Dreadful customer service by office administrative staff. I called to move my appointment due to worsening conditions and was treated very poorly. Reluctantly a new appointment was made for me and thankfully my MD refereed me to a new practice and doctor so that I could cancel further treatment at this one.

My husband and I were patients for 33+ years of Dr. William E. Deutsch, M.D. He was an outstanding opthalmologist, accomplished, caring, down-to-earth - absolutely wonderful. I didn't think I'd ever trust my eyes to anyone else. Sadly, he passed away and we had no choice. Dr. Vanee Virasch is the associate who cares for our eyes now. She is terrific, giving expert, professional, and personable care. We have trusted her to the extent that she performed surgery on one of my husband's eyes and both of mine. There are now three offices and we've seen her at all three. We will remain her patients.

Dr Grostern and all the staff at the Skokie office are amazing! Dr. Grostern is so knowledgeable, and I trust him completely. Everyone is really friendly there. I definitely recommend this office and Dr. Grostern!

Dr. Anjali Tannan and her staff were absolutely unprofessional and uncaring to their patients. I went in for a full eye exam prior to a brain MRI. I had been suffering from severe migraines and wanted to check everything out prior to seeing a specialist. To my dismay and utter excruciating experience, I am appalled that this office is associated any way to Northshore. The technician who initially checked me in had me wait 20 min prior to the primary routine eye exam. She then dilated my eyes for the doctor and left me in a very bright room for 45 min alone. This exacerbated a full on migraine with symptoms (n/v). I walked out twice asking for assistance and didn't receive any information besides "the doctor is with another patient". I was in tears, nauseous, and holding my head, by the time the Anjali Tannan came into the room. I asked if this was standard care since a very bright lit room, with dilated eyes, for a patient complaining of migraines seemed blatantly inappropriate and cruel. She seemed to have very little empathy to my situation. I have been a medical professional for years, and I am in utter shock. Please think again about using this office.

I've been a client of Dr. Robert Stein for many many years. I've seen him at the Skokie Blvd. location and at the Harrison St. location. Glaucoma runs in my family and so it's extremely important to monitor my situation. Dr. Stein is extremely experienced, professional and a great listener. No matter how busy his day or his office, I never feel rushed--I always feel I have his full attention and can ask any questions. We discuss what's going on and what possible avenues I have to choose from regarding medication or treatment. He takes into account whatever personal or financial situation I have going on at the time in making the best plan for my care. I always find the staff to be friendly and attentive and the offices clean and calm. If you have any concerns about your vision, do yourself a favor and see Dr. Stein.

I went here as an emergency patient once and was amazed with their great service. I was able to get an appointment almost immediately, even though I was not a previous patient. The doctor was really friendly and really knowledgeable. The whole staff was pleasant. I really liked the professionalism of this doctor and his staff and willl go here again!
