So we went to Tony P's after a lot of hoopla around their origin story and their hype about being the best pie on the boards. As a disclaimer my family are devout Manco & Manco fans. This place supposedly would blow the doors off M & M do to their quality ingredients. Me did the exact comparison with the basic cheese pizza and let me clear up any doubts - it was no where near as Good tasting as the classic Manco. (I will concede perhaps their ingredients are better but their craft is not). My recommendation is to keep walking down the boards. Just Sayin'

Awesome Pizza!
Stopped here when I was down the shore and I am happy we stopped here for lunch rather than anywhere else.
We ordered 2 large pizza pies, fries, onion rings and a few soft drinks. The food tasted incredible and prob was the best pizza Ive had down on the boardwalk.
The service was great, the staff was very welcoming and friendly and the waiter was helpful when suggesting what to order. Service was fast and the waiter checked on us frequently and made sure we had what we needed.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - 1693542638Jul 19, 2017
We found this hidden gem while strolling along the OC boardwalk. It was over 90 degrees so we were really hoping for an enclosed/air conditioned restaurant. After searching for a few minutes we found Tony P's and decided to give it a shot. It wasn't as cold as we hoped it would be inside but it was still a relief from the outside heat. We seated ourselves and shortly thereafter a friendly young waitress greeted us and took our drink order. My bf and I opted for the 32 oz. soda to share for just under $4.
Food: We ordered the buffalo chicken Stromboli and a slice of plain pizza to share rather than pay $24 for a whole pie. The buffalo chicken Stromboli was very spicy but the blue cheese dressing helped curb the spice. The plain pizza was also very good.
We fed 2 people for around $20.00 which isn't bad considering the fact that boardwalk eats can be very expensive. We left there stuffed and satisfied :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Benjamin B.Rancho Cucamonga, CA394636Jun 6, 2019
I stopped and had a slice. Wow that was fantastic

My choice pizza on the boards is Mack and Manco by far. I decided to try a slice at Tony's because of the yelp reviews. Bad choice.
The service was very nice. I had a slice at the counter.
My slice came out half baked, the middle was cold and rubbery. This doomed the pizza from the start!
Otherwise the crust had good integrity and the cheese to sauce ratio was perfect...it just had no flavor! At all! I doused the piece in oregano and crush red pepper.
Overall this was a waste of stomach space! Will be sticking with Mac and Mancos!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Oct 5, 2015
Don't be hating on us pizza snobs. We keep things real, and hopefully raise the bar on all pizza joints we review. That being said, I will also admit that I'm inexperienced on what is being served in this area when it comes to NJ's state food of choice.
We found ourselves in OC on a weekend that had potentially bad weather. My gf is a regular on this boardwalk and her favorite place was not open, so after much deliberation we decided to try this spot. The employees were welcoming and the space was large and clean, but sadly very empty due to weather forecasts.
From the small menu we settled on a half white with shrooms and half pepperoni. The pie came out fairly quickly and looked appetizing. The bottom crust was nicely browned and almost held up when lifted. But the folding technique was needed to deliver said slice to the mouth. The white also needed this maneuver, probably due to the cheese. The shrooms were ok, not really seasoned and I'm not certain that fresh ones were used. I would not order this again. We both agreed the pepperoni was slightly better, and I was happy that the topping was halved so as to better blend the flavors. The red sauce was ok, not what I would call Trenton worthy though.
I was surprised at the cost, with only one small soda the bill came in at $26. This seemed very high to me, possibly boardwalk prices? I would advise potential customers to try one slice first to see if you enjoy this style of pizza. As for me, I'll skip this place, and possibly this genre in the future. 3.25 YelpsHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jackie P.Ventnor City, NJ4193626Aug 13, 2017
First let me say I would ONLY eat pizza in OC from Manco's, for years. After having given a few others a try none came close.
Well, last night after packing & cleaning we were hungry but didn't have cash on us, so we gave Tony P's House of Pie a shot. BOY, am I glad we did!
Not only is their pizza 100% incredible (and better vs. Manco's IMO!) but they are cheaper, take credit cards and have delicious Waffle Fries (great Whiz too!). Delivery was super fast (faster than promised and we ordered at 9:15pm), super-friendly delivery dude as well.
Today we reheated and the pizza tasted just like it did fresh.
I think this gal just converted to Tony P's!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 28, 2018
Great pizza! As a long time visitor and having grown up on the island, it was always Manco but after a friend suggested trying their Jersey Shore Pizza Pie with Taylor pork roll, I had to. So this delicacy starts with white pizza topped with bruschetta and fried pork roll, fresh garlic and warmed up. Delicious! I would highly suggest checking the out!

Great pizza....very crispy and tasty. Prices are very fair and the owner takes the time to speak to the patrons.
We had a 5 year old child there and they took the time to let him make his own little pizza and baked it for him.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Timothy A.Chicago, IL1242417Sep 20, 2018
After our initial pizza stop closed early without explanation, we found nearby Tony P's. We enjoyed our plain cuts directly from Tony P himself, who not only was warm, attentive, and friendly to us from 7:45 onward, but welcomed patrons beyond his stated 8 o'clock closing time. Beautiful, colorful sunset views of the shore while we ate at the barstools.
Finally here's a guy that's grateful to have your patronage!
Will be returning!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Heather D.Vincentown, NJ4110562Jun 25, 2016
The food here is decent. In my opinion there are no amazing pizza places in O.C. But the pizza is edible. Chicken Cheesesteak below average (not much meat).
Atmosphere is nice and service friendly.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
