Town and Country was one of the few pet hospitals that was able to see my dog the same day. I am so grateful to the staff!
The inside of the office is so clean - even more nice than those brand new urgent care buildings you see!
I can't say enough positive things about both Chelsea and Dr. Strittmatter. They handled my dog with care and even though I wasn't back there to see the exam and tests I knew that my dog was in good hands. I especially appreciated the vet for answering all my questions.
My puppy was in and out in just over an hour- the waiting:checkin:exam:answering questions:bloodwork:and checking out.
I didn't pay a huge amount- for the checkup and bloodwork it was 185$ which I thought was reasonable.
Also bonus- they have a cute office kitty! Which I love!
I highly recommend this pet hospital!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gena W.Arlington, VA042Dec 1, 2021
I called and spoke with Brenna to get a dental estimate. She said she would email it to me and asked for my email. I followed up two days later because I hadn't received the email and she said the doctor had been busy and maybe I should look elsewhere. All I asked for was an estimate so obviously their customer service is poor and they aren't looking for business.

We started our journey a few weeks back with Dr. Strittmatter and staff seeking advice and care for our two pregnant mini cows. This is our first experience with our mini cows calving so we had done much research and set out to find a quality vet that was near our property. Town & Country had great reviews so we called and had several conversations with staff about care and necessary setup for delivery. We took our cows in for an exam and all was going well. At the exam and prior to we had informed them that we didn't have a squeeze shoot and they said that we can't do a home visit for an exam without a squeeze shoot, but if it's an emergency we can come. This led us to believe that we in fact did not need a squeeze shoot for delivery. Last week our smallest cow started to calf and hadn't progressed after 2 hours so we immediately contacted the clinic where the front desk refused to inform the vet to come and make an emergency house call and wanted us to try to load a laboring momma into a trailer that we needed to find and rent! We couldn't even get our sweet girl off the floor much less load her onto a trailer to travel any distance and then unload her for the comfort of the vet. Now let me be clear, this may sound as if we were unprepared, but we chose not to get a squeeze shoot or a trailer as the staff at the clinic assured us that they would come to deliver in an emergency event without any of those items, and led us to believe that the squeeze shoot was only needed for an exam. If the staff had been very clear about what the doctor would and wouldn't do then we most definitely would've gotten a squeeze shoot and trailer!! Needless to say our baby calf didn't make it and died during delivery. We almost lost the momma too. We had to scramble and luckily found a vet who was available to come. He worked tirelessly to get the baby out and save the momma. We were absolutely devastated to lose a calf that we consider part of our family. We feel that the calf's death could've been avoided had Dr. Strittmatter and staff been clear about their specific requirements!! After a week of trying to contact Dr. Strittmatter to get clarification on what they do and don't provide in terms of care and house calls, we were met with a snarky attitude and a downright asshole! Dr. strittmatter wouldn't allow us to speak while on the call and continued to cut us off and not allow us to get any clarification on where the breakdown was on their part. He informed us that he has a bad back and basically will not deliver without a squeeze shoot. Again, this would've been great to know prior so that we could've been prepared for Strittmatter's specific needs and requirements. The conversation was very short as Strittmatter became increasingly rude and aggressive in his tone and without us getting a word in edge wise, he said, "do you feel better about yourself? Does this make you feel better? Never call here again!" and hung up the phone. Unbelievable!!! We did not call to have an argument nor were we aggressive and rude like Dr. Strittmatter was to us. We fully understand our part in the death of our calf, but feel that had Strittmatter and his staff been very clear about their specific requirements for delivery, then we would've ensured that we had everything ready to go.
I would highly recommend going elsewhere for any type of animal care!
Please remember that we are brand new at labor and delivery of a mini cow and had had several phone conversations and a clinic visit in order to seek as much knowledge and advice in order to be prepared for this event. Town & Country's staff bragged about their great knowledge and handling of calving as they told us many times that they deliver over 100 head of cattle per year, so understandably we trusted and believed what they told us, which was that we only needed a squeeze shoot to do an exam not to deliver a calf!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Leah A.Dallas, TX06Jan 18, 2021
I usually have a somewhat difficult time trusting vets just because I've experienced some sketchy ones. Town and Country was recommended to me by a friend because I just moved to town and I honestly think this is the best vet I've ever been to! I would recommend this vet to anyone in the area. They take the time to discuss anything and everything you care to talk about regarding your pet.

Dear Town and Country, You canceled me as a client because I went to a specialist? wow the reason I went to the specialist is because you did not take Care Credit, and when you have a dog that needs a pacemaker that costs 6-7 thousand upfront and she also has cancer which has been treated from Doctor Dawson ( the Specialist) for the last 7 years and the cost to take off cancer is around 5 k! total about 12-15K I can put it on Care Credit.(Not upfront cash ) I'm trying to save money with what services you could performed because I have two other dogs and did not have ex upfront money, it had NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU NOT ABLE TO DO THE JOB.Instead of calling me,and talking with me like adult, you come out to say you will not treat my dogs or assisting me in the matter ? or asking me why I took them to VCA This is ridiculous and unprofessional.Ivan gained 10 pounds and skin got 10 times worse after he got fixed. In which I was told his skin would clear-up? This is why I called yesterday to set an appointment until this, I had two appointment canceled on me from Town and Country and treated very unfair.

This is a great animal hospital! Clean, great staff, professional and reasonable prices on meds and services. I couldn't ask for more. I moved from Aubrey to McKinney and after meeting a vet out here, I will be making the drive back to Aubrey for our veterinary needs.

I drive somewhat out of my way to take my pets to Dr. Strittmatter and crew. The staff are all friendly, informative and go out of their way to help. Dr. Strittmatter is knowledgeable, skilled, compassionate and honest. I can't recommend enough!

My best friend Lady was run over by an ATV and dislocated her hip which required surgery. Brandi, Dr. Strittmatter and staff were wonderful. They were very busy but made time to get Lady in and repair her hip. They also took care of her post-op so I could attend my grandfather's funeral. The knowledge and high level of care she received is second to none. I recommend if you need a vet for animals large or small in the Denton area see the staff at Town & Country.

The best vet my dogs have ever had. Dr. Stritmatter is a gentleman and a scholar. The staff is awesome, super attentive and nice. Figured out my dog's thyroid condition when every other vet missed it.

Incredibly impressed! Services & meds prices were great and very professional and kind. No complaints of any kind :)
The receptionist gave a very detailed a la carte phone estimate & was very helpful answering all questions. My cat is terrified of the car/crate/closed places...but he was PERFECTLY & instantly calm with the Dr & the tech. They did the exam inside the crate (took top off) to keep him calm; didn't do any unnecessary tests & was overall a great xperience & better than average prices.
The Dr gave me all my options & advice on what he would do if it was his cat. They were professional & kind. The meds we went home with to make him more comfortable (antibiotics, pain pills & steroids) were the same price @ Petmeds.com---NO high markup like most vets & I didn't have to ask for a price match. They even credited me for the unused meds.
Sadly I had to put my sweet 14yr old sick cat down, but the staff & Dr. were so sweet & unrushed. They have a private room for this.
I will definitely take my future pets here, I highly recommend.
Bonus, the drive there is studded with horse farms & lakes--beautiful & serene.
Thank you guys--you're the best!
