Vy's Nails & Spa

I had seen this nail salon for a long time because I shop at the Fry's across the street. I always thought about trying them because they're so close to my house but I was very happy with the salon I was going to and loved my nail tech. Then came the lockdown and my salon was closed. I heard that their techs wouldn't work because of the virus even when salons opened. I was desperate to find an open salon and saw on the news that Vy's would be open at midnight as soon as the lockdown ended. I called and they were already booked until 5am. I'm a night owl so I took it. They were all very friendly and my nails looked wonderful when I left.

I've gone several times now and I decided to write this review because they just got new owners. KP and Tiffany and wonderful people who I can tell are going to make Vy's better than ever. Tiffany did the most beautiful job on my stiletto nails that I have ever had. If you're looking for a nail salon that offers great service from friendly professionals who all make you feel right at home, you need to visit Vy's. You'll love them.

I came in for my first time to get a fill on my acrylics. My manicurist did a pretty good job with minimal imperfections, but she cut me when she was shaping my nails and the cut has been hurting me ever since and is a bit red and swollen now.. obviously this is a big problem, and I've been worried about an infection.
I was also very surprised when my fill ended up costing $35. I felt that this was this was really high, especially since there was no water soak/hand massage/or even lotion included. Just the acrylic fill.

Edit: I am a woman, I use the same account as my husband. I was in yesterday at 12 pm. It's disappointing that your reaction to a bad review is accusing me of lying :/

I have been coming here since I was 16 years old I am now 23 and it has always been fabulous ! They do have a new owner but everyone was very friendly. I had an appointment at 2pm and was seen right away! Sharon was my tech and she did a wonderful job I recommend her to anyone !

Thanks for the great mani and pedi Deb, I am now home enjoying an adult beverage.
This place is great! Always clean and neat, but they have stepped up their game due to COVID restrictions, so expect a safe experience.
Great conversations always abound, or you can sit and catch up on social media.
Snacks and beverages are always at the ready...heck you can even get a glass of wine!
My feet are sandal ready and my fingers are clean, neat and buffed!
I even got a bottle of hand sanitizer on the way out!

10/25 update
I wanted to message the business privately but that's an option on here. Today's experience was not the same as my first. The pictures say it all. Expectation vs reality. It was awful and I felt so rushed that I couldn't ask her to redo them AGAIN. I'd really appreciate a refund so I can get my nails done for my wedding next week elsewhere.


Just moved to this side of town and was in need of a new nail place. They fit me in same day, within an hour and did a great job. Full set of dip nails for a great price.

New owners. Super nice. Clean, nicely decorated and updated.
Now the part about my nail technician HELEN.
She is fantastic!
It's been a long time since I've found someone this thorough, gentle at the right time and friendly. Awesome pedicure with massage the way you want and sweet personality.
Please don't go anywhere Helen!!!

I want to start off by saying that I have a pretty thick skin and rarely get offended, but this is too off putting to not share. I find this to be crude, classless, and downright disturbing. Ladies, BEWARE!!!

I choose to come here because of the amazing reviews, well i walk in and i find out they've got BRAND NEW OWNERS starting today. Just my luck.
Okay, I'm giving 2 stars because the owner was nice and wanted to make me happy.
My pedicure is okay.
Not the best design but Darby still did well.

But my manicure was one of the worst I've had tbh. They were uneven, shape was off, there were divots and i asked for an ombré with Chrome which she said okay i can do that. Ask she did my ombré using gel polish it looked sloppy, i was skeptical but sometimes nail techs have surprised me by the end product so i said okay whatever, but by the time she was done she had take off the chrome color like 5 times bc it kept looking spoty.

I don't think I'll be going back for a manicure.

The owner gave me a 20$ gift certificate which doesn't even cover a manicure or pedicure of what i tried to get today and i still paid 45$ for my pedicure & bc I've never had to ask anyone to take stop and take my nails off i still tipped 5$ bc I'm that person and i felt bad bc i know she tried.

Maybe good for simple designs but if you're like me who likes more intricate designs i wouldn't suggest it.

Im averaging my 5 star review I would have given from last year when I went here more frequently with my low 1-2 star review I would give for my last time I was here this year. I used to get dip nails from one of their male manicurist and it was the best dip manicure I ever had! He did the cuticles perfectly, shaped just the way I wanted my nails without any jagged or snagging edges, prepped them very well and used the sheer set base to help protect my nail more and make light colors more visible with fewer coats. Those dip manicures would stick 4-6 weeks without lifting or snagging.
This last time he was no longer there, which was fine, but the dip manicure I received lifted after the first week, the cuticles were barely touched and removed, and color was applied without a sheer base coat/top coat.

Love how close this place is and they can always get walk ins in very quickly! Everyone is very friendly and I haven't gotten a bad pedicure so far! $24 for a classic pedicure is pretty great and they always give a great massage, much longer than some places. Highly recommend this place!
