What!!! In a world of vegetarians and animal loving Seattle hippies, I found this place!
all the fat meat-eaters are here too!
it's like a greasy oasis, pools of drippy egg yokes and strips of thick bacon sticking out of this green wasteland of Washington State...
what a site! i ordered my usual carb free breakfast. 4 bacon, 4 eggs, coffee, and a large bowl of "GET TO WORK VEGAN HIPPY!"
that sounded mean...
anyway, the bacon was real bacon (NOT IHOP dried snot strips)
and the eggs were shockingly GREAT! i got 2 scrambled, and 2 sunny side up ("mother nature's gravy" to quote Anthony Bourdain)
turns out the eggs are free range "special" eggs, raised by some smart local farm.... makes me sick! but, sadly, these hippy farmers and their hippy chickens did create wonderful eggs... well, I guess Seattle isn't so bad after all.
maybe I'll go check out the Trader Joe's next door. I'm sure I can find a reason to get mad soon. I just have to look harder.
anyway! eat here! 12 bucks for my food, and it's worth it.
UPDATE! the bathroom is great! i highly recommend it. nice tile, cool buttons on the wall behind the toilet, and lots of natural light... NEAT!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0Business owner information

Wow, Stan, what a detailed review you've left for us! Seriously, we're happy you found our menu to be so enjoyable and different than what you're used to around here. It's never a bad time for some delicious bacon and eggs. Thanks for being such a fan -- from the bathrooms to the food, we're thrilled you loved us! Come back any time.
Till then,

My sister really likes this breakfast joint, so when I flew into town for a less than 24 hour trip ... she insisted we have breaky.
This is my 2nd time here. Thankfully, it's comfortably busy, meaning popular enough to sustain business but not-so-busy you can't get a table.
Our server was friendly, fast and accurate. We started with Irish Coffee to start our bender. Then I rolled with Farmers Benedict. Not sure what my sister ordered.
The ambiance is subtly loud with conversation and positive energy. The decor is simple, yet clean (admittedly I'm here for a good time, not a long time. Let alone judge the decoration!)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tyler K.Seattle, WA440197196Apr 23, 2024
I came here while I killed time for an urgent care appointment. If eating pancakes while waiting for health care isn't a great metaphor for the American health care system, I don't know what is.
Good service, lots of options, none of it that flavorful.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ronald N.Seattle, WA041Mar 27, 2024
Went to this place with a co worker during lunch, we both had the fish and chips, man talk about unsatisfied, the fish clearly has been in the freezer for a long period of time, it was completely absolutely dry and they only gave us 2 little pieces, the fries weren't even a decent portion.. for $20

We found this place dropping our car at Les Schwab. We asked if they knew any breakfast place. They told us to walk a few blocks to a nice breakfast place. It was very comfortable there. The Elvis French toast was delicious. Sweet and crunchy . And we ordered a plate called Bell town. Has fruit and scrambled eggs. It was quite delicious.

You definitely get a good bang for your buck here! This restaurant is in a great location if you are hungry before or after doing some local shopping. It does get crowded in the weekends so you might have to wait a bit.
We popped in here on a Saturday afternoon and waited for a bit but they will take your number and call you when a table is ready so that's nice. The menu is quite large and everything sounds good! I had a tough time choosing but ultimately went with the smoked salmon scramble and a biscuit. It also comes with your choice of fruit or potatoes.
I was quite full afterward and enjoyed it although it wasn't the most flavorful. The eggs were cooked nice and soft so I liked that. The waitress was sweet and let me wrap up half of my biscuit since I couldn't finish it!
I would definitely come back here to try some of their other menu items, especially the Mexican themed brunch!Helpful 7Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - 3258129Jul 9, 2023
Got hungry while running errands and decided to check this place out! We went during peak (12pm on Saturday) and were seated right away at the high top table. Service was quick and the server was very friendly!
We were overwhelmed at how big the menu was! Reminds you of a diner. Loved the vibe and how good the food was!
We ordered one breakfast item and one lunch item to share. We got the Denver omelette & BLT with their soup of the day (tomato basil soup).
Denver: it was ok. The kitchen seemed really busy and the bell pepper, onions and ham didn't taste like they were sautéed for long enough and cheese wasn't fully melted.
Blt + tomato soup: tomato paired very well with the BLT. It was just creamy enough for me!
Excited to try other things on the menu next time, especially their Mexican themed brunch itemsHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Apr 2, 2023
Came here before getting the weekly grocery visit out of the way. Conveniently located on the bottom part of the Ballard Blocks complex, it is perfect for others doing the same thing, a meal before or after shopping in the area.
Right off the bat, you'll see that the menu here is pretty big. It reminds me of a diner. If you know me, you know I love diners so this was great. I looked over the menu seeing all sorts of good stuff and settled on the Latin section and went with the Spicy Migas - Chorizo, tortilla strips, green onions, and salsa mozzarella cheese. With a very generous dollop of sour cream. It was great. A nice bit of spice, and the plate it was served on kept it warm throughout. Definitely would get this again.
I also got a side stack of pancakes. A bit high at $8.75 for 2 and $1 more for 3. They were great, just high. Surprisingly fluffy and reminded me of IHOP which I like. Specifically, because now, I know I don't have to seek out an IHOP for these.
This visit was a Saturday and as expected it was quite busy. Despite that, it was only a 20-minute wait, which was more like 15 minutes. They allow you to leave a number so that you can receive a call or text when a table is ready. The waiting area is small and can only seat 2 maybe 3 people. So with it being cold outside went upstairs to Ross to kill some time.

This place is ok if you're feeling brunch but we preferred Pete's Egg Nest, their sister restaurant.
We ordered the chorizo benedict and a couple scramble/omelettes. Idk, just not anything special about this place.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Sep 9, 2023
Great service. Not too busy on a weekday at 11:25am but was getting busier as we left. Bring a jacket-it is chilly inside. I got the Country Burrito-it was tasty but I would have loved more tater tots and bacon inside. We then ordered a side of tots and they were perfect-hot, crunchy and delicious. I had a few bites of my husbands waffle and it was SO good!! Did not try his sausage but he said they were very good and they were much larger than he expected. There was free parking in a deck next to restaurant. As a bonus there is a Trader Joe's next door. We will definitely return.
