My insurance doesn't cover my meds for the treatment I'm doing. The team here always helps me find ways to get appropriate discounts and find other ways to reduce the cost of medication. I wouldn't know how to do it without them, they are very kind. They are a specialty pharmacy, so they are busy filling orders, so you may have to wait if it is an order that was just submitted, and if you come during a busy time of day. But they have always made sure I get my medications even last minute if I needed them right away. Just play games on your phone if you are waiting, it's normal for not all things to be instantaneous. Very professional, helpful, and have the meds I need that others don't have!

My doctor refereed me to this Pharmacy.

So regret that I didn't check with my insurance before I came to this pharmacy.

I provided the staff with my insurance card. I asked the staff whether my insurance covered these medication. He said "NO". Then, I'm paying out of pocket for thousands of dollars of medication.

At last, I called my insurance and I found out that these medication is covered under my plan!!!

Thorough and attentive staff and always informs of promotions and discounts. I drive from Daly City for there service and professionalism. Although closed on the weekends, they do offer pickup from 9am - 1pm if you really need the convenience.

This is the best Walgreens ever! Emily and the team are absolutely superb!! As a healthcare provider they are my pharmacy of choice. Not only do I trust them to take great care of my patients but they take the time to go the extra mile and then call me if something is wrong.
Sometimes the prescriptions have to go to other pharmacies for specialty services and the insurance dictates the pharmacy but I always try to send to them!
This is what personalized care should be.

As a patient I have needed them to help me with complicated authorizations that my local Walgreens can't seem to manage . Sure enough every time they fix my problem in a day or so and call me to say it's fixed and my script is ready.

I had to get specialty Rxs filled here, but twice they made a mistake. Seems careless. Way too much time spent to get the right medications.

Came here with friends to get a prescription. There wasn't a big crowd, but they told us we'll have to wait about 20 minutes. In reality, it took more like 45 minutes and they didn't complete the entire order. In the end, we had to go to another pharmacy to pick up the rest of the presentation. I would not come back here.

Thank goodness this wasn't an emergency.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The service was good especially considering the situation we are in. They most of everything I wanted and offered to order the items that they were short of. They were very patient and answered all my questions

Generally easy to access and parking, although it's on the strip of the heart in Palo Alto!
Employees are friendly and patient to answer my questions whenever I call or visit. I totally went four times and everyone did the same smile to welcome me in!
Beyond the service, they are in the same page as we customers' concern about how to save the budget from medical expenses! Especially thanks Lawrence who is very knowledgeable, patience to me! I can't say more than thanks to him to help me established my medical knowledge based on my needs!

This review is for Disco Rex/Walgreens Specialty Pharmacy. I really believe that some of the other reviews are for the Walgreens general pharmacy a couple shops over.

We just picked up my IVF meds, and Eric an intern and Lawrence (Larry) PharmD helped us. They trained us on all the injections, were extremely helpful, patient, and even showed us tips on how to maximize one of the meds to save money. We are leaving feeling confident and that we were very well taken care of. Thank you!
