Really good lunch special deals!!
The menu is long with plenty of option to choose! From hinachi to ramens or sushi or hot entrees!
Prices are good, service friendly and fast. What else would you need?
I've tried ribs, sashimi, tempura, katsu pork and all of them good.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sandra M.Jersey City, NJ65579815Mar 1, 2023

The beaux was itching for hibachi and this place made it happen. The hibachi chef was great and the food was delicious. We were eating leftovers for a couple of days afterwards.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 30, 2021
Service (4/5): Nice people who check up on you. Hibachi chef was also nice although I've seen fancie tricks
Venue (5/5): Clean venue with good decorations. It seems like they didn't take down the Christmas decorations though
Food (3/5): Hibachi food was OK, but the sushi was relatively lower quality. Got the Volcano and Jersey City Roll. Neither tasted fresh and the Jersey City Roll didn't have the described crunch.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 44208300Sep 25, 2022
Such friendly staff. The woman at the front always comes out and plays with our dog! Always smells amazing and we've ever had a bad meal! We've had everything from sushi, sashimi, different tempura items, salads, soup, gyoza, to specialty rolls. Everything always arrives hot and delicious! I will say, in the winter when they get real busy, pick up can be delayed. Not by too much, but we've waited an additional 15-20 mins for our food. After they said it was ready. But as long as you go in knowing that, they're fantastic!

Delicious food and wonderful service! We came here 4 years ago to date on NYE and unfortunately hadn't made it back since. We'd been missing out! It's still just as good.. if not better.
They have a happy hour Monday-Saturday from ~4 to 7 PM. $6 Sangrias $3 beer and several other drinks in between. Excellent happy hour prices. I had a Sangria which was really good and a great size.
We ordered California Roll for appetizer and each ordered the combination Steak & Shrimp. De-lic-ious! The meal includes soup or salad, vegetables, noodles, white rice (we upgraded to fried rice), and your protein selection. Our hibachi chef Jesse was very entertaining and the food was well-seasoned. The portions were clearly plentiful as we had enough leftovers for a second meal. I was impressed by the size of the shrimp.
Also, our waiter Fernando was very attentive and friendly. It was overall a great experience and way to end the year! We definitely won't wait so long to return!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Dec 12, 2021
Overpriced and okay asian food in Jersey City. Very spacious and they take large reservations which is great. Street parking only (pretty normal for the area).
They offer hibachi/grill options as well as sushi. Food was OK and can definitely get better sushi elsewhere. The place is usually pretty packed but the ambience makes it great for dinner events or for larger groups. Overall the flavor/food is lacking for the price paid and I would prefer to eat elsewhere in the area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - X M.Lexington, MA22861029Apr 15, 2022
We stayed at a hotel nearby and wanted to explore dinner options in the area. We ran into this place by random and were really happy we did. We ordered 2 specialty rolls, dragon and JC, and seaweed salad for takeout. Each specialty roll has 8 pieces. The seaweed salad is top notch. The portion is generous and the price is reasonable. The servers were super nice to us.
Update: we came again for dine-in. We ordered teriyaki chicken, which was made perfect not too sweet note too salty. We also had angus short rib and lobster volcano roll, which were both fabulous! Strongly recommend.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 660136408Feb 8, 2020
Came here for a going away dinner for a friend. The place was spacious and was willing to accommodate over 20 people.
Parking is definitely a hassle because you can only street park or pay for a garage. The place has two floors and has a dark ambiance.
Food: from what everyone has told me, the food was not worth the amount that they sent. The food was either too dry or too plain or didn't taste that great. I heard the sushi was the best part for the people who ordered it.
Salmon teriyaki - I personally didn't mind my food that much but it was definitely too dry for my tasting. I would have wished to have salmon that was tender and soft and was not dry. I liked the teriyaki sauce and rice with it but the dryness really turned me off.
Miso soup was fine.
Overall, food quality could have been a lot better and the waiter took forever to check up on our large table to give water or even give me a take home box.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Dec 23, 2019
My first experience here left a bad taste in my mouth.
I reserved a spot for my family of four at 5pm on Dec 22, 2019 and although we were seated quickly, it took a waitress over 15 minutes before she arrived at our table to take our order (and she only came when my mother called for her)
The restaurant at the time wasn't packed at all, yet smaller parties were being tended to before my party and this could have been a detriment to my plans after dinner.
The food wasn't something that saved the experience either. I like to be the one who always has something positive to say about anything, but I couldn't find any positives with my meal.
I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen and the broth tasted like tap water, the pork was flavorless, the noodles tasted sour (maybe spoiled?). The only thing I truly enjoyed was the boiled eggs; other than that I tried to stomach my way through completing my ramen before I ultimately gave up and packed it to go just to be nice.
The setting was beautiful with its addition of holiday themed lighting, it also looked like a clean environment, and it does have low prices. However, I wouldn't think of coming here again.
EXTRA:
I witnessed a horrific scene take place as I was leaving the restaurant where a woman was complaining to the staff about a rude employee. This woman berated the staff-all of them who had nothing to do with the rude employee, and even shouted racist comments like, "Open your mouth when you talk. We speak like this in America!"
I regret not approaching the woman and scolding her behavior, because although I had a poor experience at this restaurant, everyone should be treated with respect and witnessing that disturbance from that other customer made me want to cry.
This does not mean I would return to eat there out of pity, but I wanted to give awareness so that you are reminded that there are foolish, racist people still out here being needlessly cruel to people in the service industry and we must do our part to not be a part of that cruelty.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Daniel L.NJ, NJ11424Dec 21, 2022
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Teppan Bar & Grill. The miso soup was okay, but I think the General Tso's chicken that I ordered could have had a different sauce. I found it to have a sort of artificial flavor that was lacking in spice. Other than that, this eating experience was positive.
