The Shed

Decided to stop at the Shed for lunch after bookmarking it months ago. The atmosphere was lively, and the service was good. I can only imagine how it is in the spring and summer months. We decided to mix it up and try a few different items to share. Everything we had was good; small meat lovers pizza, pulled pork sliders, chili and Dr Pepper wings. We will definitely return and bring some friends along!

Staff was so friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Lisa, was our server and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
They do have a full bar and a good beer list.
I had the mushroom Swiss burger on a sweet jalapeño bun with sweet potato fries. It was fantastic!
Hubby had the Shed burger with kettle chips and thought it was excellent.

This place has the fun, comfortable vibe that would make us regulars if we lived in the area. As it is, we will be returning during our future drives to Austin.

Hidden gem - I was definitely impressed. Stopped by here on the way to Dallas and it's a super cute area.

We ordered 12 count wings ($13.50) and a burger with fries ($17). I can't even explain what a good deal the wings were for how huge and delicious they were. The waitress was also the sweetest, very kind and attentive.

Highly recommend if you're in the area!

Nice stop in The Shed, I love the eclectic decor with church pews mixed with diner seats, mason jar lighting hanging from wagon wheels, really unique and fitting with the antique/ boutique/specialty stores of Salado.

Food was good and I rate the pizza above Happy Pizza up the road. Food comes out fast, and the service is great, everyone is moving, refilling drinks, cleaning tables and ensuring you're taken care of. Would recommend a change in plating for kids foods, the kids pizza is served on the same metal dish it's cooked on. There is no need to tell a kid a plate is hot, just slide the pizza on to a non pipping hot plate and serve that to the child.

Overall a good no frills stop and I would return if in the area.

We went to the shed for a late lunch, and it was amazing as most places in Salado. Before I forget, I want to mention the waitress Lisa, who was amazing and gave amazing customer service! She was very familiar with the menu and had some really good recommendations, which I always enjoy when eating at a restaurant. We had the shed sampler, which was mozzarella sticks, hot wings and chips and salsa. We opted for the Dr Pepper wings (housemate sauce) YUM and and the kickin' bourbon. The ambience is much like something that you would see on diners, dives, and drive-ins. The food was great. My BLT was perfect and I will absolutely make this one of my staples when I'm in Salado.

Love this spot that is off the main road in Salado on the corner next to a spa and some event space. It's rustic but clean. Each table has a fun selection of mini games to play. Food is decent bar food and drinks are the same.

This is a good place to the food was good and the service was friendly. They had a large party which required more of the servers time. She was supper sweet and worked hard to serve us as quickly as possible. We were seated on the back porch and it was not too loud and we could talk which is what we were looking for. Overall it was a good experience and we will return. The prices were higher than I expected but the food was good so that is understandable. I ordered the chef salad and it was loaded with goodies. I would have loved to see fresh smoked ham and turkey bits rather than lunch meat slices stacked and chopped, that would be my only recommendation from our meal.

Stopped in for dinner when I happened to be in the area unexpectedly. Definitely has a home town vibe- very casual, friendly, and "shed" decor. The menu was mostly pizzas, burgers, Fritos dishes and hot dogs with some salads. Seemed pricier than I was expecting with burger baskets being around $15-$17. Ordered the mushroom Swiss burger on the sourdough and sweet potato fries. The burger was good, the bun was fantastic! Sweet potato fries were good but I've had better. Husband had a cheeseburger and regular fries. He liked the burger but the fries weren't his favorite. Waitress was friendly. Had a little snafu when trying to pay and the order had vanished but not too big of a deal and it was handled ok. Overall, a decent place but overpriced for what it is.

Nice spot in Salado for a group. Easy parking, even on the weekends. Friendly service.

Food was good. Standard bar fare with some upgrades and a couple twists. Nice selection of beer, full bar, limited wine selection.
