Was both courteous and efficient

It's very difficult to find service or help on Sunday morning in this store
The lady with dark hair at the flowers shop is not friendly and apparently she doesn't want to help
They need a serious training in service to help customers.
The products are just ok

I love this place. It is right size - not overwhelming. Favorites are the section with precut veggies for fast meal prep. (Hamburger trimmings, flajita veggies, stuffed mushrooms.) The many fruits that are cut and packaged, the bakery hamburger buns. Deli salads are fresh. I wish they had a bigger sandwich area. The pharmacy is great. Wine and beer selection are good.

This market runs circles around the grocery stores in the same surrounding area. The weekly specials always include items that I regularly need, not just occasionally. I've used their express delivery service where I received a large grocery order within a hour. Unheard of typically with InstaCart. The produce in my order was fresh and perfect as if I handpicked everything myself. I admit the prices are not always lower than competitors, but I'm always appreciative of getting your money's worth where it counts. This store never disappoints.

I'm done with the butcher shop here. Horrible trimming and this time I opened up my chicken breasts to at least 50% inedible.

This is the closest grocery store nearest to the place we were staying at. We purposely came here to pick up steaks to grill. My heart was already set on a big bone-in ribeye. We hyped up our family how delicious and fatty ribeyes will be for dinner and since we typically get ribeyes at the Vons where we live we knew this Vons would be our go-to. When we started looking at our options, I did not see any ribeyes. I went to the meat counter and asked if they carried ribeyes, the employee said no. WTH?! What Vons doesn't carry ribeye? I was so disappointed. I guess we should be thankful they even carried steaks. We walked out with a couple family packs of T-bone steaks. Bummer...

I moved from Palm Springs to La Quinta in November 2022. I received a coupon card in the mail from Von's. There were two coupons attached. One caught my eye which was a free Rotisserie Chicken at the Vons near me. So I picked up the chicken, brought it home and it was the most tender Rotisserie Chicken I have ever gotten from a grocery store. I wanted to give the deli department a shout-out to let them know they are doing a great job! Now I know where I can get a great Rotisserie Chicken when I am swamped and don't have the time to cook! I am a happy member! THANK YOU VONS!

This is to compliment James Rich in the Meat Department at the Vons in La Quinta (at Hwy 111 and Washington St.)
My mom had sent me on a mission to obtain that beautiful ribeye steak roast on sale at Vons, after seeing the weekly ad that came in the mail on Tuesday.
$5.97 per pound!
There I had the ad in one hand, showing it to the butcher - James Rich - as I asked him about the ribeye roast for $5.97 per pound.
He showed me a beautiful assortment - "do you you have the digital coupon?" he asked -
"Digital? No . . . but I have this . . . and we have a Vons club number."
James then told me that I needed to have "clipped" the "digital coupon" .
It was right there in the ad, I realized, as I looked at the ad again.
I would be a dead duck if I didn't come back with that toast or didn't get it at $5.97 a pound.
I am probably the last one to find out and felt like a real cavewoman standing there in Vons trying to bring up the app, for starters. A nice lady passing by tried to help me. Then James helped me. First of all, I was on airplane mode.
And not enough memory. James got that all squared away and then "clipped" the "digital coupons" for me and told me to now use the cell phone number at the register as our club card number, not the landline number.
I went ahead and bought two ribeye roasts and saved over half!
I have not been over there for a quite a while so I was glad to have rediscovered Vons La Quinta - the produce department looked so beautiful, too (but I had to leave as soon as I bought the ribeye roasts and a few other odds and ends).
The Customer Service at Vons La Quinta is outstanding and five stars are especially for James Rich in the Meat Department.
[When I was leaving the store, I was going to commend James to the manager, Debbie, but everybody was extremely busy with Christmas grocery shoppers so I hope Debbie or Vons management people will look at their Yelp reviews. What happened to the bourbon shake?! It is the sole reason we kept returning! Jason's recommendation of the espresso martini was a near second, but bring back the bourbon shake, please.

This week's store weekly ad says, Limit 6 J4U coupon Swedka 1.75 ltr $11.99. I purchased two on April 19th. I attempted to buy 2 more on 4/20 (today) and I was charged $36 plus. I purchase two more, as I got paid today. I was charged the regular price of $16.99 twice. The manager Leslie said I had to buy 6. I informed her the ad said, 'LIMIT 6'. She walked away, then returned and said she was putting them back on the shelf, and not selling them to me. *NO EXPLANATION*.
I reported her to corporate, and have yet to receive an answer.
Check your receipt at this location for the advertised PRICE and J4U digital coupon to see if you actually got that price. This store will not honor your J4U price. I'm constantly OVERCHARGED at this location. The manager Leslie on duty was rude and treated me nasty. I will visit another location in the future. BEWARE OF OVERCHARGES at this location, that will not be honored.
