We had an excellent experience with the Wedgewood crew at The Ranch. They were with us every step of the way, making the entire process stress-free and smooth. I want to specifically mention our coordinator, Brittany. She was an amazing person who was always sweet and helpful, especially on our big day. Brittany made sure we stayed on schedule without feeling pressured to move from one part of the ceremony to the next. When it was time for her to hand off the reins to Jessica, our evening coordinator, the transition was seamless.
Lana and I could not have been happier with the whole process. Despite a series of storms during the week, the weather cleared up beautifully with blue skies on our wedding day. We picked March hoping for the hills to be stunningly green. We were not disappointed! The panoramic view overlooking San Jose was breathtaking! It was like something straight out of a movie! Unfortunately, our photographer is still working on the photos, but as soon as we have them, we'll be glad to share them!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Elizabeth C.Tracy, CA795236Feb 22, 2024
We had our wedding here January 2024 and it was WONDERFUL! No complaints; the entire planning experience was smooth because we felt supported throughout it all. The food was stellar, the ceremony was perfect, the entertainment was top-notch, the photography, officiant, rehearsal experience, etc etc were FABULOUS! It was without one of the most special days of our lives. I got to be married in my hometown without any hiccups, and my guests couldn't have been any happier. Five stars all around!
Special thanks to:
Andy, our photographer from "A Perfect Impression"
Steve Siglin, our officiant from "Officially Yours"

The morning after my wedding at this venue. But! Despite post marital bliss, I am so particular, and in bad nature, did check the Yelp reviews leading up to my day. So, I was cautious to set lofty expectations.
Before the day of: 22% service charge and sales tax really blows the price out of the water. Be prepared with your budget. Great communication via text and emails, responses were less than 24 hours. No problems. It is worth it to attend the open house to rejuvenate the excitement for your day and the venue.
Day of wedding: text received, phone call three hours prior to the arrival time, to check in, was so nice. Periodic check ins from the coordinators throughout the day was so great! The food was excellent (better than the open house!), the house spirit options were Makers Mark, Hennessy, Tito's, for example. The wedding cake from I Do Wedding Cakes was so beautifully decorated (better than their Instagram photos!!!!!), and delicious and moist. The roast beef was deliciously medium rare.
All our guests enjoyed the wedding.
Couple of particulars
-Flowers weren't the freshest. The boutonnières my maid of honor made with Safeway flowers 3 days prior to the wedding were far more crisp, important for ivory photos.
-standard centerpieces are larger than what is pictured on their Instagram page. They appear to be 12" tall, but mine were probably closer to 15-18"
-Our wedding had a guest size of 100 and there was only one bartender. No one complained of a wait, nor did I notice much of one.
-add the drapes, or else the reception room looks plain. I would've skipped the four tall floral centerpieces ($250 each) and put those funds for the upgrade for draping.
-we were charged $60 for wrapping 3 centerpieces to be bridal bouquets, but then on the day of my MOH was told it didn't need to be done because they had enough centerpieces. Wut. I mean, who cares about $60 after you spent $31,000?
-opt out of the accent lighting to save money in the elite package, looked like 60watt bulb intensity (vs 100watt)
-glad we downgraded the liquor from top shelf to well, as the brands above, it was good enough!
-officiant was a pro, guest loved the ceremony!

We loved having our wedding here! Thank you to the entire team from planning to coordinating! Ingrid and Jessica were amazing. Even weeks later, we are still on cloud 9! It was perfect.

I was a bridesmaid at my best friends wedding this month and I wish we could give the team at the ranch more than 5 stars! Our two coordinators, Ingrid and Jessica, were on top of everything. They guided us through the wedding rehearsal with humour and clarity! They set the bar high for the wedding day and they did not disappoint. The banquet staff were quick and helpful, and the Banquet Captain, Tyler, helped us pack everything up at the end of night! I joined in on one of the planning meetings at the venue and it was so seamless and stress free. They entirely captivated my friends vision and executed it to perfection! I cannot recommend this facility enough. I've never seen my best friend happier!

I recently attended a wedding at the ranch at silver creek, and I must say that it was nothing short of amazing. The food was great, the staff were happy and very helpful when we asked questions in regards to what my wife could eat with her food allergies. The coordinators (two young women) were on point the entire evening, present, happy and entirely fantastic. It was awesome to see my best friend being cared for so much on his big day! My wife and I both agreed that we wish we had known about this venue when we got married. Round of applaud for the Wedgewood team

Just had my wedding here last week. It's been a long process, starting since January 2022!
We had our tour and instantly fell in love with the venue. It's way easier when a majority of the costs are just laid out in front of you. I can tell you now, when you begin wedding planning, it is very overwhelming. The first thing you'll look for is a venue. It will tell you it costs $1500 or something but that literally means nothing in the grander scheme of things. There can be hidden fees, catering costs, outside vendors, etc that you have to consider and the price just piles on.
It's a lot more transparent from the get-go when you go with Wedgewood. I wouldn't say there are hidden fees, but there are additional costs to consider even if you go with an all inclusive vendor like Wedgewood. Things like photography, videography, venue upgrades, etc. Yet, in the end, I know I saved myself a lot of stress by going through with Wedgewood.
After putting our deposit down, we got a binder that just had a bunch of information for us to consider. Things that I never would have considered, since I had never been married before. They've run a lot of weddings so they know the right things to ask. I feel like it's not really factored into the price but you essentially get a wedding planner and a day of wedding coordinator included, and the latter is something SO essential.
They were always responsive over emails and helped answer any questions I had. They never made me felt silly for asking dumb questions. They were all such genuinely nice people.
We continue discussing over emails and then we have our planning meetings and what not. Again just so helpful throughout the entire process.
Wedgewood also included some floral, cake, and dj vendors who were all amazing to work with. Separate reviews going up for them.
Katy, our day of coordinator, was literally the best. She kept us on track and kept checking in with us in case we needed to change plans. Weddings never go 100% according to plan, but I felt comfortable knowing that Katy and the entire Wedgewood team had our back.
She also brought us our food and drinks to keep us full and hydrated. And she helped facilitate the table visits, as trying to take pictures with 19 tables is no easy feat. Especially with everyone else running around and grabbing drinks.
Speaking of food, everyone absolutely loved the food. We were already over budget, but when I tried the prime rib at one of their fairs, I knew I had to upgrade for it. My friend had told me before that the 5 cheese tortellini was bomb, so I had to get that. I had also had it a few times at other wedgewood weddings so I already knew. Plus we had a couple vegetarians. The panko crusted chicken, despite something that would probably get soggy sitting in sauce, it was still good!
Luckily my cousin is getting married at another wedgewood venue later this year, so I'm gonna definitely eat as much as I can there. She better get the prime rib, or else.
It was literally the best day of my life and everyone who asks me about my wedding, that's all I tell them. I wasn't expecting to feel so strongly about my wedding but that's just how big of an impact the entire team had on us.
I am so sad that I won't be able to work with them anymore. I hope I can attend someone else's wedding at this venue because it's just so beautiful, and I wasn't really fully there during my own wedding day. Got a little too drunk plus the night just goes by so fast. Though, maybe I'll just get married again (to the same wife of course...) for the opportunity to work with them again!
Or, if you booked with this venue because you saw my review... please invite meHelpful 4Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Mar 27, 2023
As a March 2023 bride and I cannot speak highly enough of my entire experience for The Ranch at Silver Creek.
[ Planning Team ]
Orlando, Katy, Lindsey & Sydney know how to get things done, and THEN SOME!
* Orlando helped us get started with our vision with our initial meeting, when we ourselves barely had an idea of how we wanted our "big day" to look like.
* Lindsey and Sydney answered all our burning questions (and we had MANY questions) in the last 2-3 months leading up to our wedding.
* Katy was an absolute force to be reckoned with. I hope that she counts her "day of coordinator" days as a workout since she is literally running back and forth and making sure that the bride and groom are fed, taken care of, that all of our requests are being addressed, and that our guests are having a great time.
Katy goes the extra mile, or two, or three. One example in particular was when she took our the glowsticks during dancing time and unpackaged them from their wrapping and turned them on to invite guests to start dancing. She could have easily given the glow sticks to the guests for them to open the glowsticks themselves, but she went the extra mile and did it for them. Thank you Katy!
* One of these fine folks improved my initial design of my wedding table and I was absolutely amazed and blown away.
[ Venue ]
* Very ADA accessible! No steep stairs to have to be mindful of
* Beautiful landscape of the rolling hills because it was a former golf course
* You get all the benefits of the large space of being a former golf course, without having disruptions by actual golfers and their golf carts
* There is a Plan B if it is raining - and it doesn't cost extra if that is the plan that you have to take
* The space is now made with hardwood, so it is very clean and elegant
* The Bride's Room and Groom's Room are SO spacious and you can lock your belongings for yourself and your wedding party so they are safe during your wedding!
* Also the fact that there is a Groom's Room in general is a MAJOR bonus, because many venues offer a tiny room for the groom, if there is even a room at all!
* Only one major event can occur at this venue at one time -- other venues can have multiple events at once which was not something that we wanted for our wedding
[ Staff ]
* The bartenders do not mess around!!! Angela was so generous with serving our guests and she is quick and efficient, there was never a long queue at the bar!
The Ranch's dedicated vendors will have their own individual reviews on their pages, but they also deserve a shout out here:
* iMobile DJ - DJ Brian brought the energy up the whole night!
* iMobile Photobooth - Tom was super sweet and captured so many funny moments
* Flower Divas - Shawna brought my vision to life and made it even better
* I Do Wedding Cakes - Our guests thought that the cake was absolutely delicious
[ Food ]
* You know how wedding food is usually stereotyped to be blah and just okay? Well The Ranch kitchen shattered that stereotype. The cheese tortellini was so satisfying. Even the bread roll was warm and delicious. The roast beef was juicy and not dry. There was not a single dish that I could say that I was disappointed with!
Overall, The Ranch team exceeded my expectations. I felt like my now-husband and I became good friends with the staff and they helped me have the most amazing wedding. Our guests could not stop raving about their experience. Everything was so organized and timely and I fully recommend everyone to book their wedding here ASAP because you really can't go wrong with this team, and your desired date may already be taken!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Pierre Luigi B.Fremont, CA065Oct 10, 2023Updated review
Weeks later and still disappointed at this huge miss of a venue for my brother and his wife's wedding.
All they tried to do to fix the situation was "comp the meals for the bride and groom" and copied and pasted the same weak apology to our Yelp reviews.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hello Pierre Luigi,
I am so sorry to read about your experience. We do strive to provide the best experience for all of our couples and guests so I apologize that we fell short for this event.
We are aware of the problem we have with the animal droppings. We have a lot of wildlife in the area and we do clean this up daily, as well as when chairs are being setup for weddings. I am sorry that it was still an issue during the wedding and rehearsal.
And regarding the guest count, we noticed while setting up the event that the floor plan guest count didn't match what was on the contract. Should this ever happen again we will train our staff on a better way to handle the discrepancy with the couple.
We hope that overall you enjoyed the wedding and were able to celebrate the couple.

The Ranch at Silver Creek by Wedgewood Weddings has a beautiful view of hilltop view of San Jose, but the charming facade masks the audacious unprofessionalism we experienced on September 22, 2023 by the staff, service team, and venue as a whole.
The manner in which they treated my brother and sister-in-law is no way you would want to see your loved ones, or anyone for that matter, on their wedding day. My brother and sister-in-law began planning and budgeting for their wedding back in 2021. They had a signed contract with the venue, all the details covered, head count, and made all their payments on time.
The morning of the rehearsal, my sister-in-law received a call by the staff at the Ranch informing her that due to a system error, they owed an additional $5000. Days later they find out that despite the internal error they were still required to make the payment or they will be taken to collections. What type of business, not only faults the customer for an internal system error but lays this on them before their wedding? Furthermore, a contract was signed stating the balance due.
As we arrived to the venue for the rehearsal, I immediately noticed the patchy grass where guests would be sitting and animal feces (shit) on the walkway up to the altar. As we practiced, my elderly parents, young nieces and nephews, the wedding party, and bride and groom had to carefully walk around the feces. We were assured the feces would be gone by the wedding, but why not clean it before we got there? Furthermore, there was a broken wine glass by the altar, a perfect place for the flower girls and ring bearers to cut themselves prior to the wedding.
The day of the wedding, we arrived to see 2 maintenance staff members sitting in the shade "supervising" an robotic self-driving lawn mower, while the feces was still on the walkway, the guest seating was still not set up, and the broken glass was in the same spot.
In other wedding parties I've been in, the staff always introduced themselves and made us feel comfortable with their warm hospitality...we did not get any of that from the staff. The only time staff was in the groomsmen dressing room was to call my brother, the groom, into the office to discuss THEIR ERROR SYSTEM and they STILL EXPECTED PAYMENT.
Food was average, mostly salads and veggies. They were stingy on the meats, which only tasted good because my bro is a chef and we brought our own chimichurri. DJ was ok, but not a great emcee. Also, he could've dressed up for the event, he wore a polo shirt and looked like he worked at a Best Buy and not a wedding venue.
Overall, as I plan for my wedding this venue is off my list and possibly all Wedgewood locations. But I'm sure despite this poor review they're business will still thrive as they scam other couples too in love and invested in the institution of marriage that they will overlook the unprofessionalism by The Ranch at Silver Creek by Wedgewood Weddings. - Brittney L.Alameda, CA387106Sep 10, 2023
We had an August 2023 wedding and I highly recommend getting married at a Wedgewood location! After writing this review I read some of the older reviews and can definitely say that the coordinators now vs 6 years ago are totally different and so nice and helpful!
Over all I looked at 8 locations and this was one of my tops. We really loved the view, the romantic architecture and the rose bushes!
At first, I wasn't sure if they were too good to be true but I texted the number listed on their site and enjoyed how quick and easy it was to set up appointments at each location. Everyone we met at Wedgewood was so nice!
We ended up picking the ranch not only for the views but we also liked that there was a grooms getting ready room and a bridal getting ready room (although the door lock was a little broken at the time on the bridal room)
Every vendor we worked with via Wedgewood was awesome and I've left reviews at each vendors business in case you want a more detailed review.
I think there were only a couple of cons
-the photobooth option changed from imobileDJs providing the photobooth to Wedgewood doing an in-house standalone photobooth (operated by an employee). The venue was not prepared as I heard that the photobooth ran out of photo paper very early on so people didn't get prints. Thankfully there was a digital gallery but part of the keepsake is the printed photo. It also seemed like the camera placement of the photobooth was too high and could have been lowered a bit. Lastly, the timing in between each photo in the set of 3 should be checked. It was too long to take the photo (5 seconds) but not enough time in between photos so people were constantly blurry. It just didn't seem like that great of quality unless you stayed very still for each photo.
-as mentioned the bridal room door didn't lock which was just a little uncomfortable for my breast feeding sister and a little less secure for people who wanted to leave valuables in there
-we did plated food service and will some of the following was complicated bcus guests were moving around....it was very hard for the vegetarian/vegan meals to get to the right person. Thankfully we only had a handful but the placecards had been marked and it also looked like they marked the table seating card that listed all the guests at the table.
Pros-
-Wedgewood sets up the wedding and packs if all up in the end. I was highly impressed that it all went so well. Highly suggest taking photos of everything and being detailed on if you want anything displayed specifically
-everyone knows their role and what they should be doing. They are with you every step of the way!
-Wedgewood was always so responsive and answered all of my many questions. They were also accommodating when meetings needed to be moved!
Overall, we could not have had as fabulous of a wedding without the staff at The Ranch Wedgewood. Thank you especially to Ericka, Carrie and Jennifer!
Don't get me wrong, there is still planning and work that needs to be done on the bride/grooms side but it is really helpful to have people there to answer all your questions and help. I can't imagine if I had had to go and find/vet a florist, cake maker, dj, etc and on top of that be armed with averages and typical cost to know if they were reasonable or not. The only preferred vendor that we did not use was the videographer and that was based on preference as I personally thought the videos looked like stock film.
I highly recommend Wedgewood The Ranch!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information
