Went on a motorcycle ride to Downieville and we chose Two Rivers Cafe for lunch.
Love the walk up and order especially when you have big groups.
Ordered a bacon Cheeseburger and fries and let me tell you that was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time.
Service was fast and friendly. Restaurant was clean and plenty of room to sit inside or outside if you choose.
And you really can't pick better views.
Will for sure be stopping here again, and you should too!

In recent years this spot has gotten very good! They have a nice selection of beer-- I recommend the pineapple cider for a light refreshing drink. The salads are always giant and loaded with fresh toppings. The pizza has a great crust, but is usually a little dry and bland, though still good. I substitute a garden burger for the burger items and have never been disappointed-- the flavors of the sauces and toppings are always great and the fries are fresh and flavorful as well.

I am disappointed that their sign advertises pasta but they do not serve any. The bathroom is kind of grimy and the whole interior/ambiance leaves a little to be desired in my opinion-- it's very 'sports-bar' so maybe just a matter of personal taste.

However, all-around great food and a go-to spot for my family.

Stopped here for dinner tonight, and I sure wasn't impressed. I ordered a pepperoni and mushroom calzone, and it was incredibly greasy and rich. The place doesn't look very clean. The floor hadn't been swept in a while, and there were flies everywhere--I'm sure due to the fact that both doors were open without screens, but still... It seems like a popular place, but I can't recommend it.

Stopped in on 7-29-23, first time in Downieville. Placed an order at the counter and then told it was cash only. Nobody carries cash anymore but you would think that the person taking our order would suggest going to the ATM across the street? Nope. Poor training. Well, they lost a $40 sale on us since we ate elsewhere.

This was great find in the Lost Sierra's. A buddy and i stopped here for a late lunch after a few hours on our motorcycles. It was pretty quiet for a Friday, but we gave it a try.

As I walked in, the specials board caught my eye. A chicken sandwich was advertised with a side of fries. It sounded good and I ordered it. We took a seat on the deck, overlooking the Yuba river.

The sandwich arrived and was quite impressive. Piled high with chicken, veggies and cheese. It was super flavorful and filling.

I didn't partake in the adult beverages, but did see a short, but well curated craft beer list.

Finding a good dinner on a Sunday evening in August in Downieville is difficult; if not impossible. Two Rivers was the only place open. We ordered pizza and drinks. The food drinks were good, but the pizza was not. The crust was okay, but the toppings weren't; boring, tasteless cheese and tired vegetables. We will return to Downieville, but not to Two Rivers.

This place was awesome. Great pizza and beer on tap. Spectacular view from the back deck which allows pets. They made sure my dog had water in the bowl , and even replaced a spilled beer when the dog knocked it over! Service was friendly. Defiantly not the place for a fancy dinner, but if you are riding the trails or going out to the river for the day it's a must stop.

The first time we ate at this place was back in February, and the food was so good that we made it a point to go here again this past weekend. We had burgers for lunch here on Friday, and had pizza on Saturday night. Both were awesome. We highly recommend this place to anyone traveling through the area.

I had dinner at Two Rivers Cafe because they were the only restaurant open in Downieville at seven o'clock on a Wednesday. The crust was a little burnt, the cheese was a little sparse and there was not a lot meat on the pizza. It was however, loaded with Jalapenos. They were thick cuts and included the seeds, making the pizza incredibly hot. I could not take a bite without following it with a drink from my sangria to cool my mouth. The next morning my stomach was not happy with me for eating such a spicy pizza. The pizza was not a bad pizza, just not a good pizza. In hindsight, I would have ordered a different pizza.

I can't say I was impressed other then being fortunate to have very nice weather and being able to sit out back and listen to the river as we ate lunch. That was what saved this form one star...

We ordered and the young lady taking our order seemed very much not interested in us being there, as if we were an inconvenience to her despite being the only other couple there at the time. I don't normally mention things like that because people have bad days or movement's and it's not my place to make it worse. However, I made a comment to my girlfriend of "She doesn't seem to be having a good day, I hope it get's better for her!"

Well, my gf(who had been there the day before with another group we ride with) replied- "Yeah, she was like that yesterday too." Well, I hope her day or whatever is bringing her down does get better.

We ordered the club sammich and were hopeful in it being good. It was decent at best. Very boing. So much so it does not stand out at all. The fries were decent as well.

I'd go back because it is an amazing ride on the Harley and we typically need to eat lunch and it seems to be one of a few options in Downieville. And my hope is that it was just a bad weekend for the lady.
