Super chill place and amazing fried chicken

Love sitting at the bar and have Christopher Walken staring right back at me as I enjoy my delicious drunken chicken bites.

Service was friendly! Food came out super quick. Came out on a Thursday night and wasn't busy.

I was disappointed in the chicken. The waffle was good, but the chicken was definitely burnt to a crisp and when I asked for a couple of new pieces they said no. I couldn't believe it! The cashier was apologetic about it, but they all just rolled their eyes like I was picky or something. It was disappointing. I wasn't even going to review them, bc everyone has a bad night but I overheard the table next to me saying they were the worst chicken nuggets they ever had. It's a small place so don't bring a large crowd.

Tasty fried chicken, but some entrees and sides were lack luster.

Came with a group of 6 on a Monday for lunch. Thankfully the place wasn't too busy so we got a table. No need to call ahead, as it's half-service.

I ordered the DC Chicken Sandwich with a side of Mac & Cheese. I wish I got the sandwich with tomato & lettuce instead of the coleslaw. The Original batter on the chicken was sweet and tasty.

Don't get the Mac & Cheese. The cheese was a bizarre consistency and was bland.

The waffle fries were tasty. My friend ordered the Chicken Cheesesteak. They said it was tasty, but it reminded us more of a tuna sandwich than cheesesteak.

Service was friendly! Overall, the food was decent but I don't think I'd go out of my way to dine here.

A dive on 4th worth every dime. We try something different each time and it's all good. My favorite is the BLACT Out wrap. Just look at the HALF that didn't get eaten yesterday and is now lunch; it's as big as the container and yummy! I recommend the onion rings and Buffalo Mac & cheese. Service is friendly. Fun joint. Fresh food. Enjoy.

Definitely a place to try at least once. Chances are you won't be able to eat it all. The sandwiches (tried Hot Motha Clucka and DC Chicken) have a good sized very moist chicken inside. It's nice when something becomes famous because a celebrity has been there they actually live up to the same standards. The chicken was not just juicy, but very flavorful and breaded to perfection; the type that doesn't get soggy. Every bite was as delicious as the previous one.
Tried the fried pickles as well. I'm not a huge fan of fried food, but these were good. Lots of dipping sauces to choose from (careful they charge for each one).
Unfortunately, I have to say service is where this place needs improvement. Felt pretty ignored the whole time there. Also had to get up and get our own water. And "here's your beer" at the counter when they weren't even busy (late lunch on a weekday). If this place wasn't so delicious it could have dropped down to a 3 star place.
      Trust me though, try it.

8 months after my door dash review I made it into The Drunken Chicken. I have to say, my review of the food is still relevant. It is tasty, fresh, and made from scratch. I must admit I failed to try something new since my last experience was so good, I stuck to the same item, but with food this tasty I know the whole menu has to be great!

The restaurant itself is pretty narrow and relatively busy so you have to be comfortable with being close to others or you won't have a good experience here, but other than that the service was great, and the prices are really good.

TL:DR - Try this restaurant. Good food, good service, reasonable prices, restaurant space is limited

I eat a lot of chicken, and sometimes indulge on the fried variety. The Drunken Chicken was worth the indulgence. I ordered the Nuggs and a side of curly fries because who doesn't love chicken nuggets. These aren't your children's chicken nuggets either. I ordered them spicy. The nuggets were very tasty. They were all white meat nuggets and were nicely breaded. The curly fries were a great accompaniment to the nuggets. Oh, they also have a pretty good craft beer list. Naturally, I washed down my grub with a local brew. I really enjoyed this casual spot. The service was quick, and the staff was friendly and had good recommendations.

I love Drunken Chicken! This place serves my FAVORITE chicken and waffles in town. They're open late, with a big menu and a huge beer selection (very inexpensive draft beers as well)! The vibe is very comfortable, warm and welcoming. Bathrooms are a little sus but what bathroom isn't on the avenue?

My personal favorite has got to be The Classic; 2 big spicy chicken strips and a beer battered waffle. The selection of maple syrup is also great! Occasionally they offer a seasonal one as well. I also love the mac n cheese, it's served a little deconstructed so you just have to mix the cheese and noodles yourself! But delicious none the less.

My boyfriend and I both work on the Avenue and frequent this place after our shifts. Overall, I definitely suggest checking this place out. Although, a few months ago I would always see the same friendly faces, always very kind and attentive. But lately, there is a young woman working with a short black bob and bangs. I'm not sure if she just happens to be having a bad day every time we visit, but her attitude is hard to ignore.

It started with a small miscommunication while ordering my food, where she rudely says "I don't know what you're asking for". I was kind of shocked because I'm pretty sure I was speaking clear English at the time!?

I brushed it off and then sat at the bar to eat my food. She drops the food off and then runs away to sit at the bar with a friend. Talking about how nobody tips.. which I mildly found hilarious given her bad attitude. No kidding you're not making tips!

Overall worth trying but beware of attitude

A hole in the wall bar with great service and delicious free range chicken items. I ordered half dozen lemon pepper wings with curly fries. The wings were cooked to perfection and the fries were so crispy and delicious that they didn't even need ketchup or anything!

Saw this place on fourth avenue and had to give it a try. The employees were very welcoming when we came in. We ordered the jalapeño poppers as an appetizer. They were delicious! (They did not skimp on the cream cheese. They were on the mild side - we could have used more heat). My wife and I shared The Beast (chicken wrapped in bacon and then dunked in the waffle batter before fried). The chicken was moist and the waffle coating was very good. The bacon was ok. We also shared the chicken and waffle bites. We enjoyed these. They were the perfect size for dunking. The only thing I would change would be the sauces - I prefer warm syrup for my food. Other than that everything was great!
