Did they change their mechado recipe? The last few times our family got it, it tasted different.

      A:

Taste the same to me. But taste is subjective tho.. maybe the cook was having a bad day.

This place has great food and normally the girl who serves me is very pleasant and great. Today I got this server who just completely ignored me and was ready to skip me for service. Has anyone had this experience here?

I️ was just going to post about this, one of the ladies who's been working there for awhile is NOT very friendly! Everyone else has a smile on their faces while on the other hand, she looks like she hates being there! Please don't serve our food… more

Its always a treat when the Mister of mine gets hungry on the way home from work and stops somewhere and asks me if I want anything. Duh, of course. I love to eat. Plus I get a break from the kitchen. But I hate waiting and he took forever and a day to bring it home. I think that is why I did not like my box of to go grub.

So, I get a text they did not have BeefStek. Big sigh. But they had chicken tocino and beef tapa. Okay that will do. At least I hope it will do.

So its turo turo style. You know point and chose combination type plates. He brought me home Beef tapa with garlic rice and 2 fried eggs. Honestly it was just okay. The Mister and his buddy were also on the same wave length, everything was just okay. The one thing I did like was my garlic fried rice. That stuff was good. Then again any garlic rice is good. A lot of people like this place. I think it is just day by day. Go on a good day, and give it 4 stars. Go on a off day, then it is closer to 3 stars.

As for now, not great, not bad but somewhere in between. I would return though.

      3.5 but not rounding up.

Casual Filipino take out. Nice staff.
I ordered the 2 item combination plate. The squid & laing. Which comes with 2 scoops of rice. I also ordered lumpia on the side. With a melon drink. The laing to me, wasn't that good. I prefer my mom's. However, everything else was good.
      Very small parking lot.

      Melon ( cantaloupe) drink.

This place was okay. I'd say the Lumpia was a bit disappointing, but my level to compare is up against the ones my friend's mom makes which are basically the length and girth of a cigar and has a very light crispy wrap and then it's minced ground beef with minced sauteed onions and fresh cracked pepper inside, a little greasy but flavorful and moist. The lumpia here was a bit more dense than I'm used to.

The meats were all marinated well and seasoned with good flavor.

I'm not super familiar with Filipino cuisine when it comes to restaurants, so I'd rate this a s good OK rating that if ever craving it, I'd defer to this place as being a known quality that's solid and reliable.

Right off the 110 Freeway off of Main and Figueroa, next to KFC. I've been coming here for years and I cannot get enough of this place. The best lumpia next to the Lumpia at St. Anthony's carnival (Gardena) in May of each year. They do run out of beef and chicken bbq real quick. Get there before 1pm daily and you will get some but any time after 1pm, you'd be lucky if it was a slow day. The three main things I come to get on the regular, as I did today, is Lumpia, Pancit and Beef Bbq. But they were out of bbq. The hubby got rice. When he's craving he will get Chicken adobe. We didn't get that today. So I left with Lumpia, Pancit and rice.

Their service is always great. We order lumpia every Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. The only thing I would change is their lumpia sauce. I prefer the one that is a bit more spicy. All of their food is made fresh daily. This is our go-to spot. The Pancit is never fishy. Always cooked to perfection.

This place burned last year which it was closed for some time. It was a bummer for a lot of us folks. I am glad they are all safe, back up and running. We love you Tita Celia's !!!

The prices are feasible. The restaurant is always clean. Everyone is always presentable and smiles. I know some days you may bump into staff with a little attitude but I can guarantee that before you walked in, they had a rude customer. And I have seen it happen a couple of times and the next person to come in meets their upset demeanor which I know is never intentional. Sometimes some time needs to pass before the next person comes in but because this place is a jewel, people come in right after the next.

The Luna never tastes store bought. The rice is cooked to perfection. Not too wet and not dry. Still wishing I had their beef bbq today but I'll have that next time.

      Love this place.

Food: They specialize in filipino food. Friends in the are recommend this place.

Cool Note: sinagang is usually served on mondays and fridays (beef)

Service: it's like panda express style, you go, pick out the dishes you would like and they have a variety through the week. I like to call ahead of time especially they have Lonsilog all day.

Ambiance: Place never really fills up in the dining area. It's a clean spot to have your food with your family. Don't be surprised to see karaoke or TFC news in the background.

They have a parking lot shared with KFC.

      We bought 8 halo halo
      $9 each including tax
It looks good based from first and second pictures. But after mixing it wasn't even full, Leche flan is missing and hardly any of tropical fruits.
We are Not so happy with our purchase,
So we are giving it 2 stars

I got a mix plate, lumpia, and a halo halo and all the items were great! Big portions and nothing was too heavy or salty. I do want to note that their halo halo wasn't ready when I ordered my mix plate but the employee told me if I wanted to wait like 5 min, they could make it so I did. Didn't wait too long but before you leave, make sure you have all the items you paid for. I had to double check my orders and my lumpia was missing which I think is because I went during rush hour but they were so nice to fetch it for me asap.

The prices may be a bit higher than other joints but the food here feels homemade and portions are enough for 2 people, even more. There's not much seating inside for more than 20ish people and the parking lot can be difficult to find/get into. Definitely a great to-go place though! Even during rush hours, it wasn't too loud inside and there was music playing as well.

Definitely would visit again to try their other items!

On a rainy day, enjoying Filipino food take out from
Tita Celia's is the best! When I have my Filipino food cravings, this is definitely my go to Filipino fast food!
Variety of Filipino dishes available, love that they always have Sinigang! They have Filipino desserts and beverages also. Indoor seating only, takeout and catering available. This is a simple, cozy fast food restaurant.

Ate Mildred, the service staff here is always nice & helpful. The make sure the lines are moving efficiently. They also have their own parking lot. Food here is always MASARAP! (:

Such great filipino food!! The service is great, they explain dishes to you and are helpful and friendly. The place itself is nice, it's always busy but there is always a place to sit. My favorite thing was the sinigang- we had beef and it was deliciously sour and the beef was perfect. The ginataang was also so good. We can't wait to come back!!

Such an amazing hole in the wall restaurant. I have gotten platters of their lumpia and the carioca to bring to parties and it's always been a fan favorite!

The lumpia has a lot of flavor, generous filling & a good crunch to them.

The Carioca is chewy, soft, and crunchy on the outside. Good size portion too!

Will definitely be coming back over and over again.

Bestie and I tried Tita Celia's for the first time today. We both had chicken adobo, rice and Pancit. I also got 6 pieces of lumpia and a cantaloupe drink. Everything was great. Definitely a place to try. I wanted to get some Leche Flan but was too full and wasn't going right home. - Next Time!

Yummy goodness! Chicken adobo, rice, Pancit, lumpia and I forgot the name of the balls on a stick.
