I normally use a postal annex unit at a gas station near where I work, which has convenient hours (open until 6:30 most days), and is lightly trafficked. Recently though, I had to ship a package to a US military address, which I'd never done before. When I presented the package to the employee at the postal annex, they had no idea what to do with it, and their system seemed ill-equipped to handle such a case. As it was after 5pm, I figured I was out of luck that day, until a quick search pointed out this Post Office near PDX, that was open until 7pm. I quickly rushed over to ship it off!

There was no line inside, and as I explained the situation to the lone teller, she rolled her eyes amusingly, in mock exasperation of the poser tellers at the gas station. Funnily enough, even she had difficultly processing the correct address, although she said that was not unusual for military addresses. She eventually processed it through, jokingly declaring "let the military figure it out!" As all the proper forms were filled out, I'm sure things will be just fine.

Before last week, I had no idea this Post Office location was here, but it has quickly become a regular stop, both for its convenience, extended hours, and pleasant, if snarky, staff. I've read that previously, their closing time was even later than 7pm, so if things ever revert back to pre-COVID hours, I guarantee this will become my #1 postal location.

I drove to the USPS at the Portland airport today, and saw several signs that said it was closed?!!
I love this Post Office, and it's close to where I live. It was always open until 7:00 or 8:00, so if I needed to make sure something got out on a certain date, I would go there.
Is the closure permanent? I hope not!

Hello! I have a PO Box at the Airport PostOffice.... They moved about 6 months ago, waiting for the opening of the NEW post office on NE Glen WIding Drive. I had expected them to open the new post office, and move the Post Office Boxes by now....
It is now July, 2023.... Question: Does anyone know when the NEW NE Glen WIding Drive will be open for accessing PO Boxes?
      Thanks in advance!! :)

I used to own/operate a trucking company near the Portland Airport and had a PO Box here at this location so I was in and out of here 5-6 days per week.

This airport gets busy, sometimes VERY busy, with lines out the door. I have always found this staff to be genuine and helpful, swift, detailed and professional while doing the best they can to accommodate everyone.

They are open later than nearly every other Post Office in the area and you could even handle business son a Sunday for a while.

do they sometimes have 12 person at the counter, sure but that is not a big deal. Everyone needs to take a break sometime so yeah - it happens. Whoopie do.

Solid P.O. location and I never left unhappy.

Garbage. The USPS used to be a jewel in the crown of U.S. infrastructure and federal agencies. Now it's run by someone trying to demolish it to privatize the entire thing (DeJoy), everything suddenly costs a LOT more, and packages go missing ALL the time now. If you're a small business owner and you send out a lot of small packages, you can't afford to have, say, 10% of them be delayed--and some of those never arrive at all! So why choose the USPS? There's basically no reason to anymore. I just drove to three different post offices at 9pm trying to drop off some small packages. All of the locations were fully locked, none of them had drop boxes. There's NO EXCUSE FOR THAT. Each of them had cheaply printed and barely legible notes on the door, but none of the notes explained anything at all useful. Once upon a time, I was a staunch defender of the USPS: I had an "I support the USPS" sticker on my door and everything. But this has gone way, way too far. I refuse to pay through the nose for drastically reduced and austerity-limited services, lost packages, grouchy employees, grubby lobbies, bright fluorescent lights, corporate drone manager-types, and ZERO customer support to speak of. I'm done.

Sigh... I kept wanting to leave a great review for this post office. But after dealing with them through Christmas, I just can't do it.

It's actually frustrated me so much that I finally made the next step in my business and figured out online labels for shipping. So now I just walk in and drop it in the box (or schedule a pick up if I don't have time to go in).

Chris who works here is amazing. She is always so helpful and kind and patient and I would get so excited whenever I would get her as my person to check me out.

Everyone else just always seems miserable, doesn't seem to care when there are lines, some of the workers just disappear into the backroom to do other things while there's a line of customers with only one person checking them out.

At Christmas time the line took 45 mins at least to get through. What did it for me was when a customer came into the lobby to grab a box and they got yelled at by the staff because they were over the 6 people in the lobby limit. They told them they have to wait in line like everyone else. (for 45 mins?!?? come onnnnn).

They also tend to be out of stamps here, flag stamps, monthly/seasonal stamps/international stamps. And all you get are the stamps no one wants. So that's a little frustrating. Not the end of the world, but also not helpful for a post office to be out of stamps.

I think there's a lot of room for improvement here. I just don't even know where they would start.

This is a major complaint for the clerk who wears the name tag "Frankie ". This man is so rude and very unprofessional. He should definitely be fired. This location closes at 7 PM. Many have traveled many miles just to get here due to their late hours. We don't know there lack of staffing in advance and should no be penalized by not getting assistance. This typically only happens when Frankie is on duty. All others will assist as long as you were there before 7 o'clock. I go to this post office frequently. I'm typically there 20 minutes before 7.They typically have two clerks working in the evening. If you're not in that second entry door by seven they won't assist you. They will only let so many in that door at a time due to Covid-19. I got in through the 2nd door 3 minutes before 7pm. The guy behind me came walking through seconds later and Frankie shouted "we're closed". Technically it was not 7 yet. That man had waited just as long as I did to get that close and then be turned away due to Frankie being an ASS. The guy came in anyway and Frankie refused to give him the package he came to pick up.

When I got up to the window I decided to voice my concern about the way he treats people every night, is so unfair. Others, such as I , get there early enough, but due to their lack of speed and efficiency we don't get the proper care and respect we deserve! Frankie literally chewed me out in a very loud tone. He kept talking back to me as If "I" did something wrong. It was very embarrassing. He also pushed my package back at me and also threaten not to take it. All because I spoke out and confronted him. His reply was - He had been there 12 hours. I replied-"So what !!!" Your hired to do a job, so do it. I was so fed up by this point by all of the disrespect. I stated to him "when your job is DONE then you go home. Don't blame the customer who gets there in time for your lack of un-happiness in what career you chose. I was able to see first hand what going postal meant he really meant. For those that have come in contact with Frankie, please do your due diligence and file a complaint against him we don't deserve to be treated like this !!!

Wish this location still sent mail out at 10pm. They've adjusted their now, last call is approximately 7pm. They're usually very quick and the customer service is usually spot on. The workers do sometimes get upset when people try and take the stack of boxes or they put the wrong things in the provided packaging but I suppose that's their job. I think they probably get a little tired of baby sitting people. All in all this is a great location and it's a sorting station so your mail will save a day or two in transport as it's already at the sorting location!!

I arrived at the Post Office before 7 o'clock and was standing in line The clerk lock the door at 7 o'clock instead were not helping anybody else very rudely he then was complaining to another client in line about the he didn't want to help me he wasn't going to do anything for me. She spoke up in inside he was being very rude in he started screaming at her. This man was screaming at a woman at the top of his lungs and then when another customer stood up for her he yelled him too. The most unprofessional Transaction I've ever seen at the Post Office the man should be fired he should not be interacting with customers it was terrible
