Valli-Hi Motel

Honestly, this place was totally fine. It's a very inexpensive motel that you stay in on the way into Mexico and it does just that. It's definitely no frills, but it's safe and clean enough. No bugs, no sketchiness.

It provides shampoo and soap and a hair dryer. There's no coffeemaker in the room, but there is a Starbucks down the street and a McDonald's across the parking lot.

Oddly, the shower was great? I know that's weird to say, but the heat and water pressure were what I wish most hotels and resorts had. Did not expect to find that here.

Originally, looked to be a clean, nice room. While watching TV, saw 3 roached climbing up the wall. Manager showed us to a second room. Within minutes, saw another roach. He gave us a refund with no issue and we moved down the street to the Best Western. He told us that all area motels were experiencing roaches because of the recent wet weather, but the Best Western assured us that that was not the case.

Visited the Valle-Hi Motel on 6.29 (got room 128 on the bottom floor) and my room was immaculate. If you just want a place to rest for the night this may be the place for you. My criteria on selecting this hotel was that it was clean, secure, and comfortable. Look folks it's not a 5-star hotel but for what I was looking for it definitely satisfied my needs and what I was looking in a hotel at the time I was searching for one in the area.

The fridge did not work. I lost $100 worth of food because they had no maintenance on the weekend. They made a maid move the fridge, I had to help her because it was heavy. The plug on the wall where they had the guest table did not work. The "Medium" size beds are very compact, the shower sprayed so hard it got the outside floor wet. Spoke with the manager who said that their maintenance guy recently passed and they hadn't inspected the upgrades. I told him how was it possible they are renting rooms that aren't ready before approving the job and scolded him for making a maid have to do heavy lifting. In the end he was going to give me like 20% discount of my bill which he never did, but I feel its my fault because you get what you paid for....

The wifi kept disconnecting
They don't have anyone who can take care of issues on site, the front desk girl is just there to check in people and pass you the remote control for the TV....

I gotta laugh at this experience, The only positive experience I have of this place was the maid who helped me find a working fridge. We lugged the bad one into another room and I carried the good one back to my room.

Front desk staff are rude and unprofessional from beginning to end and also this place has bed bugs

While sleeping I felt something crawl on me , I quickly got up ! It was a red bed bug ! I was disgusted ! I quickly turned on the lights and two other ones were by the bed . I was in room 121. I called the front desk at 1am , I got switch to another room, but I was not comfortable anymore . Beware !

By the way I did get bit a few times !

They must have new Management because the room we were assigned looked nothing like the pics in the previous reviews. In fact, the flooring was completely new and the bathroom was retiled and extremely clean even the AC unit looked brand new! When we arrived the place didn't look like much and the original Lady that checked me in wasn't the friendliest but we were literally only staying for a few hours as I was catching a flight in the morning.
For $123/night I thought this was very much a steal and would have stayed multiple days if needed. Only complaint was my phone service would cut out immediately as soon as I stepped in but when I stuck my arm our the door, all my text and internet would do through.

You get what you pay for. Low rates, close to boarder, right across street from super loud 5 freeway, no coffee, no closet for clothes, very cheap towels, noisy low quality bed. Right next door to McDonalds and a block away from Carl's and Cocos. Don't stay here if you want to stay in a decent place !!!

Do not recommend. This place has roaches. I booked the room at 3pm and didn't arrive 'til midnight and there was roaches on the counter in the drawers and on the table. I requested a reimbursement which was denied. Left immediately...negative points

Good location and the beds were really soft and comfortable room was newly remodeled. Definitely needs better WiFi.
