We have had our dog under the care of Dr. Hayley Robbins at Westhills Vet for the past 3+ years. She is an exceptional vet - extremely caring and has gone above and beyond to work with our fearful and anxious rescue. She has been patient, compassionate, knowledgeable and worked hard to build a relationship with our dog. Dr. Robbins is a great partner to have in your corner for your furry friend!
The Clinic staff are also all very professional. We recommend Westhills Vet and Dr. Robbins wholeheartedly and without reservation.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rhonda H.Calgary, Canada01Oct 5, 2023
Fantastic care from front desk to technicians to vet. I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else! The care and compassion from every staff member is top notch.

I have had great compassionate care from the vets here. I've put down two cats and it's obviously the worst, but the vets and the techs are soo nice and understanding. My kitten just got spayed and they were awesome with talking through concerns and updating me. My family's been going here for years and have loved the kindness the team shows to the animals.
I also have to say that I've tried a lot of clinics because one of my cats had a very rare neurological condition that was hard to diagnose and caused her to slowly lose function. It was awful and I was surprised how many vets weren't that compassionate or helpful. Westhills is one of the good ones.
I only take off a star because the prices could be more affordable, but then again you have to consider their costs are probably higher due to where they are in the city and how much extra care they put into their services. You get what you pay for and they are worth it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Debbie H.Calgary, Canada04Oct 25, 2018
They will only sell "certain" foods and items to people who do not bring their animals to them on a regular basis. If you are looking to buy food go somewhere else. Very short sighted on their part. I will spend my $150 per month that I spend on food at the Glamorgan Animal Clinic. Their staff actually want the business and are not rude like the staff at this clinic.

This place is awful. They are more interested in filling their pockets than your pets actual care. They are over priced and make you feel guilty for seeking a second opinion.

Two years ago we made the leap and took in a rescued Australian Shepherd puppy. Since then we've had numerous interactions with the Westhills staff and have found them to be caring, empathetic, decent people who are as concerned about the animals they care for as the owners.
I've interacted with four or five of the vets here. All are good humored, practical and demonstrated a solid grasp of situations routine and mildly complicated.
I have no idea what the woman from two years ago is talking about in her review from two years ago, let alone why they wrote it in third person. The front desk staff are troopers. They've squeezed me into a busy day twice when occasion demands and are always congenial and polite. The notion they're unprofessional is a load of balderdash.
Finally, a neighbor had a cat who was dying last year who, frantic, took it to Westhills in desperation. (They weren't her regular vet.) Despite there really being nothing they could do, the cat had expired in the car, they tried valiantly. In the end they demonstrated such a fundamental amount of basic human decency to a complete stranger that I can't fathom going anywhere else.

Always my go-to for my kitty's needs & check ups. Very empathetic and caring staff.
I have a very sick kitty but I always look forward to bringing her in because I know that she's in good hands. I've been coming here for 5 years and wouldn't dream of going elsewhere! I would recommend this vet to anybody.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Stephanie G.Calgary, Canada01Aug 20, 2016
My parents have been coming to the Westhills Veterinary Clinic for 15+ years. When my husband and I decided to adopt 2 cats it was a no brainer of what Veterinary Clinic, or what Veterinarian we decided to go with. Don't get me wrong everyone in this clinic is AMAZING, but Dr Sincair-Smith has seen our family pets for 15+ years and has gone above and beyond what we ever expected a veterinarian to do. The staff is always so understanding, and willing to help in any way that they can.
Unfortunately one of our two cats passed away from what we think was Cancer. It all happened so quickly that we didn't have any time to react to what was happening. One month she was fine and the next she was gone. No one that we know of, has ever had a Veterinary Clinic let alone the Veterinarian call just to see how my Husband and I were doing after this happened. Just another reason that this Clinic has gone above and beyond.
We have and always will recommend this Clinic to anyone.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yw F.Calgary, Canada01Oct 26, 2016
I regretted. Although it is very close to my home, I would rather find another vet.
The front desk staff are not professional enough. I am very disappointed. First of all, the staff got the client's name and phone wrong on file and on the invoice. It is very major typing mistake. Very carefulness. Secondly, I don't think they updated the correct information after I emailed them the right contact.
How come the owner hire such a non-professional staff ?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aymie R.Calgary, Canada1205013Jul 31, 2013First to Review
My go-to clinic for all of my dog's needs. Westhills Vet has been fantastic since my dog was a pup - we've been coming here for almost 10 years. The vets have great bedside manners during check-ups, and the staff is fantastic with getting your pet in as soon as possible if there is a more urgent issue.
