This location is my annual Christmas Tree haunt - because they always have the size I want. But the prices are going through the roof! It's a tree that will be tossed after a week or two. Why charge $60 for a 6-7ft tree???

The customer service used to be much better. Had to wait half an hour for someone to trim the tree. An associate was paged twice. Then I had to go find the manager who paged a third time. The line for the regular customer service was looonnnngggg and seemed like there was only actual register open at 5pm on a weekday afternoon before Christmas. Not sure what they are thinking.

At any rate, hopefully someone in upper management reads this review and puts an end to the ridiculously escalating cost of a Christmas tree. Three years ago I paid $40 for the same tree for years prior. Covid has it's ramifications, but last I checked, trees did not get C19.

I still bought the tree as I am not the one to search twenty stores for one tree.

I see why this location is rated so poor. The staff at this location is simply disgraceful. I am not sure if they know why they are working or getting paid by Home Depot.

I give this depot negative 5 stars for waisting my time & effort !!!

Placed an on line order Thursday 10/7/21 for pick up Friday 10/8/21 any time after 4pm; received a text stating that part of my order is ready for pick up ?? Like what ?? Stucco job early Saturday morning / men waiting !! Texted back to their on line people asking why is only part of my order ready for pick up ?? They replied back sorry I don't understand your question ?? Like what ??

We don't stock that cal .22 for my Ram Set gun !!
Ok, so I figured I wait until early Saturday morning to go there ... arrived early to be directed to wait for customer service for pick up's ?? Really well this defeats the on line order purpose ... the line was 10 people deep.. ok so I waited ...

Got to a register and an employee who took my order number; I then asked if she could tell my why just part of my order is ready for pick up ?

Ready .... Wait for it !!! The most important items I need to put up the wire mesh, the .22 cal shots for my ramset gun tool they don't stock them they will be shipped to me by Sunday but ya know if you live in the 11208 area that means Monday or Tuesday ... like really !! It never stated that on line when I placed the order..

Ok, so now I'm directed to go bring my vehicle up front by the pickup location & they will bring out my 10 backs of cement & 25 bags of sand ... I asked please make sure it's on a wooden pallet please ...

So now I'm waiting another 25 minutes so I walk over to her & ask what's the hold up ?? O, they are pulling your order now !!! Again I was like what ?? Why wasn't my order already packed & ready to load ?? O noooo, we don't do that here .. wtf !!! I might as well have just shopped & pulled my own order ...

Just a $600.00 Lil order I know it's not a big deal but I will take my business else where when it comes to Masonary items ... lesson learned !!!!

      Thanks,
      Greg D.

Decided to drop by and pick up a few items while shopping at Gateway Shopping Center. The store was very disorganized with empty shelves and stock blocking the isles. After picking up what I needed, I noticed there was a long line with only three cashiers. Even the Pro line was long. Where are the self-checkouts? I just left my stuff and went to the Cropsey Ave branch instead.

Buying more half dead, overpriced plants... don't judge me, i can't have cats haha
Store is usually moderately clean and the staff is mostly quite friendly but I'm sure you get what you give because any customer service job is no joke right now. People are crazy!

      Post quarantine! August 8. 2020:

This location is much bigger than the Mill Basin location but the downside to that is the fact that there are more people. They enforce wearing masks if they see you don't have one by the entrance, but many people pull theirs down or expose their nose and I don't see employees reprimanding anyone they come across so there's that. Do with that information what you will. I don't understand why it's so hard to keep a mask on for your 30 minute stroll through Home Depot but whatever.

Stopped by this location multiple times in the last few weeks since I've got a house renovation going on, each time I've left and gone to Mill Basin instead where their checkout lines are short and self checkout is faster and has a separate line altogether. My trips to Mill basin's location is fast compared to my trip today at Starrett City's location where it took me over half an hour to be in and out of there.

Looking at the line makes you want to drop everything and leave, which I've done many times before, but today I had to just suck it up and stand in the line because the other location didn't have the bathroom accessories I wanted. In fairness, the line moved along quicker than I had anticipated but it was still a pain because it rounded a corner to the opposite end of their store by the garden house area.

Their employees are nice and friendly for the most part, but if I worked there, I'd be stressed out just from the sheer volume of people in the store. I had to ask a few employees quick questions and they were always helpful. The lady today that was organizing the one majorly long check out line, was loud, efficient and authoritative. She got it done and I appreciated that.

If you plan on stopping by here, PLEASE, please make sure you've got the TIME to wait in line. Otherwise, save yourself the headache, and try Mill Basin's inventory before coming by here.

Also, customers at this location are super inconsiderate and don't wear their masks properly, nor do they practice social distancing. The super long line is terrible because people will be right up behind you in your space and there's nobody enforcing social distancing on the line so that sucks. Whoever is managing this location needs to step it up and enforce the safety measures as much as they can. Y'all can't leave it up to your customers, because sadly not everyone cares about public health. Just keep that in mind if you're a person at risk, elderly people should avoid this location at all costs especially during the weekends.

Horrible customer service. Extremely long lines to check out. Big store with only one register open.

Lane closed, one self checkout open.
      Lines, lines, and more lines!!

I've been here a few times and service is good but definitely self serve meaning they're not saying hi to you but if you catch them they will assist. The extend of that assist depends on you catch most times you get the point followed with it's in aisle whatever. There was this one time an associate actual helped me and walked with me and explained the difference between the items I was looking for, but that was a unicorn experience unlikely to happen again

When I come here I know what to expect but they've always had why I needed and they always had cashier's. The parking lot sucks however there's shopping cars everywhere and I've had my car vandalized via minor scratches deep into the paint of my hood near the window of all places. I do park far by myself too, but the store is good the parking lot is risky. A lot of contractor vans with long heavy duty items packing their vehicles be wary of accidental dents to your car!

      Store front
I returned and found this in my car in the parking lot

8:45am long line of customers... 35+ long.

This is not a good start for the day...

2 customer service, 1 cashier and 3-4 self check out lanes manned by cashiers. (SELF CHECKOUT w CASHIER?)

THERE IS ALWAYS A LINE HERE, NO MATTER THE TIME OF DAY!

      NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!!

Assistants In the store just randomly spout an aisle number when you ask where things are. We walked back and forth across the store for a ridiculous amount of time before a fellow customer helped us find the five things we were looking for. Go anywhere else!
