Toys R Us

This store's going out of business sale is going on as of this writing. I don't recall the exact closing date, but I think the employee that checked me out said their last day will be June 28, 2018. (Call the store for verification.)

Most items are picked over, but some big ticket toys like hover boards, battery powered toddler cars, etc are still available for 50-60% off. That deal will probably be even better by next week.

I picked up some cute toddler clothes for my twin goddaughters with a 70% discount! I do love deals. Kids shoes have pretty much been wiped out, but there are also still some good toys for babies to 4T --- like the Baby Einstein toy line.

I also saw a few bikes, kids sports equipment, party supplies, board games,......

Store fixtures are also on sale, but prices were not that great to me.

I am sorry to see Toys R Us going out of business. As a kid, they were a store I would simply get lost in, both mentally & physically :-D

I want to give props and a big thank you to Daniel, a sweet employee that helped me yesterday at toys r us! He went ABOVE and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of and I was very satisfied! I was planning on purchasing a playset that they were suppose to have in stock but they did not and he was amazing in helping me get the one I wanted and still be able to use my coupon! He worked so hard and diligent insuring that I saved the money I expected to save and that I received what I was expecting to receive. I appreciate everything, Daniel! Thank you for caring about your job! Keep up the great customer service!!

To the manager on duty, I hope you show a little more respect to your employees, they are trying very hard to keep everyone happy and your poor attitude is not impressive.

What happened at this Toys R Us location?

Maybe the area makes this location busy then others, or maybe it's because it's an older location... I don't know.

But (during the day that I was there), this place was very lax in the care of their store.

One thing I noticed there was a huge sticky soda spill on the floor that seemed to had been ignored for quite a while (since you could see that a multitude of the wheel marks that had gone through it).

And there was a lot of clearance (and some regular merchandise) that did not have any prices marked on the packaging or shelves.

But keep in mind that I don't frequent this Toys R Us, so maybe it was just a bad day when I was there.

Customer service has proved to be not a priority to this company. Went in looking for a play ground set. Saw one and for free shipping and assembly and on top of that cashier said if I opened a cc I would save 15% and on top of that 20% coupon. So I took it. She was a great help! She rang me up then she needed help with doing the shipping and assembly so she called for help. Well when the lady came she had trouble for over 15 mins looking for the codes for the shipping and delivery. First she said oh we don't have it here and it won't be free shipping. So I told her well ok if we can pick it up from here and not pay we can do that. So she goes back working on computer and I walk away cause she's taking awhile. Come back and she's like out its discontinued its probably on recall you probably wouldn't want that anyway.
Now I am a little upset. So I was like well what can you do spent all this time here and opened up a cc. She tells me oh ill just refund you and you can call to cancel it. I even told her you can't just open up cc and cancel them it ruins your credit. I asked well can you work out something with the other play grounds and she said no.
I asked to speak to manager and she said she was the manager. Couldn't get any where so I said refund it and left.

Only to happen to be shopping online still looking for swing set and there you see the swing set still available at toysrus.com
I even called to double check asked if it was available and not on recall!! Made a complaint and next day someone from location called me back. Oh she says I need to ask what was said and after I told her. She says well I need to speak to her first! After all that she calls back says the girl doesn't remember saying it was on recall.. N it was available but I have to pay shipping cause it no longer got shipped to the store.
I told her no that wasnt the deal and I wasn't going to pay 200 for shipping. Asked if she can work something out. She said let me see what other play sets I can find and ill call you back... So I waited and waited thinkin well maybe she got busy.. Hmm a week later and no call.

Wow! I have never been in a store with salespeople who knew less about the products a store sells than this Toys R Us. Wanted a very large item that any person that worked there should have known whether they had or not. Outdoor playhouse. We finally found someone that told us a swirling display had pictures. You pull the price card and bring it up to pay. 1/2 if the items were out of the card to pay from so we left. Just bought a playhouse at Walmart.

This location is apparently a Toys R Us/Babies R Us combo store. Really, it's just a regular Toys R Us with a small section in the back that is for Babies R Us products. You can tell from the parking lot that this is an older store. The inside was pretty messy, and I was not in during peak shopping hours, so I can only imagine what it is like on weekends or near the holidays. I give the employees credit for being nice and offering to help me, but unfortunately they lack quite a few items that some of their sister stores carry. I was specifically looking for diaper pail refills and assumed they would have it since I bought my diaper pail from them at another location. No luck. They only carried one or two brands of each item.

The toy selection looked ok, but for baby gear and products this probably isn't the best location to go to.

Its too bad I even have to give this location a single star. Everytime ive ever been there they only have one lane open and nothing is ever priced right. Today is the day after Christmas and I figured theyv would have more than one lane open... boy was I wrong. Only lane open while the manager and other workers stand around doing absolutely nothing. Pathetic. My husband and I swore we would never go back to this location but had no choice today since my daughter received a gift card.

Ok, so this is written by a captive audience, after all this is the only Toys R Us around here without going to Dallas or Arlington but this store is horrible. It's dirty, the employees are anything but pleasant and my biggest problem is that the shopping carts are only meant for one kid. You may laugh at that being a legitimate problem. However I have twin toddlers and this is a toy store and baby clothes store, so there's probably a good chance that families will come in here. Get it together or close down.

This store isn't in the best area. It's old and it shows. There is a brand new trampoline park next door, so maybe that will draw some business? I don't come here often, but when I do I've found that most items carried here I can also find at my local Target in the toy section. I like the novelty of a toy store, but this one really needs a new coat of paint, bleach and happy staff!

I see why they struggle. narrow lanes. kinda grimy. only 3 cashiers during the afternoon shopping rush 12 days before christmas?! still rooting for this chain but i can also see why they are losing the battle.
