Watch the Time

I have a Tag Heuer watch that I unfortunately left the crown open and it caused the watch to flood. I took the watch to a watch repair man near me but he didn't want to touch it. He said I'd have to send it in to have it repaired at the factory. I live in Ventura, so driving to Reseda is a bit of a haul, but I have family that go to Watch the Time and won't go anywhere else because of how good Steve is. I decided that it was worth it to me to make the drive. My watch was given to me years ago by my father so the watch has sentimental value to me. Steve was great - he said he specializes in repairing and rebuilding high end watches. He took it apart quickly, analyzed the damage and said he'd have it ready in a couple days. When I picked it up the watch that was heavily corroded and rusted inside due to the water looked like new. Steve does an amazing job. His talent is incredible. He is a 3rd generation watch repairman and his passion for the job is second to none. He is the only place that I will take my watches to be repaired, the drive from Ventura is a small price to pay for such amazing service. Thank-you Steve!

Wow! So happy to have found this place! Have a Tissot and Omega that needed some love and didn't want to just send them anywhere. Thank goodness for Steve!

The highlights: He's very honest, repaired both watches quickly, and at very good prices.

The details: Knew the Omega needed full maintenance (taken apart, cleaned, reassembled and calibrated) and at first, we were a little hesitant. Were we really going to have our expensive watches fixed inside a grocery store??

Hell yes! Steve is amazing! (And to be fair, his store is outside the grocery store in yes "mall" part with a few other shops. )

He sent a picture with all the pieces laid out so we could see it was actually taken apart and cleaned.

I thought the Tissot was going to need the same treatment because I had never had it serviced and the crown was always a bit stuck. Steve could have just taken my money and pretended to do the same treatment as the Omega (which the other places I called were totally happy to do). Instead he was honest! He opened up the watch, told me everything was clean, oiled the crown and replaced the battery. He explained that since my watch was a quartz/battery and not automatic, the motor was basically "disposable". You don't take it all apart like the Omega and service it. If the motor is broken, you have to throw out the old motor and replace it. But he said that everything looked good inside (no corrosion) so we just started with a battery replacement.

Well, the poor little watch motor was actually kaput. Steve ordered a new motor and replaced it in 5 mins. Fixing the crown, replacing the motor and battery and resizing it was less than half of what others had quoted to "do a full maintenance" on my watch.

My husband and I are back to being able to wear our favorite watches and have Steve to thank for that!

Watch The Time is located in Valley Produce Market where some other stores are. I've stopped in a couple times so far for nothing more than battery replacements but I know and have seen Steve do much more. Each experience has been easy and smooth and straight to the point. Pricing is reasonable as well.

There's also some various things for sell like watches, watch cases, and clocks.

Parking is easy as the lot is pretty big, there's a front and back parking but since the store is in the back it might be easier to park there.

Amazing customer service! I came in for two watch battery replacements, a pin for a band, and a crystal change for three watches. Super reasonably priced. Very quick/efficient service and done within 20 minutes. I highly recommend this business and I will be back!

Located in Valley Produce Market with a few other stores. Needed battery changed on a few watches and he did the job. For a Movado watch he charged $15 and more luxury watches it was $20 for a new battery. He was able to put the new battery in pretty quickly and was very friendly.

Huge Shoutout to Steve! He got me in and out within seconds! Went in for a new watch adjustment and Steve took Customer Service Satisfaction to the next level! Came in just before closing and it did not matter to him. He made sure I was happy with my newly adjusted watch before letting me leave. Highly recommend for anyone requiring any watch services. The only place to go to for watch repairs. Had a Rolex that I thought needed a new clasp so I went to another place and was quoted $750 and a 2-3 week repair time which I thought was ridiculous and then went to Watch the Time after. Steve looked at my watch and literally fixed the clasp with his hands in front of me and in less than a minute my Rolex was perfect again. Charged me nothing, was straight up and honest and clearly is way more knowledgeable than these other watch repair places. Going here for all my watches from now on can't recommend enough.

If I could give Watch The Time 10 STARS, I absolutely would! I've been a customer of Steve's shop since 2014 (after my neighbor/friend, Doreen, recommended him to me). I'm kind of a "watchaholic", so I'm always needing either sizing, a battery, a new crystal, or something for one of my many watches.

I discovered a pretty vintage watch on eBay that seemed like a great buy, but it wasn't working upon arrival. So I naturally assumed it just needed a new battery. Steve replaced the battery, but it didn't seem to help. He then tested the battery - and it was fine. Steve tried a few things to get the watch to work, then told me the motor was no good, and needed to be replaced. The cost was reasonable, he got a new motor and installed it by the following day...and I just LOVE my new vintage watch! A big "Thank you" to Steve, at Watch The Time!!!
