Zacatecas Mexican Restaurant

So everyone has their preferences and I personally thought the food was tasty. Our server was friendly and accommodating

Chips were warm and fresh, salsa was ok, I prefer mine a little spicier , but nevertheless it was decent

Love the Regular Taco with Ground Beef. Meat was seasoned well, and what I liked was it was not greasy.

The Chile Relleno was yummy, thank goodness the batter not too thick (just the way I like it), and it was finished with gravy. The cheese came oozing out once you cut into it. Delicious.

And I loved the cheese enchilada. It reminded me of one of my favorite places in Lodi that closed down quite a few years ago.

Hubby loved his dishes too. When we are back in town we shall return. Definitely am looking forward to trying a margarita next time

I keep trying this place over and over hoping for better. Rice is dry and flavorless, beans are starchy and over-salted. Carnitas are dry, salsa is underwhelming, soda is flat, carne asada is gristly and chewy, chile relleno is not appetizing and the shrimp al mojo de ajo is a massive rip off! If this place ever lost their liquor license I suspect it would go under. Simply one of the worst restaurants in Galt that survives because of its location and bar.

I've gone 3 times now. Every time I've gotten something different and each time it gets harder to get something different the food is so good I know whatever I order will come out delicious! This time I got the twi mini tostadas and I did not know how big the serving was! I'm getting the bang for my buck and it's just more reassurance that I will always be satisfied when I come here

Was driving through town for work and stopped in here for lunch. Quickly seated and given chips and salsa (thanks to the bus boy). Reviewed the menu, and closed it......10 minutes later..2 wait staff passing by me several times...no one bothered to stop and take my order or say that someone would be right with me. The restaurant was not overly busy either.
Needless to say I gathered my belongings and left, I did leave a dollar for the chips and salsa.
Will not be stopping here again.

After camping overnight a few weekends back, I was ready to get my grub on while headed back home. I ended up stopping at this little hole-in-the-Wall Mexican restaurant right off the highway to grab a cold beer and some sustenance. A glass of Modelo especial and the favorite dish of chicken and rice sure hit the spot after eating camping style food over the weekend. The service was fast and friendly, the restaurant was clean and tidy, and the food was pretty dang tasty I will admit. I would stop in here again.

This is the best Mexican food in Galt !

Ok so here's the deal. I was born and raised in NM so I know what chile and Mexican food should taste like. This place was off the chain fantastic. The flavor, the temp, the amount, the service and attention to customer concern OMG I give them a perfect rating! I will come back here to eat very time I come to Cali! And the- I got the check no no no wait the beer on tap was ice cold forgot that part! Ok the check came in was expecting probably 50.00 nope-
22.39 for 3 beers, chips, salsa, and bean dip and red chile plate and 2 orders of tortillas. I'm hooked!
The only slight disappointment was the flour tortillas, I mean I'm used o fresh made daily, but I ate em all lol!

So sick and tired of piss poor quality food and service. And to think there is a Mexican restaurant on every corner in CA, you'd think you can find great Mexcian food. This was a reminder why we seldomly chance this place. Ordered for 3, one plate was made wrong, the salsa was extremely salty, the old waitress paid no attention to us after our order, our plates came out at different times, food was just good enough to stomach, nothing special. My wife's chicken fajita salad had absolutely no flavor on the chicken and they forgot the dressing. Waited 15 minutes after we ate to be acknowledged to get our ticket so we could leave. It's sad that anyone would think this is quality authentic food.

Nice friendly place with decent food. Good draft beer, amazing chips and salsa. Friendly people.

I dined here tonight for the first time, and had a the worst waiter that Ive ever experienced at an establishment! It was very clear by his body language that he resented having to wait tables! He leaned against a chair went he took our order nor offered no enthusiasm or help in regards to the menu items. He never took our menus off the table, nor cleared our plates when finished, or even asked how the food was. On top of all that, I found a PEBBLE (yes,as in small rock) in my enchilada!
I turned it in to the kitchen, via another employee working. I would have expected the Manager or Cook to come apologize or ask what happened...instead they sent over Mr. Personality, who could have cared less! He did remove half the bill however. When I stated that Im lucky I didn't break a tooth, he abruptly lost interest and looked out the window! He then just asked me if I wanted a new dish or a discount. How about a law suit Jack Ass! I will never send anyone to this place. BTW the food was just mediocre. Im a veteran to the restaurant industry and dined out since the 1970's, years and this took the cake! I don't know the rude waiters name, (since he never introduced himself) but he would be better fit to something else like work on cars, than to serve people their food and then expect a gratuity with his sour attitude!
