Thought we just stop by and have a drink. Very much a laid-back feel and a neighborhood pub vibe. Great happy hour prices from 3:30 PM to 5 PM. Three dollar old fashions. Didn't have anything off the menu but friends have told me the food is excellent. Service was great.

Another update!
Okay I don't usually do another update after the first but they changed the theme and name of the place so I felt it needed an update. Used to be French food and now is an Irish menu.
We fully intended on having a full sit down dinner here Friday but they told us they had no seating in the diner area. So instead we bellied up to the bar and ordered drinks with an appetizer. I got their Wisconsin Old Fashion which was good in flavor. We decided on mussels to share as our appetizer. I liked the cook on the mussels they were rather fresh and not rubbery and the toasting on the bread. I felt the sauce was a little thin and could have had a little more flavor to it.
Overall we were a little sad that we could not eat a complete meal here at a table. I would come back though the atmosphere is fun.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Jul 19, 2016Previous reviewDinner update:
Finally made it in during restaurant week for dinner. Look at my previous review for brunch information.
Service: Was excellent. The hostess was also the bartender and she was informative and attentive. We had a reservation and were promptly seated at 7PM. The waitress was quick to clear away dirty dishes and check in on us.
Food Quality:
Drinks- (Pear Cider) Go figure I go to a french restaurant and order a cider from Ireland. It was light and crisp. Almost tasted like a white wine. (Cabernet) My husband stated it was a good Cab and would order it again.
Appetizers- (Seasonal salad) was a tad dry could have used more dressing. The bacon chunks, arugula, asparagus and Parmesan crisp were really tasty though. Nice texture to the salad. (French Sushi) The rice had a strange texture to it. It was almost gummy like it was over cooked. The flavor of the rolls were nice and refreshing though.
Main Course-- (Risotto) This was not a traditional risotto. It was honestly a stew or soup. The sauce was thin and more broth like. The rice was not rich nor creamy. I did like the dish but it was not what was advertised. The sweet cherry tomatoes, asparagus and other veggies saved the dish. The roasted tomatoes were my favorite. (Braised beef short ribs) The gravy and the veggies were perfection. I only wish that the meat was not so tough. We were trying to figure out if it was reheated and that caused the meat to be hard to chew.
Dessert- (Napoleon) Chocolate mousse on the bottom and top with a puff pastry sandwiched between. It was topped with coco powder and a strawberry slice. The coco powder over powered my entire palette. I could not really taste the mousse due to this. I also wish the pastry was warmed slightly. (Poached Pear) It was a little lackluster except for the little nuts that were served with the pear. These little guys packed a ton of flavor and made this dish taste like something/anything.
Overall it was an okay food experience. I would like to come back and try them when they are less busy.Feb 15, 2016Previous reviewThe food quality was excellent. It has been a long while since I had a crepe done properly much less a savory one. I loved the gravy that was served with the crepe. It was filled with mushrooms and chicken. The bloody mary my husband ordered was huge and could have been considered breakfast on it's own. While we loved the food they only had one server for the entire restaurant and she was rushed. The food took an extremely long time to come out and it took even longer to pay our bill. I would like to come back and compare service for dinner with brunch some time.

The Beef Bourgeoisie is usually to die for. I eat it every visit. Only once did it land with issues. It would be my tip, to order it.
The house fries are an excellent appetizer. They offer a full bar with excellent bartending. The hotel looks good except I have only visited it when we put up friends here. We live nearby and like to visit for dinner and relax time on the balcony. It was only 82 degrees so we decided it was here or Riviera. Here it was.
Plenty to watch from a lock-side view. DePere offers a college town atmosphere with nightly fun. There is a greek bakery nearby that I would tell you to get to for desert, if they are open. If you stay here share a build your own sunday, they are pretty big. There is a discount movie theatre nearby. A lot is of interesting things to do.
The hotel has some odd practices. The bartender serving as hotel host. Not that I'd complain about a lobby that is a bar.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Jun 16, 2018Previous reviewThe Beef Bourgeoisie is usually to die for. I eat it every visit. My husband and I were on our last leg of our circle tour of the Great Lakes and stopped here for the night. We ate and drank at the Ennis Pub and we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and exceptional service! If ever in this area, we will definitely return!

Try it; I think you will like it!!
My wife and I are on our first visit to Ennis. We enjoyed two different sandwiches. There were few guests so service was very good. Not sure if anyone knows this place is open!? Signs to get there were non existent so good luck if you want to try.
We will return to try other menu items as what we did have today was very enjoyable!!!
Beer was cold and they still have a "happy hour" on a Saturday late afternoon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michelle G.Green Bay, WI353112Sep 12, 2020
Delish food, create service. Outdoor tables are small if you have more than 2 people in your group, so plan to eat inside if you do.

Can't comment on the Inn but the restaurant portion of it was really good.
Irish cuisine in a quaint dining area with a nice view of the Fox River from just about any table. Outdoor seating is limited.
Pot roast was slow cooked to perfection, nice lean portion.
Nice selection of Irish beers and liquor. Separate bar area near the dining room is convenient to stop before or after dinner.
Service could use an upgrade. Had an error on our order and waited twenty minutes after finishing our meal for our server to return. But that's been the norm in the food industry lately.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jaquelyn L.WI, WI04Sep 1, 2021
This was a cute little Irish Pub. We came here after our river cruise and they were really great. I normally hate croutons but theirs? Oh man! I could eat them all day. They were so good. They definitely didn't disappoint. They were quick and efficient and we weren't late for our 2nd cruise either. Thank you for being so wonderful.

I ordered the meatloaf. It tasted and felt like it was frozen and reheated. Flavor was fine but it would have been amazing if it was fresh. The potatoes were not fresh. Vegetables were not fully cooked. The boyfriend ordered fish and chips. It was wonderful and I would order that if I were to return.

Great food, excellent servers. Owner smokes a cigar and tells gynecological jokes. I thought he'd stab my kid with his stogie as he waved his arms making proctology references while he prevented orders from being taken and food being served. A four star joint, minus two for the wanker. It could be worse, you could work for this guy.
