I used to really like this place and I don't want to give it a bad review. But I just ordered pick up and 20 mins after when I came to pick it up, they only physically started to make it after I was there. They didn't seem to understand my order either. Didn't separate the chips from my nacho after I specified it. Just put the toppings on small bins, I was barely able to get out, forgot my refried beans. After I got home, the chips were all soggy and I had to throw the whole thing out.

I don't think their food is bad, they just didn't give a shit when they made mine.

My bf and I stumbled upon this shop while walking around SF.

Service: Kind staff. No line. Quick service. They have a salsa bar which I enjoyed.

Food: We got the Zorro burrito and large horchata. They gave complimentary chips. The burrito was pretty good. I enjoyed the fries and meat inside the burrito. There was a lot more guacamole than expected. I really liked the salsa from the salsa bar. The horchata was super worth it for the price!

I'd come back to try their nachos the next time I'm in the area. We saw someone ordered it and it looked delicious!

This review is for the Super Burritos only and it's 5 stars, period.

This 5 star rating has nothing to do with ambiance, friendliness, nor other menu items.

This is the original North Beach taqueria. Fancy ones have come and gone in the area, and a Mission favorite moved in a few doors down in 2022.

But if you want the best Super Burrito in the east part of the city, you come here. I gave the North Beach El Farolito a few chances to impress me with their burritos, but they don't compare (their Mission location however, is very good)

I've been coming here since 2005, and the Super Burrito with any choice of meat and any choice of beans has never disappointed (I go with the refried beans exclusively these days).

Salsa bar has gone through its iterations over the years, had more choices in the past, but it's still very solid.

You don't come here for ambiance. There is a fair amount of seating in the back with a TV. I just eat at the counter in front of the store, across from the kitchen. That's great ambiance for a burrito joint in my book.

The chips are very very meh, which makes me very sad (delicious homemade chips are one of the greatest dining pleasures).

But...stick with the Super Burrito, and you won't be disappointed.

Have been coming here for 11 years. Great food, very fast. Very reasonable prices. Wednesday is a burrito day.

      1 check-in

This restaurant is in the Heart of North Beach. The food was really good and very fast service. They do have bottled beer to wash down all the nachos, tacos, quesadillas or whatever you order. I gave 3 stars because they are in the middle of a remodel so seating is limited. I'll definitely be back!

Huge quesadilla! Came with some tortilla chips & salsas that were bomb!

Great place under new ownership!! The new owners are super great people that obviously care about turning this place around. Got a modelo and super quesadilla and would 10/10 recommend to a friend. Was delicious and huge portion for the price.

Stumbled on this place by accident during my post work walk. I didn't mean to have tacos, it just happened.

My actual intention during my walk was to find some pastries to bring to my bestie since she was bringing me back dinner. I walked and walked then saw TACOS.

Lucky for me, I walked in on a Tuesday when tacos were on special for $2.99.
Since I didn't know the sizes of their tacos, I decided to start with 3 then possibly get more if 3 wasn't enough.
I got al pastor, asada and carnitas.

Out of the 3, the al pastor was probably my favorite even though it was missing something. Adding the green salsa they provided made it more enjoyable.
The other two were ok. It took me some time to finish them. On the plus side, they pack so much meat in each taco. I wanted to add pico de gallo but it made it so packed that it was pointless.

      SoCal tacos are far superior.

      so i walked in
they have indoor dining and take out

      salsa roja looks super authentic

check in and get a yelp perk for a regular drink or an agua fresca

      initially customer service was friendly
i place my order and paid , zero issues
      one grilled chicken taco
      one grilled prawn taco
      i paid $14

that is kinda pricey for 2 tacos lets keep it real

order was delivered to our table

i was confused but so was the server
she placed 2 chicken tacos on my plate and one prawn taco and one chicken taco on my friend plate

      total 4 tacos
the crazy part was my friend saying omg why does she keep looking out way??

i was like bruhhh idk just eat enjoy your food
but he couldn't even enjoy his prawn taco he said it was too spicy

my grilled chicken taco was dry !! period
the salsa roja low key made up for the dryness

but tell mee why this server knew she gave us the wrong order hence why my friend kept noticing her watching us!!

why not be transparent and say hey i made a
mistake and i gave you the wrong order!!

instead!! this lady came to me and told me i need o
to pay for 2 extra chicken tacos that she served us

noooo i'm not going to pay for your mistake
and further more we did not even touch them dry ass chicken tacos so here you go!!
here is your mistake back that we did not touch

      this lady said
i saw you touch the taco and you have to pay for the extra tacos

EXCUSE you!! i'm not paying for something i did not order

nor will i let you bully me into it !!
      i clearly placed my order
and i paid for my order
if you effed it up do not come for me

So much shrubbery on one taco alone we couldn't even effin confirm it was a taco !!

When I called her out for trying to bully me into paying for extra tacos that I did NOT ORDER she cought an attitude

Let's goooo cus I will MATCH YOUR ENERGY!!
I had my receipt of WHAT I ORDERED

YOU CANNOT BULLY ME INTO PAYING FOR SOMETHING I DID NOT order

We stopped here randomly, our mom was hungry, we weren't expecting much, but let me tell you this place is GOOD! The guacamole was fresh and my moms torta de asada was big and tasty. Definitely will come here again, so glad we got lucky just randomly walking in here.

Guacamole and torta de asada. Soo good it was gone quick!
