Long overdue review - I've been coming to this salon for the past 3 years and am so thankful I found it!

I've been seeing Angelica for hair coloring since I moved to SF 7 years ago. Boy am I happy I found her!!! Not only is she the sweetest to chat with and remembers all the little things you share with her, but is very collaborative in her approach - she listens to what you want and gives feedback when you ask but without being pushy of her opinion and we always land exactly where I envision! She's very attentive to detail and takes pride in using clean hair products and ensuring you are happy with the result before you leave. She knows my hair well at this point and I fully trust her with it. I will follow her anywhere she goes (and I already did, in fact - as she was at a different salon when we first met :))

I work with Lacey for my cuts and she is also so fantastic! I see her around every 6 months and am so happy every time. I really appreciate her knowledge on which styles work best for my face shape and also how I can best style or maintain my hair after the cut. We've played around quite a bit and it's gotten to the point where Lacey just knows what I like and I let her work her magic!

And as for the salon space itself - very spacious with high ceilings, super super clean and I love how well lit the space is. I feel very relaxed when I'm here for my ~3 hr long appointments !

Angelica is amazing!!! Super clean space and super nice staff. She gave me the exact color I wanted and needed and I will definitely be going back! Also very easy to schedule and pay online!

I have been there for a while and Lacey L. was my stylist. She did great each time, and was very meticulous (I only did short haircut)
The only downside is that the hours they have available never work with my schedule and I cannot take off from work for 1h30min each time. I would go again if the windows were a bit later. The salon is very pure and simple. Love the massage and the fact they offer the free bang trim after your haircut. Price is aligned with the city.

Just poppin' by to give another stellar review, particularly (in my case) for Angelica (color) & Lacey (cut). I hate my hair. Or DID. It's just blah, and doesn't grow well, but thanks to the forces at The Lane today, now I actually like (maybe even ) my hair. It's been awhile since I felt that way!

I will never go to anyone else for my color or cut now that I've found Angelica & Lindsey.

I initially found The Lane when looking for hair colorists in the Bay Area who had experience with brunettes, and stumbled across Angelica. I wanted a switch-up from being dirty blonde/red for three years and she made me the perfect dark shade that makes my eyes pop. It's been about a year now that I've been seeing her religiously every few weeks. Such a glow-up from before and after!

I also discovered Lindsey when I started going to The Lane and I'll never go to anyone else for my hair cut as long as I live here! She knows exactly how to translate what you're looking for into the perfect cut - I don't trust a lot of people cutting my hair but I know I can always trust her.

Not only are Angelica and Lindsey extremely talented, they are both so fun to talk to and SO sweet. My abs always hurt from laughing by the end of my appointments. Can't recommend them enough.

I came to the Lane after a botched coloring experience at another salon. 2 actually. Since I'd had Angelica do my coloring when she worked at code (and admittedly, it's the photo I show people when I tell them how I want my color to be done), I reached out to her for help. When I spoke to Angelica after the whole ordeal happened, she was so compassionate and coached me on what to do and how we'd fix it when I came in to see her. And she did - I love how it turned out! Angelica also introduced me to Lacey who was a delight and did a lovely job cutting.

Some specific things I liked about the experience are: 1) the hair color they use at this salon doesn't burn or sting or even smell harsh like chemicals. My skin (and nose) tend to be quite sensitive so this was a pleasant and welcome surprise. 2) The facility is very open and airy. For covid-conscious patrons, it might be nice to know that without being prompted Lacey offered to and willingly donned a mask (as I was wearing one) to make me feel more comfortable. Her kindness and consideration was very much appreciated.

I highly recommend giving Angelica and Lacey a try next time you need a color or cut. ‍

Lindsey was amazing! She listened to what my daughter wanted, asked questions and checked in to confirm and make sure she was on the same page before beginning. Even better than her communication was her skill/execution, the end result was exactly what my daughter had hoped for. Given how talented she is I would have returned to Lindsey even if she was standoffish and cold, but the cherry on top is that she is such a down to earth, engaging, authentic and fun person to be around. Couldn't have asked for a better experience!

Went in for a pink balayage back in November. Angelica was really nice and I appreciate her taking her time to make sure the color and style I wanted for my hair was what I actually wanted. She was also very considerate of how sensitive my scalp is and always reassured me it's okay to let her know if my scalp is being too sensitive, which I didnt experience at all. Since it was just us two at the salon, the experience became more personable. I would definitely go see her again. Today, I went back for a tone & blow dry and this time in copper! While she was washing my hair she also gave a head & neck massage, which definitely relaxed me. I will defs come back again and again!

This review is for Ali & is for cut & style...I haven't had an amazing haircut in 6 years. After my favorite gal moved to Colorado I've wandered all over to find a solid, excellent haircut. I have long wavy/curlish, thick & more coarse then silky hair. I love long layers. I love beach waves, and wispy strands & swishy movement on my head. And that is what I got! My hair looked amazing blown out & I didn't rush home to wash out the product & restyle it...as I have so many other times. And the compliments I received...even 4 days after the blowout ~ my hair looked fabulous! Please never leave SF except for vacation, Ali!

Angelica is a true artist ! Ive loved working with her and changing up the tones of blonde / balayage to my hair. She always captures my vision and more.

Lacey is a fantastic stylist. I always leave loving the fresh cut of front layers. My hair has never been more healthy!
Cant wait to go back
