I am blown away by my incredibly positive experience at this clinic because this type of service isn't seen as much anymore! That is the reason for my review! When people go above and beyond I believe they should be recognized!
We have a lab and a toy Pom and both are having health issues so they have needed a lot of care. We switched to this vet when we moved across town and this clinic diagnosed my Pom w a condition our recent vet had missed on multiple exams! He had an enlarged heart which called for a great deal of meds, visits and attention/ recommendations on their end. We recently lost our Pom and to our surprise the clinic sent flowers and a greeting card personally signed by each of the staff. They also included a beautiful poem! I was so pleasantly surprised by their amazing care and kind gesture. Both our dogs see Dr. Gomez and I highly recommend him!!!

Edit Post: VCA office did reach out, they have been nothing but kind and have tried to accommodate the best they can. While they know the situation can't be fixed they have made efforts to make it better. I was issued a full refund and the office customized some memorial gifts for my girl. I appreciate their kindness and the ownership of the situation.

I am going to start by saying the actual vet was amazing. He was kind and compassionate during my dogs last quality of life appointment. He is the only reason I am giving any stars period. To explain the situation I brought my dog in for her quality of life appointment before making the difficult decision to put her down after almost 16 years together. Like I said before the vet came in to explain the process and shortly after a vet tech came in to collect payment. At that time he let us know that we had two options; one being a private cremation and one being a group cremation. He advised with the group cremation she will be laid on her own next to other pets and then the ashes will be returned to us. He showed us the different urn options and he showed which one comes complimentary with the process. I told him I had plans to make rings out of her and her sisters ashes so the complimentary one would be fine. He then took my payment, almost $500, and we signed the papers and he had me select the option for a complimentary paw print as well. The rest of the process went as smoothly as it could have gone. A week later I receive a call from the vet stating that her paw print was ready. When I called about the ashes they said they had no ashes for my dog. I was immediately in hysterics. My husband called, at which time he was told that only the private cremations get returned even though we had specifically been told the opposite by their staff. The apologized and attempted to reach out to the cremation company but to no avail they had already gotten rid of my dog. They advised that the vet tech who told me I would be getting her ashes back either way was new. They offered to provide me a plaque with my dogs dates of life and death as well as issue a partial refund. I normally do not write reviews but I am physically sickened and heart broken and would not wish this on anyone else's family member. I had walked with my sweet girl for almost 16 years this was a devastating error.

Awesome experience with this location this weekend! I've been taking my pup to Broadview Animal Clinic for a year and haven't been able to get an appt for her shots and a checkup without it being months out. I've tried to do walk-in visits several times and they are always at capacity and Saturday was my final straw. She needed her shots so she can continue going to doggy daycare and had a pretty nasty rash from allergies so it couldn't wait any longer.

After not being able to walk in at Broadview (arrived there at 7:30 to get on the waitlist and they were maxed out) I was beyond frustrated. My friend went with me and said we should look at VCA since they are located just blocks away and opened at 8. We decided to drive over and see if there was any way they could squeeze her in when they opened. I had my pup on her leash outside walking around when one of the staff members walked up and was getting ready to open up. I asked if they took walk ins and she said no but to give her a minute and she would run in and check if they had anything open. She ran in and within a few minutes came back out and said yes, they had an opening at 9 or 9:30 and said she would get me set up and it was such a relief!

We took off and grabbed some breakfast and headed back for the 9 am appt. I have nothing but awesome things to say about the staff here! They got Graycee weighed and in a room where they took my information and lovingly played with her during the process. I mentioned she had a rash and had been scratching her ears and that she was due for her shots. They called Broadview and got her records and said to hang tight and Dr Keith would be in to chat with us.

His "bedside manner" while listening to my concerns was super refreshing. He said her breed was prone to allergies and most likely would have to deal with pills or shots for the rest of her life. He asked if she had pet insurance and I said no and immediately recommended one he used for his dogs and said some of her preexisting conditions should be covered under the policy so I looked it up immediately. His passion for dogs was evident and Graycee absolutely adored him and the entire staff.

The awesome tech came back with a recommended plan for treatment and was more than accommodating with ideas or substitutes for some recommendations so i could afford to get what she needed taken care of. I honestly don't think I've ever been to a vets office who has done that! She knew some of the recommended items could be expensive upfront but we could try some other options and spread treatment plans out so I could also look into the insurance. Wow, I was so humbled and thankful for her compassion. She understood I didn't have an unlimited budget but knew I wanted the best for Graycee so figured out a solution. I feel horrible for not remembering her name as I type this out but she will remember me and Graycee and would love to say thank you again!

Graycee was a happy little girl when she left today and it was such a relief lifted off my shoulders knowing she got the attention she needed to stay healthy and she loved everyone in the office!

Thanks team for an amazing experience today and getting Graycee in last minute! You've got a new client for life and will sing your praises to every friend of mine! Plus everyone we meet at the dog park because she goes almost daily!

Had an appt on Saturday 10/15 for my dog to have a physical exam by Dr Ryan and vaccinations done. Monday, CA texted me to see how he was doing. He seemed ok at that point. Thursday I noticed his lymph nodes being very swollen. I texted them back to see if they had checked him thoroughly and was told they don't know but that the previous Dr should have but they will check the notes. Everything was going off of assumptions at this point, no one could give me a direct yes or no answer. I set up another appt for him to be checked on Tues 10/25. Took him in and felt very rushed to get him in and out. Recep told me to go over to weigh him and then took me to a room where she asked what was wrong, she stopped me and said i will let you tell that to the tech. The tech comes in and i tell him what is going on and he said he will have Dr Rickard look him over. Dr Rickard comes in rubs her hands up and down him really quick notices the same lymphnode issue. I bring it up to her and she said well i dont know because i wasn't the one to exam him last she would have to check notes. She then proceeds to go right into talking about he would need chemo and that it is very expensive though. Like i wouldn't pay to keep my dog alive. She keeps talking about the chemo and then but it may be $11000 - $15000. I advised her to do the biopsy. She brought the dog back, the tech came back to advise the cost of things and i never saw Dr Rickard again. For seeing my dog for 5 min it cost $100 plus the cost of the medication. Thursday i called to get the results of biopsy, I was told my dog has lymphoma. I didn't get a sorry, or sad to say. I got the talk about the treatments and how much it would cost though. So you can obviously tell that money is their #1 interest not the animal or how you care for your animal. I told her to stop explaining to me the cost and options because i didn't feel like she cared one bit. I told her that both her and Dr Ryan should be ashamed of themselves with their level of service and its obvious they only care about getting money. I do feel like Dr Ryans negligence during the exam led my dog to deteriorate faster than what could have been. My dog could have gotten started on treatment at least one week sooner than he did. But unfortunately, i had to put my dog down last night. Thanks Dr Ryan and Dr Rickard hope you are satisfied that you got paid since thats all you care about. While you are at it, take some empathy classes.

Staff constantly mocking my dog's aggression issues because they clearly aren't trained on different dog's personalities before the vet refused to see her! :) God forbid you don't have a perfect angel puppy you forked over a rent payment for! The vet said she "would never be cured" as if I'm looking to "cure" my dog's trauma, today, in an instant, rather than get her mandated vaccines, as was requested with the appointment. I didn't come here looking for a psychological assessment; we have her set up with that, thanks! Whatever, I'll take her back to her old vet in the Springs who had no trouble being KIND and RESPECTFUL to my dog's NEEDS.

It has taken me a while to write this but I would definitely recommend VCA SE to pet owners. I had an aggressive/overly protective dog and we found something that helped him calm before Dr G was able to work with him. We came up with a plan that both helped him to calm and also helped me to know they were taking such great care of him. While yes they made comments about his "personality" I took it as them just meeting him where he was and not trying to be rude about it. He was a very chatty dog and shared his displeasure of having to be at the vet. Ha When it was time to put him down they were so great with me and him. They let it be on my terms. He definitely showed his sassy side the day I took him in to put him down. They were good with him and I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else. Thank you for taking care of my fur baby. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss him. Thank you to all the people who had interaction with my Gary!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! From the moment I called to make an appt for my sick cat, VCA was incredibly compassionate and attentive. They were able to see him immediately even on a busy day, reassured/calmed my cat and me and treated him in an exemplary manner. They took time to answer my questions, provide options and work with me on treatment. Reasonable charges were fully discussed and VCA's diagnosis was spot on and my cat is now in recovery! I will definitely come back here for ALL of my pet needs.

My 15-year-old cat needed a lot of care towards the end of his life, care that I was unable to give because I had had recent surgery on my left hand and left arm. My cat died with kidney failure on November 22, 2019. (He was euthanized hopefully before suffering got too bad.) As the end approached, Dr. Games, Dr. Cohen and all the staff provided tender loving care not only to my beloved feline friend but to me as well. I can't thank these kind people enough.

My 15-year-old cat VCA treated with great tender loving care before he died with kidney failure.

They treated my Charlie very well and I cannot complain. Affordable prices for first time patient. Great doctors who care about their furry patients. Attentive staff who practices COVID protocols. Little late on the review but he sends kisses to the team at VCA Southeast.

This is one of the best places to take your pet! They were able to get me in last minute when I was worried about my pet eating something bad. They took great care of my pet and Dr. Games came out and spoke to me personally about what was going on and answered all of my questions, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be back here for my vet needs!

After losing our dog suddenly at home we brought her into this facility for cremation. When we arrived to pick her up they were unable to find her ashes. My wife had to call to follow up and she was placed on hold multiple times but finally was able to speak to a manager. The manager informed my wife they were unable to locate our dogs ashes after hours upon hours of trying. They were also certain the ashes were not at the facility. The manager was very professional, kind and extremely apologetic to my distraught wife. The employees at this facility also seemed nice and professional. The facilities also appeared clean. While I am certain many would have a good experience at the clinic we, however, did not as they were neglectful with something that meant a great deal to us.

"Inconvenience" is probably not the best word to describe your losing our dogs ashes.
