Misty is super nice! She's even willing to travel to do hair! She's very understanding and kind and I'm so excited for her to do my hair because clearly she slays!

Misty is on POINT! She is very prompt, on time, is in constant communication and friendly. I bought a full lace wig from luv me hair (don't ever buy) but anyway I took it there and she said it was wiggy. I was really worried how my hair would turn out. She went to town pluckin on the wig. I also don't like a lot of baby hair and she listened and did what I asked instead of doing what she wants. When she twirled me around in the chair I was like DAMN! She slayed the wig even though it was trash! So next time I come here I'll be buying a custom wig for her to install! Will definitely go back!

Update: I warned you. Her response to my initial review is bull and I have proof if she wants to continue. I'm just now revisiting this page and seeing the review previously left. She is terrible, a liar, a fraud, uses people's work for promotion (i have proof in case she wants to deny it). DO NOT COME HERE! TRUST ME!! I will also be reporting her as I had no Idea i could previously. Thank you!

I saw Misty's ad on Craigslist (no name/business name). According to the pics shown on this ad her work with custom wigs looked very good. I mean the work on the pictures were on point. I texted Misty and asked her did she make custom wigs. She said yes. I wanted a glueless custom wig and I had a picture that I texted to Misty to show her exactly what I wanted. I went to Weave Beaters Glam Shop in Inglewood on 1/20/20 (my birthday). Initially, I thought this stylist was very nice, kind and genuine when I first met her. I live far and caught the bus over there to get a custom wig done. I brought to her beautiful Brazilian Body Wave hair in 10, 12 and 14 inches. Also, the 3 bundles included a 10 inch frontal. The frontal was nice and laid very well. It was free parting in the frontal. It was truly nice. Misty, volunteered to pick me up from the bus stop because I wasn't sure where her salon was located (the directions). I thought this was very generous and kind of her. We (Misty and I) arrived to her shop and she measured my head. She measured only my circumference (20 cm). I have a very petite head and this is why I choose to get my wigs made. I left my nice hair with Misty and not once did she complain about the hair or recommend other hair. The total cost to make the wig was $200. This included the style, plucking, baby hair(natural not a lot). I thought this was a good deal considering I have paid more for wigs. I left her $100 deposit in cash, received my receipt owing only a balance of $100. Misty told me the hair would take 5-7 days to make, but it could be earlier. I checked in with Misty through text later that week to see a definite day of completion of the wig. She texted me back and stated it would be ready by Sunday. While this wig was being made I wanted to find a braider and someone closer to make my next wig. Currently, I choose to not have a car at this time and I want to have places closer to me. Today (1/25/20) I got on Craigslist again and I saw these beautiful custom made wigs and nice braiding pictures. I immediately texted the individual who posted the ad. There was no name or business on the ad. I texted the number. it end up being Misty (wow). She replied that she compared my number on her other line and knew this was me and this was her other number. I thought to myself, # 1 why are you comparing numbers when people reach out to you. Next, why don't you put your name or business on your ads. Lastly, I felt like oh my goodness I hope this woman doesn't get upset because I'm looking for another wig maker closer to me. I responded that I was looking for a closer wig maker and braider for the future. She replied she understood and told me she would have an update on my wig later. This was in the morning. I didn't hear anything back from her. So around 6 pm I texted her for an update. She told me the wig was ready. So, I asked her to send me a pic of the wig. Misty texted her phone was dying and the other line sent blurry pics. She stated she would send a pic in 20 mins. However, it took her 2 hours to send me pictures of the wig. The wig looked nothing like the hair I left her nor did it look like the wigs shown in the ads on Craigslist. I texted Misty back and told her I was not happy with her work. She told me when I saw the wig in person it would be better and the quality of hair wasn't good. I responded that if she felt the quality of hair was not good she should have mentioned that and I would have replaced the hair. This is not true. The hair was good. She wasn't good. Misty does not do custom wigs like her false advertisement of pics that she has shown on her ads. Clearly, those pictures on the ads are not the same person who made this so-called wig that she made for me. I told Misty that she is doing false advertisement and she is not the same person who made the wigs as advertised. Also, my sister seen one of the pics that she is using on her ad on someone else's Instagram page. I told Misty instantly when I reached out to her that I wanted someone professional and talented. She knew this. She is neither. She told me to pay her the balance for her services or she will keep the wig. I told her to keep the wig and I will be reporting her on Monday to the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. Misty got upset and threatened me. I have the text to prove it. She told me, "If I were you I wouldn't go there with me...just saying stop before it gets real bad for you and you lose the little that you have. Let it go." I have never been threatened by a stylist. A supposed to be licensed stylist at that. I asked her to clarify her threat and so far there has not been a response. I have told all the people around me and loved ones that she made this threat toward me. I let Misty know this matter is in the hands of the law. I believe the hair on this wig is not my hair that I brought in. PLEASE BEWARE of Craigslist ads and stylist like her.

New to the Los Angeles area looking for a hairstylist & ran across Misty. She is nothing short of Amazing! I love my hair! Not only a outstanding professional, but she is sweet & very understanding when it comes to your needs. Didn't have a babysitter yet and she let me bring the kids. Very warm personality making sure we were comfortable . I've Been getting so many compliments on my hair. I definitely recommend her for all your hair care needs, & she has high quality bundles on hand as well for purchase.
