It is much cuter and more quaint than it appears from the street. It started as a bank building many decades ago. There is an old vault still in the wall at the front. Arrive around 10:00 on the weekends since it seems to get busy after that. Service was very good today. We ordered a Bloody Mary and coffee. Both good. We didn't try the bottomless options this time but coffee was refilled. Kiki took good care of us. We ordered the waffle sliders with substitutions of sweet potato fries, and French toast with an extra order of regular fries. All excellent! It isn't cheap here, but it isn't unreasonably expensive either. Around the norm for a Denver brunch place in terms of pricing. Food is great. Come have a brunch here on the weekend, or any other day of the week!!

I and a group of friends decided to visit 1908 this afternoon for a late brunch/lunch experience, and I must say, it was just okay.

Service started off slow, which we initially understood as our server had just handled a large party right before us. However, even when the restaurant became relatively empty, our service didn't improve. We had to request paper menus twice and ended up fetching them ourselves. It took nearly 30 minutes to get our drink orders, and unfortunately, I never received my second one.

One of our friends was 45 minutes late (who wasn't planning to eat with us) and we had just barely ordered before he arrived.

As for the food, it left much to be desired. It felt quite overpriced, especially when I paid $23 for an avocado Chile bowl that didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of taste. It was bland. The loaded tots I got were cold and soggy.

The decor and ambiance didn't leave a lasting impression, and parking in the area was a hassle.

All in all, I don't see myself returning to 1908 or recommending it to others.

Great service. I'm sure they are all good but Heidi is super! She had that personal approach that makes you think we are her only customers for the day! Super!

There for the Brunch. Bottomless drinks are fantastic. At $24 and a hour and a half and good service = $3 a drink! But then who's counting?

Food was good. Plates were all cleaned. Friend said the biscuits and gravy were excellent. I had the waffles. Good but not exceptional. Bloody Mary's were better.

No photos of the food. The number of drinks might have something to do with it!

We went close to opening day and tried their brunch. The menu is limited, but the food they dk have on there is sublime. I recommend the catfish bites for our apperizee. I would go back just for that if nothing else. I got the chicken and waffles as my main dish and the waitress we had recommended getting the Apple butter---get.the.apple butter.
Despite the manning shortage and the incredibly busy day, the service was great and despite the wait (which was expected due to the manning shortage) our food came out hot.
During our visit, the printer broke and orders weren't getting sent back to the kitchen, but our server mitigated the chaos well.

Blood Mary Boot. It came with a chicken tender, a mozarella stick & bacon.

FYI it used to be called The District so that was a tad bit confusing...onto the good stuff.. Parking is difficult as it's street parking, but there's a building on Lafayette for retail so fingers crossed no ticket.

Mimosas, bloodys, and screwdrivers OH MY! Its $24 and means you can drink for 1.5 hours and you can interchange them. That's honestly the coolest part as some other restaurants make you stick to one. We didn't do it as we are partying elsewhere.
The caveat is you have to order an entree or 2 apps for the table.

Our party ordered the hangover bowl, meat lovers bowl, and steak and eggs. Food was decent enough.

Drinks: spritzer, wine, and mile high revolver.

Overall, we'd come back for the bottomless (surprisingly which we didn't participate), but that would be it.

This will always be my "go to" spot! Service is always the best and the food never disappoints! The owner is also a highlight and seems to make his employees happy because the vibe shows.

I met up with my sister for brunch on a late morning in the middle of the week to catch up. Of all the brunch spots I looked at on Yelp, The District seemed to have all the things we fancied, so we were looking forward to our visit!

Like many places in Denver, parking can be a bit of a problem; in this case, both my sister and I managed to snag street parking relatively close to the restaurant, but I could totally see it being a big pain in the butt during busy weekend mornings. There is no designated parking lot for this place, so you've kinda just got to take what you can find as it is available. Since we came late morning in the middle of the week, things weren't super hectic in the area.

We were seated at a table on the patio and were helped quickly; I wish I remembered the name of the young woman that helped us out... she was super sweet and very attentive to the table. We started with chicken taquitos and a bottle for mimosas while we perused the menu to figure out what we wanted as a main course. Sister chose the veggie benedict and I thought the breakfast burrito looked good. It was a toss up between that and one of the breakfast bowls.

The chicken taquitos were pretty good, but not a knock out of the park by any means - same goes for the burrito. The food came out quickly and was hot, but pretty par for the course I suppose compared to others I've had. My sister has a thing with food textures and was turned off by something in her benedict, so she didn't make much headway there lol. It was good for what it was, but we both felt like maybe we should have made different selections. The mimosas were great, though! We got those with a side of pineapple juice, but bottled beverages aren't really something that the place should be judged on.

Overall the experience was good. The service was great, food was good enough, and atmosphere was laid back. That was all I needed to have a good time lol. I'd be interested in hitting this place up again on another occasion to gauge how things might change from visit to visit - reviews I read were all over the place!

Did your sister ask for something else other then the Benedict?! We are glad you enjoyed the chicken taquitos and buritto.

One of the worst meals I ever had. They sat us at a dirty table. The top was covered in food and there was a ton of food under it as well along with a pile of leaves and a fork. Not acceptable. The service was slow and uninterested in doing their job. We had to ask for cleaning, for silverware for the bill.

The food was equally terrible. The salmon benedict was doused in sauce, over easy eggs instead of poached, salmon was dry grilled salmon, not lox. The tater tots on the side were not helping anything. All their condiments are baking in the sun. It was just one of the worst meals, it's like they could care less to make good food. My husband got the chicken and waffles, the chicken was dry strips, the whole dish was dry.

This is not a place for food, maybe for bottomless mimosas but I doubt those are quality.

this is a great neighborhood restaurant and watering hole. we've eaten here many times for brunch, and a couple times for dinner. it used to be the district, but there are new owners and a new menu. many of the staff have remained.

their food is always very good. dishes are well-planned and well-executed. the prices are fair, service is spot on.

try the sangrias. for brunch, the bottomless drinks are the highlight. $24 for any breakfast cocktail. we're talking bottomless mimosas, bloody marys, screwdrivers, beermosas, micheladas... all the sh*t.

This place is the tits. Delicious food, an amazing 'make your own drink' bar, and fabulous staff.

They seemed to be a bit understaffed both times we visited, but the incredible people who were there busted their butts to do a great job! Super impressed.
