Having a lazy night, so we decided to order a rib eye steak, with Penne Alla Vodka and a cheesecake...
After a long day at work, this definitely hit there spot. The rib eye was nicely charred and tender. The roasted potatoes and asparagus was amazing. Nicely seasoned and as my husband satisfyingly put it "spot on".
We're long time patrons of Valentino's, and will continue to patronize!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Jan 30, 2012Previous reviewAmazing pizza . Hands down the best pizza I've every eaten . The customer service is just OK, but the pizza is great .

Valentino's used to be my favorite restaurant but they fell off. The chicken ala vodka slice is much smaller than it used to be and it doesn't even have much chicken.
The garlic knots were not even hot the pepperoni slice didn't have pepperoni was just ok.
I don't think I'd be going back to Valentino's

Has it already been a year since my last visit?! Flew into town town late tonight and my aunt already had a whole cheese pie from Valentinos waiting for me. Love that she knows how much I love pizza. Not going to lie, my first few visits here were just alright so I wasn't expecting to be wowed. At this hour though, this certainly will do! Threw a few slices in a pan to reheat and I was pleasantly surprised. It was everything I hoped for in a NY pizza. Thin and crisp but not hard, crunchy or too fluffy. I remembered their dough being too fluffy for my taste, but this time it was perfect. Their sauce is good, not too acidic and slightly sweet and a good amount of cheese. Happy camper tonight!
Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jan 19, 2023Previous reviewThey've been around for quite some time. This review is based solely on the pizza as I have not tried any other dishes. I was underwhelmed the first time I ordered a pie here. Revisited this year as they are super close to my aunts crib. I will likely revisit due to the proximity but can honestly say it wouldn't be my first choice. They have a fluffier type of dough. It is very soft and pillowy and has zero crunch. It's thicker than a typical NY pizza. Both times, it almost tasted undercooked, but didn't really crisp up when reheating it either. There's certainly people who would prefer what I described above, but not me. Another thing I noticed is their sauce and crust was overly sweet. The pie I ordered is listed on the menu as "Grandma Pie (round)" but when I ordered that, the lady corrected me, "You mean a Margherita pizza? with an almost wtf tone. Then perhaps update your menu?

I was in one of my Italian food moods and saw the good reviews so decided to give 'em a try for take out.
The Chicken Parm was really good, as was the Chicken Roll. Everything was fresh and portions were good.
This is a sit down spot, so I may definitely dine in here at some point and provide an updated review.Helpful 13Thanks 2Love this 12Oh no 0 - Sep 10, 2023Updated review8 check-ins
The food's still rocking today. Nice and quiet restaurant. There is a pizza station in front and a restaurant in the back. My mother-in-law loves Eggplant Parmigiana from here. I love pasta with clams. I also love how they prepare spinach and broccoli rabe in the pasta with garlic and oil. That's one of my lunch favorites. However, the pasta with clams is unbeatable. The lunch pizza was good because it's a thin-crust pizza, which I like. They know how to make Angel hair with clam sauce the best for me and Hubby! Besides the whole clams, they added pieces of clams too, which makes it flavorful with that juice clam sauce. Yummy! The waiter and waitress working here are awesome too. Thanks!

They listened when I said I want it spicy. They make a spicy clam sauce gourmet style, so delicious! Another dish I like from this place is their fish dishes. If you order fish from here, maybe you want to order sauce on the side. I always prefer sauce on the side because I feel they tend to put some extra sauce on top of the fish. Pizza from this place is not bad. My husband's family is Valentino's regular customers. I try it sometimes. Heard it's been in business for a long time. Must be good!

Valentinos has a variety of different slices. The pizza is pretty good and so are the garlic knots and chicken rolls. I wouldn't recommend the beef patties because they put them in the microwave and then in the oven so they're soft, not crunchy.

Is a neighborhood staple of great Sicilian food... I went there as a child of 10 and now in their slightly different location, but not too far away as an adult of 58 to get food for my parents.

I must start off as the food here is banging. When I lived in this area this was my go to pizza place. However, this review is mainly on service. Yesterday, I arrived and saw it was a bit busy. Normally, you order the pizza where the person is near the oven, taking orders. I placed my order for two slices. It was boxed right away no issues. As I am ready to pay and leave, the lady at the cash register is like im busy with this person. There was more then enough staff helping everyone. No one else at the cash register. I ask, her where are you suppose to order, she is like with this guy here next to her and you pay here. Ok?? Im like why didn't you tell the guy ordering with you to order with him. No response, still not taking my money. I almost left but I was hungry lol. Paid and left! Probably won't be back here for awhile. Lady had one job to take money after orders.
Recommendation to owner: maybe put a sign "order here" and "pay here"
I saw some customers confused where to order and where to pay.
So customers and staff know.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 2
