I had a scheduled appointment with Amanda yesterday. I made it weeks in advance. I arrived five minutes early out of respect for my stylist. Since I was in a time crunch I made the appointment for a dry cut. I figured I'd be in and out within a half hour. But no.
The receptionist checked me in and went to let Amanda know I was there for my appointment. I sat there for the next half hour with no explanation of why Amanda was running so late. After 30 minutes I'd had it so I rose to leave. I told the receptionist who was half sitting/laying in a chair reading a magazine that obviously Amanda overbooked and I was leaving.
Maybe people will sit in a doctor's waiting room a half hour but when we do so we're annoyed that our time is not valued. Waiting on a hair stylist for this long with NO EXPLANATION to the client is completely unacceptable.
I will not be returning to this business. If I'd been informed she was running late I would have understood and waited. This did not happen.
Hair Gallery, you would do well to communicate with your clients who are waiting for SCHEDULED services In the future. Just a word of explanation goes a long way. You definitely lost a customer today because you did not bother to do this. You wasted my time and left me in a bind to find another stylist before my scheduled trip in five days. People don't forget treatment like this. It's NOT okay!

To add to Chelsea's review, the pictures she sent me looked like a 12 year old had done her makeup. Their skills were clearly lacking based on the inspiration photo shown and low quality products used for the wedding trial.

Not only are they unskilled but the Owner, Courtney, refuses to call back and do the right thing. I would highly recommend not doing business with them and look elsewhere.

I recently moved to Atlantic Beach and took a chance on The Hair Gallery after a recommendation from a friend of a friend. And boy, I am SO glad I took her word for it. I had Nicole and she was AMAZING. One of the best highlights and overall salon experience I've ever had.

I booked them for my wedding hair and makeup. I showed them inspo photos for the very simple look I was going for. Both girls were beyond nice but unfortunately the results were less than desirable and looked nothing like the photos. The makeup used was NYX and it appeared she only had 1 palette. My half up half down hair had hardly any curls and was matted to my head. I paid and tipped for the trial but the owner refused to give me my deposit back. Extremely disappointing considering the results. I would not recommend doing business here.

I asked to have the brassy toned down
What I got was a gray green color
I repeated this over and over that I didn't want it to be dark she promised that it wouldn't be liar!
She cut my bangs and I now have 1 inch fly away strands
Rachel said I was in capable hands again liar!
I went to speak to the manager she came to the counter making it more uncomfortable she said it was a miscommunication more like she didn't listen to the client
Got my money back and I won't.be back

I was so pleased with the service I got from Julia .
She took time to understand my needs and what I wanted. She was upbeat and a joy to be with .
My haircut and color are great. Very soft and natural, I felt it was worth the money for the service I got .
I was fit in with in an hour as a walk in . They were happy to work with me. If I'm this way again I'll be back .

Would not recommend.

Guess you don't need $$$$!
Anyway, it was no way to treat a possible client and make me feel uncomfortable.

This place is TERRIBLE! The inside sure does look nice but apparently they hire people who can NOT blend hair, cut it evenly, fade a 1 into a 2, or even style hair for that matter. I walked in with my hair styled the way I like it and told the girl I just need a trim. After the cut she washed my hair and while it was still wet put some greasy looking stuff in it and then half way blow dried it. Then she looked at me and said it's great... Maybe to a two year old. It was so bad I had to go to another person the next day to fix the damage. The first three words my new hairstylist said was " OH MY GOD", then proceeded to even out and blend my hair for 10 minutes. I'm a guy so I can't speak for the ladies haircuts but I will never waste my money at this inexperienced, superficial salon again.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place has terrible customer service. I scheduled and appointment on a Saturday and there was no one there. I tried to speak to the manager but apparently she was available...for a week. Will not be going back. I would recommend finding a different salon.

This is a very nice, clean, and professional studio with 10 stylists. It is very spacious and everyone I have encountered has been so nice! Hailey has been remarkable!! She is a color expert and is truly gifted in this field. On NYE she came in early and opened the shop to squeeze me in for a full highlight and cut (and I had only been there once before!). She took her time and did such an incredible job. I was so thankful that she would come in early on NYE completely last minute.. For me! What a doll! This is a fantastic studio. I won't be going anywhere else!!
