Real hand-made tortilla which is totally atypical to find at a Mexican food restaurant, salsas "the heart of the taco" are magnificent! But still not "mild" lovers, good "carne asada"...
Small place, get easily crowded but worth every minute you wait for the real Mexican food.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Angelica Z.Wilmington, DE0156Apr 30, 2023
Haven't been here in years. Remember my parents taking me here as a teenager. Anyhow my mother wanted some menudo, figured I would order from here. I purchased 3 menudos @$17 each which includes handmade tortillas (3) cilantro, cebolla & onions on the side. Plus homemade hot sauce. I also included a steak torta $11 & 4 chorizo tacos @ $4 each. My total was $78 they charge a fee when using a card so then my total was $80. I don't mind paying for high priced food at all. But what I do mind is the customer service. it was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.
mean ass donas. If you are having a bad day don't take it out on happy paying customers. That's how you loose business. As I was paying I asked if they could give me a side of additional cilantro and onions as I seen they only had bagged one. Mind you I ordered THREE MENUDOS. & when I had placed my order I had mentioned it to the person taking my order that one of the menudos was going to someone else (meaning two different locations. The ladies meaning two. One was bagging orders while the other one was taking the payments and both answered no loudly. I looked at them shocked and confused. That I should have mentioned it when placing the orders. Because I did. I didn't want to argue to be honest so I pleaded with the lady and told her I would next time. But the communication is horrible amongst staff and the way they talked to me was so rudely. Hasta quería llorar por la forma que me hablaron las donas. Y ay que decir la verdad la comida no está ni tan buena. Nomas porque las tortillas son echas a mano si no ni pa que porque la forma de tratar al cliente es horrible. Y que mal. Y feo.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jose W.Wilmington, DE1342Oct 2, 2022

If you go on weekends be prepared to wait. This place gets busy. It is a small restaurant, but you know if it gets that crowed the food must be good, and it is. I had Pastor taco, steak taco, and chorizo and huevo taco. They make the corn tortillas right there. My friend had lengua tacos and tripe tacos, he said they were good too. I also had a tamale, delicious.
It didn't make it to 5 stars because it is to small of a place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Carlos Q.Hockessin, DE2117130Dec 3, 2017
Good place for hangover ,not a usual place to eat . Great food (Mexican) people are very nice . Is not a fancy restaurant with all kind electronics things . It's a mom and pops place . Food is real you can get as Mexican culture . Try!!! But be OPEN MIND

Awesome Mexican food. Home made salsa and chips were great. Just the right amount of spice and the chips seemed fresh and not cheap. Chicken quesadillas had great flavor and spice. Just the right amount of cheese, not overly cheesy like some other Mexican joints. Only slight negative is the quesadilla and enchiladas were a little salty.
Place was empty for lunch on Saturday so I wonder if this is one of those hidden gems.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Berenice B.Kapaa, HI9186May 14, 2016
THE BEST place to get tacos in the Pennsylvania Delaware area. I'm born in Mexico raised in Kennett square PA and I drive to this spot to get my fix. If you are looking to avoid crowds go during the week because on the weekend it's packed and you may have to share a table with someone. But the food is so good and authentic that it's worth going regardless of the day. Even on a busy day the service is fast and it's all fresh and handmade. When you order they bring out a tray cilantro, assorted onions, salsas and limes all in molcajetes. Any order that comes with tortillas will be served with warm freshly handmade tortillas. It's to die for, I highly recommend.
