An intimate date night spot picked by bae. Right across the street from sweet chick. Music was mellow, funky, and vibey. I Shazam'd like two songs, one was no words, The Bahamas Soul Club. Staff was welcoming and attentive. It was also Valentine's Day weekend so idk if that has to do with the service. BUT Cesar salad was good I mean you should know what to expect. Garlic bread was tasty. I believe it was caramelized garlic with butter. Basically you'll see the cloves of garlic.
Next was the calamari and I hear the calamari is a good indicator of what to expect of your food. So those were our starters and I had the linguine as my main. I'm also a sucker for white wine garlic sauce so I could be biased. It was subtly but you could taste a whisper of garlic. Bae got the chicken parm that came with a small side of cacio e pepe. So main entrees portions were small but tbh it's the healthy amount of portion to have. You know feel content ready to hop on a Citi bike after, not that I did but in case you wanted too.
Drinks- I drink gin so idk if that states my age but it was like a mojito but gin based. Not as sweet but more refreshing because I believe it had cucumber as well. We got the Bacco 175 which is a favorite from what I understand.
*manager greeted the table- it highlighted the 'everyone is welcomed and thank you for coming feel'.
So I would order more food if you're expecting to EAAATT! But I wouldn't change anything.
Solid. I heard I have to try Don Angie next.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Linda D.East Bronx, NY1337294296Dec 4, 2023
We went here prior to a show near by. We were greeted by the owners with a warm friendly greet.
The restaurant has a cozy feeling.
We started w some drinks. Then we ordered the garlic bread, (which was delicious), the meatballs, and the Brushette, and the paccheri was really the best!! Can't wait go back!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Mar 6, 2024
Taverna di bacco was delicious and filled with many comfort foods that I enjoy. The overall ambiance is actually comfortable and cozy and the service is attentive and friendly. I can't wait to get back here and get some comfy bites. Really love this spot and recommend to any Italian lovers

Came here with a big group of friends as a start to a night out, and I'd say we had a positive experience. We ordered items from across the menu and got the recommended wine for the table. I think the general consensus was that we had a good time but things were potentially a little overpriced. As far as service goes, our waiter was very friendly and helpful but a few times hard to find and forgot to bring us our wine until we had already finished the meal which was unfortunately (but oh well, it happens). Overall not a bad experience

When we walked in to this restaurant, the bartender (who I presume was one of the owners) greeted us and made us feel welcome. Atmosphere was dimly lit with candles at each table providing a date night-like atmosphere. Shortly after we were escorted to the yard in the back. String lights and umbrellas made it feel super cozy.
When it came time to order, a gentleman (I presume the other owner) came over to our table. He once again welcomed us and made us feel like longtime friends.
I tried the Garlic Bread--which was phenomenal--some the best I ever had (goodbye Olive Garden)! For my main, I devoured a tasty Carbonara, garnished to perfection. I paired this with a Negroni.
Overall the drinks are a great value here but the main portions are a little small. The quality is great. I would return just maybe not on an empty stomach.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 1 - Dec 31, 2023
What a lovely family owned restaurant. We got to talk to Chef Mauricio and took his recommendations and what a fantastic meal. The Polpettine Napoli, homemade meatballs in spicy tomato sauce and Burrata Spaghetti Squash, hazelnut and spicy honey were delicious. All the homemade pastas were to die for. All the pastas were cooked perfectly as Al Dente! Highly recommend this amazing chef's signature dish Stinco d'Agnello. This tender braised lamb shank with aromatic herbs, red wine, parmesan risotto is so so good. The meat literally falls apart off the bone. Must try this famous dish called Pollo. It was a chef's award dish from "Chopped" in season 23. The organic chicken, roasted garlic in red wine reduction with Brie & Raclette mashed potatoes was the winner. Must try! All the delicious desserts are homemade. When we walked in we literally smelt the amazing aromas from the desserts that Chef Mauricio was making.

From the friendly staff to the amazing mouth-watering dishes, this restaurant was a 10/10 for us. I cannot recommend it enough. It's a rather small/intimate feeling since the space isn't the biggest, which my friend and I loved. You can actually hear yourself talk, and enjoy your meal with good conversation. The food was impeccable, though note the portions are moderate.
Perfect for a friend catch-up, date night, parents in town, intimate birthday dinner or celebration, and pretty much anything else with that friends and family feel.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ashley W.Louisville, KY199106119Jun 19, 2023
I loved the ambiance and the service was excellent!
My friend and I split the bruschette and to my surprise, I loved the gorgonzola, honey, and dried apricot combo! Normally I find gorgonzola to be a little overpowering, but the flavors were so well-balanced and complemented each other beautifully.
The pasta was delicious. Portion wasn't huge, but I thought it was appropriately-sized. Tiramisu was good, but hard to go wrong there.
Would definitely go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jackie M.Brooklyn, NY032Feb 14, 2024
WOW! First of all, these folks were so accommodating and squeezed us into (very) last minute Valentine's Day reservations. It was definitely packed, but in the typical LES way that felt energetic & fun. The owner was so attentive and suggested a perfect wine. The food was SO delicious and authentic-- I'm a celiac, and GF food of this caliber is wonderful to find!
10/10 recommend- vibey and romantic atmosphere, enthusiastic staff, and great italian food. Thank you for a beautiful night!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
