Scary & Unsanitary. My wife went there recently. (I'm writing this for her because her written English isn't that great).

She was so horrified by what she saw there that she actually started sending me pictures - while she was there! They did x-rays of her mouth and they put this huge clunky jaw bite thing in her mouth, like something from the 1950s, to keep her mouth in the right position for the x-rays. It was one of those large things you have to bite down on.

Today, modern dentists just put in a small square plate kind of thing on the side of your teeth for x-rays. (Sorry, I don't know the name of it. Maybe my English isn't so great for a medical review either!).

But the real problem was - this thing had been used previously by other patients... many times. There were teeth marks all over it where previous users had bitten down on it. DISGUSTING! AND there was DIRT on it. My wife has shown me the pictures (I wish I could post them here) because you can really see dirt in the cracks and crevices of this gigantic piece of plastic that they put in her mouth. So, there was dirt and tooth marks.

My wife complained and the hygenist said, 'no problem, we sterilize it after each use.' Well, it didn't look sterilized. And the main question is - why do they ever use something that goes in people's mouths ON MORE THAN ONE PATIENT!?

Dentists today don't do that anymore. Today, EVERYTHING that goes into your mouth is new and only used once. Except of course for the metal scraping tools and that kind of thing.

Just to give you an idea of how backwards this place is - they didn't even offer her mouthwash and water to rinse her mouth out after each procedure. Amazing, right?

From her description and photos, it was like going to a 1950s Soviet health clinic!

They also never asked my wife anything about her dental history. I thought that was standard - dentists (and all doctors) always ask about your history. But they didn't ask anything about it.

At the end of the visit my wife asked the hygienist if she could have a copy of her x-rays and the report that she wrote. The dentist, Dr. Zara, upon hearing this, ran over and demanded, "ARE YOU GOING TO ANOTHER DENTIST?" My wife said, "No, but I'm entitled to have a copy of my reports - I have rights, don't I?" And with that she grunted, "Yes, you do" and gave her the reports.

My wife did complain to them about the cleanliness of everything and you know what they said? They said she was just being dramatic and that no one else has ever complained about it before. Well, just because other people might be too uninformed to know better - isn't an excuse for unsanitary and substandard practices. Just because you've gotten away with it because your clientele is ignorant - isn't a justification.

Later, my wife went to a government-subsidized dental clinic and couldn't believe how much better they were. Everything was super clean, nothing like this antiquated device was used. And nothing was used on more than one patient (except the metal tools). So, just to put it into perspective, the government clinic was better than this private doctor.

I love this place. Dr. Rustagi is wonderful and loves to explain everything in easy to understand ways. I always have a thousand questions and feel like he's not going to have time to answer them all. But he never acts rushed or like he doesn't have the time. Ask him any question and he'll be happy to give you the answer - in a way you'll be able to understand.

The shop is beautiful and they have the best collection of eye glasses I've seen anywhere. I always hate it when I have to get new glasses because most places carry frames that I either don't 'get' or just plain hate. But they have a truly beautiful collection high-end designer frames. You'll leave not only seeing better, but looking better as well!

This was the worst Indian I've ever tasted in my life! My wife and I went there for lunch today. She's from Pakistan - which was carved out of India - so she's an expert amateur Indian chef. And I've now eaten her dishes long enough that I can tell the difference between authentic and wonderful and fake and horrible. Not all fake is horrible... but this fake was.

First, my take... I had the chicken tikka masala. And my first thought was that the masala sauce tasted like Italian spaghetti sauce. Not even a hint of spice or any Indian flavoring! The chicken was way over cooked and very hard. Two minutes into this ordeal I found my mouth watering at the thought of my wife's next Indian meal.

My wife had the chicken biryani. To sum it up she said it was the worst biryani she has ever eaten in her entire life! To make a long story short, the chicken was terrible, the rice was terrible and the flavor was non-existent. The chicken was overcooked on the outside and very lightly cooked on the inside. The rice was greasy and tasted like it was three days old. And like mine - a total lack of spices.

And for these two meals and a glass of milk for our baby - it came to almost $50!! We could have made a much better meal at home for about 8 bucks. So where they get off charging $50 for this, I can't even begin to imagine. $25-$30 I could understand... but $50 is way over the top... especially with all the money they're saving by serving yesterday's food and not using any spices.

Just horrible, horrible food. McDonald's is a better bet!

Jay from Lemon Protector was awesome to work with. He's a real pro who really knows cars. I was looking at a used car at a dealership in Queens that's run by a bunch of bozos. They kept screwing me around and telling me one thing and then doing another. Their scammy ways were leading me to believe that the car I had looked at had been in a major accident that they were trying to hide. Carfax said the car was clean, but you can't trust Carfax 100%. Not every accident is reported to them.

When I looked at the car I could indeed see that there had been some damage to the hood that had been repaired. The repair looked pretty nice (to my eyes), but you could see a slight hint of the damage even after it had been painted. That also led me to suspect the car had been in a major accident.

Setting up an appointment for Jay with this bozo dealership turned into a bit of a nightmare. They told me he could come out the next day and they'd have the car out and ready for him to look at. Jay showed up exactly when he had promised and my salesman at the dealership told him they had "lost" the car! He had no idea where it was. Again, more reason to suspect they had something to hide and didn't want anyone who knew what they were doing looking at it.

All the signs led me to believe I should give up on the deal. But curiosity got the better of me and I really wanted to find out if they were scammers or bozos!

Jay couldn't hang around and wait all day for the car so he left. The dealership promised me they'd have it out the next day and Jay said he would come by - even though he was scheduled to leave at noon for his Christmas vacation. He told me he could only come by at 9:30 a.m. and the car had to be there.

We both showed up at 9:30 and the car was there, but it was stuck in a very tightly packed garage. Jay rolled with the flow and started doing whatever he could given the tight space. He immediately spotted that the whole car had been repainted (not a good sign). He went through every inch of the car, including the engine and underneath (as best he could).

He told me the car had the exterior damage (scratches, paint job, etc.) that I could see. But in the end he said it had NOT been in an accident! (Shock to me). And he told me the engine looked fine.

I was very glad to get his expert opinion and most appreciative of how much he went out of his way to accommodate this idiotic dealer.

We found Tap Out on yelp and there was only one positive review so we weren't sure. But I called and talked to Al who is the owner of the business. In my book, whenever you can deal with the owner, do it. And unlike the national pest control companies which are nothing but big scammers in my book - Al actually gave us a rough estimate of the price over the phone. It infuriated me that no other company would do that. They know exactly what they're going to charge but they all tell you they can't give you even an estimate until they see your place. So what are you supposed to do - have 10 different companies come out, waste your time for an hour each just so you can get an idea of the price? That's why I was so appreciative of Tap Out for at least giving me an idea of the price. (And in the end, that's exactly the price they charged)!

And the price was much lower than I had read online that people were paying for bed bug treatments. So we decided to go ahead.

Our first impression when he showed up was that he was a professional. He was well dressed - unlike the two ghetto looking guys that another company sent over - who we were actually afraid to have in our home.

He told us he would do two treatments about two weeks apart, and then if we had any problems within 60 days he would do another treatment. And he was good for his word. After the first two treatments we didn't see anything but dead bugs. But a couple of weeks later we spotted a live one. So, I called and Al came right out a couple of days later and sprayed again. Since then, nothing!

Also, I asked what type of pesticide he uses for bed bugs and he uses the absolute best kind available today. It's more expensive than others, but I knew when he told me, that he knows what he's doing and he's willing to pay to give his customers the best.

A couple of the other reviewers praised him for being so compassionate. But we weren't looking for compassion! We just wanted someone who was competent, honest and could do the job without robbing us of every last cent we had. And Tap Out fit that bill to a T.
