The Twisted Chopstick

The Twisted Chopstick has quickly become one of our favorites! The food is fresh, artfully presented and always delicious. It's rare that they had a food misstep.

The menu is fairly extensive, offering sushi, ramen, bento boxes and more. The servers are attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu offerings.

Housed in an old home on the edge of downtown DeLand, the restaurant has vintage charm, allowing the food to take center stage. They offer a selection of bottled beer as well as beer on tap, wine, and soft drinks.

There is seating outside overlooking an oriental inspired garden with subdued lighting, perfect for a romantic meal on a balmy evening.

If you are looking for a low key delightful meal, you must dine at The Twisted Chopstick.

As a side note, The Twisted Chopstick has consistently high ratings from the health department.

Hiring a sushi chef but the food is still great. A sign greets you when you enter, now hiring sushi chef, but I didn't have to worry, the sushi was still great. The gyoza is yummy too. If the weather is nice, be sure to eat on the outdoor deck. Enjoy yourself here!

Amazing sushi and food!! I love this place. Every time I go I really enjoy my meal. They have creative menu choices and amazing flavors in every dish. I will definitely be returning.

Have been so excited to try this place and needless to say it was a disappointment...first we waited awhile to be seated after seeing two workings stand in front of us and not acknowledge us so it took awhile to get seated. Than a bad attitude waiter waited on us, took our drink order and was going to order appetizer but he stopped us and told use he is only taking drink orders right now. Talk bout rude!! Then he finally comes back and takes our food order...30mins later our appetizer finally comes out, mean while ppl that came in after us already eating and we are still waiting on our food...finally got our food and the Volcano sushi had crab on top that where hard and rubbery...very disappointed and the pork ramen was not bad. Over all my experience was bad and I don't think we will be coming back.

We have been dying to come here for months. Finally, while passing through, we decided to come in and try it.
Upon entering, we were not greeted. As a matter of fact, the hostess completely ignored us. When we finally caught her attention she had the audacity to ask us if we have been helped yet. She saw us walk in and was 1 foot away from us for 5-10 mins. So finally she told us to just sit where ever. So we did.
We got to the table. It took a while to get someone over to take our order. When they finally came over, I ordered drinks and wanted to go ahead and get my appetizer in, but was told they are only getting drinks right now. Okay. That's fine. So we got our drinks quickly, luckily. But it took a bit to get my appetizer. It was pretty good. We got the volcano roll and it tasted fishy, even though it's just crab, and it was also rubbery and hard. The ramen was good. I'm not sure we will return unfortunately. However, the prices were very reasonable.

I moved from Los Angeles and miss the amount of sushi and ramen restaurants that surrounded me. I wandered into this little cozy house and discovered such a peaceful unique sushi joint awaiting me. I don't understand how this place isn't packed because the food quality was on point!!

We started off with an appetizer of the Ahi Nachos and, oh my, was it super tasty. The crunch of the chips coupled with the fresh Ahi tuna is a crowd pleaser. I ordered the Samurai roll per the waitresses recommendation. The roll was amazing and had pickled jalapeños on top which added another layer of flavor. Of course we added some sake to our dinner.

We have three little ones at home and finally had a date night. This resturant had us out of there in 35 minutes and we honestly didn't feel rushed, that's how great our service was. We had enough time to hit up some batting cages and miniature golf on the way home. Thank you for giving us a wonderful date night!

I'm ready to try everything on this menu! I was super excited to try this place as it has been on my list for a little since I just moved here. I'm gonna start very basic by just getting the vanilla boba. It had great flavor and the boba balls were chewy just like they should be. For dinner I got the pork broth ramen. It was awesome! Tons of flavor the pork was so tender and I ordered corn for $2. Overall the meal was super filling and I was very full when I left. For both of these items I paid $20 which isn't a bad price as I've been to other places where the bowl alone was $15+ and then add the extra toppings. Our waitress was great, she had some great recommendations. My friend was not a pork eater but she also wanted to try this version so they allowed her to sub the pork for mushrooms and that looked amazing too!

Awesome!! Charming restaurant in an old house, we sat inside in the AC and were very comfortable, there was also the option of outdoor deck seating.

What we ordered: Korean BBQ Roll, Volcano Roll, Vegetable Tempura Roll, Indie Roll, Fire Ramen, Shrimp Tempura Roll, and Macha Cheesecake, Boba tea.

It was truly excellent, portions were just right and every bite was delicious!

We wanted a little something sweet and Nathaniel recommended the macha cheesecake! Man, was he spot on. It was the perfect ending!

Great food, great service, relaxing atmosphere! We will be back!
