Looking for vegan/vegetarian options in Santa Barbara? Or just like really fresh farm to table options? This is a great option! I had the tofu veggie bowl and it was a fresh, creamy, crunchy bowl full of goodness. Also terrific was the iced bar with brewed greens, hibiscus, black and more teas. So refreshing!

Yum!!! Ordered takeout because I wanted a healthy style fulfilling meal after day drinking yesterday. Ordered online and was ready within 15 minutes. I got the Turkey burger with onions and cheese and it was so good! Came with chips and salsa as well.

Lots of seating inside and outdoor, right on state street. Definitely recommend and prices are fair as well!

If you're looking for a quick healthy meal downtown, Natural Cafe is a good option! It's a pay-up-front, seat yourself type of place, with a super chill atmosphere and great location.

I got the veggie tofu bowl and it wasn't anything super special that I wouldn't be able to make at home, but it was still a tasty lunch. Their lemonade is incredible, though. I mixed some of their black tea with the lemonade and the end result was delicious!

I had no clue that such a good restaurant existed on state street.

Grilled salmon pesto..
Lightly seasoned with a tango of flavor..
I repeat,

And uh, I guess I got my cherry popped.

I ate the cherry tomatoes in the salad
( not something I typically do)
But this is the first time in my life
Where I've tasted tomatoes that actually tasted like a cherry.
It wasn't the normal watery stuff found in salads

Anyways,

The rice texture was real brown rice, "normal"
Salad was good with Italian dressing
The Italian dressing tasted like their was something special in it.. ?
A little dance move or two (two step?)

So clear the table from dinner
These people have "Real carrot cake"
Omg
The texture is that of a sponge and a gel
It's not cakey
Do yourself a favor...
Bless your appetite with a slice
I told them to warm mine up
So the frosting melted...( even better)

I will definitely be back to this place!!

Usually my "go to" lunch. I always order the arugula salad with salmon. Was there on 8/9 and the salmon was dry and not very appealing. I also feel that the order takers are non-emotional and just "take the order". Not sure if NC can keep up.

Really loved this place. We needed something with vegan options that was fairly quick and found this place! It took about 10 min for them to get an order of two tofu bowls. The tahini sauce was so good, and the quality of the ingredients was super high. For the amount and quality, I thought it was a really good deal price-wise. Loved that it came with avocado. Would def come back, esp to sit outside on a nice evening amid all the energy of State street.

Just as good the second time around. I had the tuna this time r and it was outstanding! Love the service and the tastiness of the food. My only comment was the carrot bar this time around was not as moist as the carrot cake we originally had. They have both inside and outside seating, which is a plus. Love it!

After always going to the Natural Cafe in Goleta we decided to try the State street location in Santa Barbara. We both ordered the veggie stir fry with tofu. The food was fresh and delicious. Glad they have brown rice to make the dish much healthier. The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly. The prices are very reasonable for being downtown. We definitely will be back.

This is a really nice, healthy restaurant located on State St and it has so many incredible gluten free (gf) options! They even have a separate menu for it. The soups of the day change so I recommend asking the cashier for recommendations. The girlie who helped me told me that tomato basil was her favorite and I completely understand why!! It was so rich, smooth, creamy, warm, and comforting. It made me want to curl up in a ball and take a nap after!! It is also a great deal because a cup of soup with a side of a huge piece of bread is only $4!! The portions are very generous and the food comes out really quickly. They have a counter with the utensils, napkins, condiments, spices, water, etc so you can help yourself. It definitely was a great spot and I highly recommend coming here with friends and family because it has options for everyone!

In the mood for a vegetarian meal, their grilled vege sandwich did not disappoint. Fresh yellow zucchini and other veges with tomato and pesto was a delightful change to the usual meat choices. Front patio seating perfect spot to people watch on a warm afternoon while enjoying their fresh fruit smoothie for dessert.

Tried this place because they had a vegan burger option for my partner and we happened to be in the area.
After eating many vegan burgers and sandwiches, I can safely say this one was just average. Not terrible, but also not too flavorful. The patty was decent and not dry or over-cooked, but the rest of the burger, including all the toppings were bland and the bread was dry.
It came with salsa that tasted like Pace salsa from a jar and chips that had been left out a little too long and seemed stale. I'm still awarding them three stars because the vegan cheese saved the burger.
