Which location would you recommend for first timers?
A:
Hi, Gloria, it depends on the type of atmosphere you’re looking for. Both locations serve the same exquisite Modern Latin cuisine. Our Old Town location has a more rustic, intimate vibe with a glowing Himalayan salt brick wall and candlelight. Our… more

Great service.
Wonderful food. Smaller portions.
Great seating options inside and out.
We made reservations.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Apr 7, 2024Updated review
The venue is large with an outdoor patio and seating on 2 levels.
We sat upstairs which was quieter but the service was significantly slower. Our server seemed a little
Overwhelmed as he forgot a few drinks and items but he has several other large parties so- maybe they were understaffed.
The table side guac was delicious although spicier then we anticipated mild to be. I also got the roasted cauliflower meal which wasn't as expected- it was more tiny chunks of cauliflower in a stew vs what I would think was roasted cauliflower whole.
The food was great, and it was a fun time- just don't come super hungry as it does take a while for the food to arrive.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 10, 2022Previous reviewA very captivating space with the friendliest staff. Our server Crystal was kind and on top of things and more importantly human (she wasn't fake nice because she had to be).
The drinks were delicious- they have a LOT of amazing tequila options, the guacamole was delicious and a large serving. I found the servings all plentiful, we ended up taking some home! - Mar 10, 20241 check-in
I was really looking forward to this place. Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. We sat at the bar to start. Very pricy drink selection. The bartender wasn't overly friendly. He didn't address us for a while though we sat in front of him.
We got our table inside. It was a little noisy for talking but I know that is expected on a busy night.
The server was friendly but very slow to get water to us. Another four top sat next to us right after we got there and they got their food and drinks before we did. We didn't order anything that would take extra time. It took nearly thirty minutes to get our entrees with no explanation for the delay.
As far as the food?? I ordered a half chicken that was small and dry. It came without a side at $34. I should've gone to Costco and gotten a roasted chicken for a fraction of the price that is sure to be yummy. lol The dessert was actually good. Very different but good. We got the corn flan.
I would not likely return based on this experience. There are far too many other places to go that are, in my opinion, better.Helpful 9Thanks 2Love this 4Oh no 2 - 1001323984Apr 2, 2024Updated review2 check-ins
Todd our server was very friendly and accommodating.
Ambiance is fantastic. Food is always great, drinks are marvelous.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Feb 18, 2018Previous reviewTre was fantastic, food superb and service was top notch. The table side guacamole is to die for and 4 of us split 3 different taco platters more than enough food for all of us.
Chips and salsa also superb. We didn't get the white bean dip but I've had before and it's superb as well.
I still like the ambiance of the one in old town. - 107261552Mar 24, 2024
Came here with a group of 3 people for dinner over the weekend. Flit was definitely busy and we had reservations. We were seated promptly. The noise level is above average but can still have a conversation without having to raise your voice. We ordered the guac which was good and we also had chips and salsa. For the main course we shared the pork which I thought was just ok. The sauce was very sweet and the tortillas were undercooked. I wished there were a tad more crispy. The service was slow overall and one of our orders did not make it but by then we were pretty much done eating so we just cancelled it. Slightly disappointed in the whole experience.

What an amazing place for a group dinner this was! The place was absolutely phenomenal. The staff was great and attentive. We were promptly served and everything came out delicious and timely. The ambiance of the place is outstanding.
I've been to the old town location several times but this one really knocked it out of the park with roomier accommodations. Even though it's a significantly longer drive than old town's location - it's highly likely we'll make the drive. Food was EXCELLENT!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jan 15, 2024
Save your money and don't dine here! If you do end up coming to the Mission you should avoid the brunch at all costs!!
We came on a Sunday around 1:30pm with a party of 4 in hopes of ordering the roasted pork shoulder tacos. We were disappointed to learn they only serve this during dinner. Our server recommended we order "the pig" which he said is the closest thing to that. This couldn't be further from the truth! This is what they offer during "brunch" and it's all you can eat carnitas and pork shoulder tacos... but they are COLD and DRY! Such a disappointment. I watched the meat sit untouched under a light for over an hour and you have to have a server make the tacos for you and no one was standing there to assist for the longest time.
The Kobe dog was also a let down for $18. So much stuff on it you couldn't pick it up with your hands but the meat was really tough to cut with a fork and knife. My Mom ordered the tostadas and said they were so hard she hurt her tooth biting into it!!! They are supposed to be dark meat chicken but every other piece tasted dry.
They don't have Pacifico on tap and it was brought out in a lukewarm bottle... at least serve it with a chilled glass!!
Our server never came to check on us after our food was delivered.
The margaritas and table side guacamole was good but we had higher expectations dining at a restaurant with this price point.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 24360790Sep 21, 2023
We came to town to visit friends and a group of 7 of us had dinner here one night. It's a cool space but I will say it was very loud and dark by the end of our meal which nobody really cared for.
We got two table side guacamoles, two lamb empanadas, tacos, steaks and drinks. I wish I would have taken better photos but didn't get to it. Everything was tasty but for the price point we expected a better meal. Sides were additional and everything was a little high priced for the size. The service was excellent though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - 44812023276Jul 15, 2023
Decor inside, nailed it. The massive stone cross structure located back lit at the bar is surrounded by a bazillion types of tequilas (and all spirits). Wrought iron and dark wood with traditional mission-style furniture and accents gives an upscale, and yet relaxed vibe.
Service was attentive and friendly. Food was good, but I wasn't wowed. The tostadas apps were actually one of our more favored dishes. Table made side guac was also very tasty, actually. I'm sure we'll stop by there again, we have an office across the street.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 807313349Dec 15, 2023
Amazing Mexican dinner at The Mission. Ambiance and decor were exceptional. Started w/ table side guacamole for appetizer. Avocado was fresh and the guacamole was delicious. Ordered the porchetta w/ sides of poblano grits, Mexican street corn, and brussel sprouts. The chorizo stuffed porchetta was spectacular! Chorizo was not overpowering and the pork was perfectly cooked. Poblano grits and Mexican street corn were both exceptional and the hous made tortillas, while a bit small, were excellent. Upscale take on Mexican cuisine. Very good meal. Service was outstanding. Great meal. Look forward to coming back!
