Fun place on the Broadway Honky Tonk Walk. You can't miss it it is very purple. Ha! It is one of the originals and I love old buildings. Worth going in for the historical value alone and the famous picture wall.
The place has three levels. It is narrow so watch your step on the stairs. We had so much fun here chatting with people, singing, and table dancing. ( not that kind, ha) Heads up, It is small on each floor and seating is limited. We went on a Tuesday afternoon and had to share a table. I can only imagine how packed in like sardines it must get on the weekends or later nights.
We did not get food but we did get drinks. They are pricey. However, it seemed all alcohol is in Nashville and a high alcohol tax rate. The drink was small for the price. It was delish though a beach type of drink. The name escapes me.
The bartender was aggressive and was not very friendly though. That was weird since everyone we met on our trip was a pure delight. The musicians made up for it though and even played a song I requested. We dislike country music in general so it is nice to have different genres of music in one bar and bands that get that and mcx it up. One can't deny a fiddfle player is an awesome thing to observe no matter what genre of music you are into and he was great. We missed the rooftop bar. I think it might have been closed when we went. Next time we will check that out
All in all we had a great time. We feel it is worth a look. All the Hony Tonks are free if no ticketed event is going on, so what do you have to lose?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 1, 2024
Tooties Orchid Lounge was one of my must-try places list. It was one of the most crowded places on a cold Sunday while the NFL conference championships was going on tv. The main floor was the most entertainment happening. The band was amazing and they were able to keep the energy up during our visit. Unfortunately, I am not able to say the same thing for the second and the top floors. They were still doing their best, however having a lack of customers they cannot really do much.
As we were there we also tried their food along with a couple of Nashville bottled beers. I found the bottled beer is a little expensive. In the end, they were local beer and not even draft. But, anyway, with the music and ambiance we didn't mind too much. As for the food we got Southern Fried Pickles, Spicy Cheese Curds, and Cheeseburger (which was supposed to be Philly Cheese Steak. However, with the loud music the server didn't hear us well. It wasn't a biggie.)
I looooooved fried pickles and cheese curds. I could say the cheese curds was the best so far I have tried, including the places in Milwaukee, WI.
This spot was definitely one of my favorites. The music, vibe and the food are amazing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 17, 20241 check-in
Tootsies Orchid Lounge is a solid honky tonk in a central part on Broadway. Yes, the prices are obviously going to be inflated. You're paying for the location, the live music, and the history. The walls are covered with American memorabilia and the drinks will get you where you're trying to be (mental state). The band playing when I was there was pumping out hit after hit of country songs, old and new. It's hard to miss Tootsies since it's so central and it's painted purple!

Tootsies is famous. It's a staple place to go when you visit Nashville and everyone is going to recommend it to you that you stop in. I'm glad we listened!
It's older, it's smaller, it's not as fancy, but the music was some of the best. It is larger than it appears, it's three stories and the third floor is the largest and most expansive with a bar on each floor and room to spread out on floors 2-3. The first floor is very cramped and crowded with a small bar and some bar tables against the far wall.
We sat here for a long while and listened to a great band that was playing anything you wanted to hear with two guitarists, a drummer, a lead singer, and a fiddle player. OK, if you have a fiddle player you know things are gonna be good. We listened to some Shania Twain, Garth Brooks, Charlie Daniels Band, etc. Bring it on!
The bands on the other floors had various other themes, like rock and new age. I'll stick to the country!Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - Mar 3, 20241 check-in
I had to stop in here to say I went. I'm currently not drinking alcohol, and they only had water as a non alcohol option. We went at about 10am and watched 2 love songs and then departed. Lots of history here and it's a neat place to see.

Music and bar were a fun way to kick off our Nashville trip. Love the purple vibes. We didn't eat but, the staff was welcoming and friendly. Service was pretty quick, it was not just since it was early afternoon.

great music venue and historical in the fact that it is one of the original bars in Nashville. Unfortunate for us is that the barmaid on the first floor, brown hair and glasses .was the rudest and most disrespectful person we encountered in the whole state of Tennessee. This person needs a good psychotherapist!

A must visit bar in Broadway. How amazing to sit in a place that has seen so many great talents come to life! Music was definitely top tier really enjoyed it. Drinks definitely seemed a little pricey but that seems to just be a Nashville thing. Stick to your bottled beers and you'll be golden!

Classic Nashville Honky-tonk! Been around since 1960! Lots of famous visitors. Movies filmed here. On our Las visit to Nashville, we didn't have time to visit,so made it a priority a couple of weeks ago. It was everything we expected. Great, fun live music. Great drinks. Great service. Nashville bars are some of the best in the country. Always busy, always fun. Albeit, drinks are expensive. The experience is worth the few extra dollars. Tip the bands! Tip your servers. Have a wonderful time! Tootsies is a must visit when in Nashville.
