Yak's Fitness

So I've been coming to this gym for a couple of months. I called before coming in and Shelly, one of the owners, told me that I could try their gym for the day to see how I like it. I told my bf & we came in & got a tour from Chris, the other owner.

So our initial reaction of the place was that it was very clean. Everything was in its place & nothing was out of order! Having been to the bigger gyms like EOS & LVAC, it was almost normal to see machines out of order. Anyway, we got our workout on & immediately fell in love with the gym. It had everything we needed (I do, however, wish they had an assisted pull-up/dip machine cos I'm weak lol). We signed up after we were done!

The membership is higher than what I've paid at other gyms but I honestly don't mind. It's never really packed, even at peak time, which I appreciate so much. I quit my old gym because of that. So happy I found a gym near my house!

Very happy to have recently joined Yak's! With my neighborhood gym closed for an unspecified amount of time, and my home workouts not cutting it, I took a chance on a spot I've been driving by for years and I'm glad I did. Yaks is clean, not over-crowded, has a lovely staff, and has plenty of space/work out equipment. If you've been thinking about trying them out, take advantage of their free 3-day trial period and you'll see what I mean!

This gym is great! It's clean and it's pretty much never busy. The only thing I wish is that they continue the 24 hour service. As it's something I originally signed up for but now they don't have it any more

I've also been training with coach Jared for the last 3-4 months. He's been an amazing trainer helping me with my workouts and keeping me consistent at the gym. If you're coming to this gym definitely ask for him!

Chris, not sure what you're referring to regarding "required number of visits" - I was DILIGENT about the 3x per week commitment, I missed one workout during the 6 weeks and I made it up over the weekend.

But none of this is relevant to the issue here. Again, you are talking in circles to avoid the issue. You took $600 under false pretenses. Period.

For the simple fact, that I really don't want everyone to know of this little gem of a gym out here!! I was looking for a place that just brings in the kind of people who want to train. Not the phone savvy people, not the kids who want to sit on equipment and just let it go to waste, not the overpacked BS you find at your regular a$$ 20 Buck a month place. This Gem is perfect, the equipment is perfect. This team here legit takes pride if their place, and maintains their equipment to a standard above par. We aren't even gonna go into detail about cleanliness, we don't have to even consider that, it's supreme. This place attracts individuals who just want to escape the noise of a busy day, the stress. Just put your headphones on and forget the nonsense.

I canceled 2 other gym memberships within an hour of leaving Yaks. Didn't even think twice. This place is what I've been looking for. The customer service, unreal... the Owner. A down to earth, tell you how it is, non BS kinda guy.


I'm very pleased.

I find a community of polite and educated individuals who share a common goal of self-improvement.
I appreciate the quiet and respectful atmosphere of this gym. Everyone understands and respects each other's personal space, ensuring a comfortable and focused workout environment. There's no need to worry about loud conversations or distractions that can hinder your workout experience.

Went in for a trial; came out a member!

The gym is beautifully maintained, and very clean. The small crowd was great as I didn't have to wait for the machines I was hoping to use. Chris, the owner, is incredibly nice and very personable. It's very obvious that he has a lot of pride for the environment he's created, and openly treats the members as if they are family.

Looking forward to continuing my workout journey at Yak's!!

Awesome facility with great equipment. Ideal for those who want to get in and get to working out, without having to wait for machines like most other gyms. I loved working out there and only left because I moved out of state.

This gym is a game-changer! Their equipment is state-of-the-art and always in tip-top shape. Plus, the cleanliness level is unmatched. Hands down, the best gym in the area.

Chris is the man. Such a gentleman who truly cares about your well being. It's not about the money, he cares about helping you get to your goals. He was more than generous to my wife & I, we can't recommend Chris and Yak's enough. Mahalo brother

Great ownership, nice atmosphere. Not a bunch of teenie boppers sitting on their phones or filming lame "workouts" with tripods. Get in, do your stuff, move on.
