Zuhause Bakery & Coffee

Zuhause is honestly one of the nicest places to sit, eat, chill and enjoy the company of friends and family. The food is pretty good for the price point. The Vietnamese coffee is just amazing! The burgers are great! The picture attached is a shrimp cobb salad which was pretty good. (I'm not a salad girl but I'm trying.) They have a variety of yummy pastries. Of course, everyone's taste buds are different but if you like simple and clean flavors then it's your spot. If you're looking for unique spices and herbs, possibly not. But I love the atmosphere, so I will continue to try new things there.

Zuhause is such a nice addition to Lafayette.

The environment was so well thought out. The interior is extremely spacious, with room for studying or dining. The outdoor seating is also a wonderful addition, especially for a nice day out.

The food. So much to offer! Their baked goods are truly impressive and incredibly original. They also have gelato. Seriously all the foods to satisfy any sweets craving. I can't comment on their actual food, however. Just the desserts. I love that their desserts aren't overly sweet. It's just enough to satisfy a sweets craving, without making you feel guilty.

The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable enough to make great recommendations.

Overall, I would definitely come back to Zuhause next time I'm in the area.

The space is so modern and lovely. I love the artsy interior and the laid back vibe, friendly service and the food is great. I feel like this would be such a great space to meet up with friends, do some work or just chill out solo.

I had a shrimp poboy which was different than I was expecting but I've been thinking of getting again it ever since. My lunch date got the Killer Club, which I sampled and was amazing. We also split two scoops of honey granola gelato and a slice of tres leches cake-both of which were very delicious and highly recommended.

I'll be back for sure!

Great service and a wide selection of coffee, pastries and baked goods! There's also a menu for stuff in the kitchen. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and it was delicious!

Zuhause is a nice coffee and dessert establishment, the decor is very modern and relaxing. I ordered a white chocolate mocha and a Sammie custard both were very delicious. I also had a scoop of the gelato it was so refreshing, I will definitely visit again and would recommend to family and friends.

The farmers breakfast and Zu-fries are my absolute favorite!!! The pulled pork on the Zu-fries is some of the best I've ever had

Great customer service, I went through the drive-thru, although the inside does look very inviting! Yummy pastries, I got the Apple cinnamon muffin! Perfect for the holidays. I accompanied that with an iced vanilla latte, which had the perfect amount of sweetness! I'll definitely be coming back!! #BL9

This is a relatively new bakery and coffee shop that fits a need in this part of town.

They have a lot of different baked items (pastries , breads, pretzels and some breakfast items and lunch items. They also have gelato which pairs nicely with a double espresso.

The service here is very friendly and of course, they have free WiFi and a pleasant atmosphere.

Stop in and try out this German inspired coffee house.

I was so happy to learn of a German bakery. The shrimp poboy is delicious! The guy who waited on us advised that the owner catches the shrimp from their own shrimp boat. The bread is flaky yet soft and melts in your mouth. The pickled cucumber adds just the right amount of crunch. I've also tried the chicken salad, bratwurst, and schnitzel. Not quite what I was used to in Germany and probably would not order again.

On to the desserts and drinks! I thoroughly enjoyed the crack pie and hot chocolate. The Vietnamese coffee was yummy yummy in my tummy and I usually don't drink coffee. The donut was just sweet enough and didn't spike my sugar for my GD. The gelato was aight but I just tried a few samples. I sooo wish they served up some spaghetti eis!!!

Overall, the decor is nice, clean, and inviting. Makes me feel like I can spend hours catching up or getting some work done.

This place has gone from great to garbage in a snap of a finger. New ownership has done nothing less than destroy what once was an enjoyable dining experience. This place was never reasonably priced but steady with the old owners they produced good food. Now, it is still overpriced with terrible outcomes in the kitchen. Do not waste your time or money going here. Again new owners has brought this place down. Go across the street to subway or McDonald's and you will find yourself saving money and getting the same quality type of food. Du bist raus.

Easily one the cutest bakery/coffee shop on this side of town. I 100% am in love it's the aesthetic! I mean, I love a mean decor and can appreciate when a business puts thought and love into their design. Zuhause wins bonus points there.

I came here 830 pm on a Saturday night. It had a good amount of people but it wasn't super crowded. We got the matcha gelato (loved), hazelnut gelato (good) and only one pastry. Mind you, this was after a heavy dinner so I didn't get to try as much as I wanted! Sadly.

My SO got the Vietnamese Iced Coffee with a double shot added (he loved it) but I can't speak for this since I'm not a coffee connoisseur.

Major plus - they have Affogato! Not many places do. I wasn't in the mood for one, but the fact that they have it on the menu speaks volumes.

I would recommend as a study spot considering they have large tables with ample amount of space to spread out your books, even comfy one-wall booth seating. Also good for dates and post-dinner coffee. I will definitely be coming back to try more sweets!
