basically shrugged his shoulders indicting we were tough out of luck.

It was our birthday and they didn't even give us an opportunity to order dessert because the "kitchen was closed". Give me a break, spend over $1000 on dinner - at a Michelin star restaurant - and can't even get a scoop of ice cream.

I guess all good things come to an end and Yasuda is certainly not what it once was. With so many amazing sushi restaurants in the city, don't waste your money here.

If you're looking for a low key atmosphere with top quality fish, this is your place. A neighborhood gem that is seemingly off most people's radars.

The restaurant itself could use some updating (fresh paint, some new artwork, etc) but it almost adds to the charm.

This is a tiny mom and pop sushi restaurant (the restaurant has new owners since August) who go a step above the competition. Much of the fish is from Japan and you can tell that the owners care very much about providing an authentic and delicious dining experience.

Prices, are a bit higher than the typical local sushi spots (amura, sushi ren, etc.) but you're getting much much better quality food.

We tried several of their sushi rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, the sushi dinner (amazing value at $33), miso cod, and the mushroom soup and it was all terrific. They serve traditional style sushi, so don't come expecting many specialty rolls.

As a side not, all the tableware used (plates, cups, etc) were beautiful.

With so many great sushi options in the area (ishikawa, gari, tanoshi, poke, etc.), Inase stands out for providing a great balance of casual dining and top quality food (there's not always time for a 2-3 hour omakase). It's a great weeknight option and can't wait to go back!
