About the Business
Tahoe Keys Marina is the largest marina (and the only inland marina) on Lake Tahoe. We offer services for all your boating needs including a full service boat launch. We also have a Travel Lift and a Jib crane for sailboats. Our 22 acre property has diesel and regular fuel, a number of charter vendors, a water ski school, and on site restaurant. There's a trail off the property that leads out to a wildlife viewing area and nice secret beach on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Just another spot to soak in the 360° view of the breathtaking sunsets over the mountainous Lake Tahoe.

Nice folks, but was on the verge of paying an extra $40 because I couldn't find a piece of paper. Seriously, they don't keep track of their customers? Feels like an extra tax!

Fantastic !! All the way around!!
I took a work colleague and his girlfriend out in the lake with this boat company for their first time in Lake Tahoe .
It was Quick and easy to get a boat, and EVERYONE from the office to our Captain was Super!!
Unfortunately, I forgot our captains name, but he was a young man with blond hair ... super nice , friendly and explained the beautiful lake as he took us out . It was only an hour tour, but did not feel rushed at all.
I will be back and I highly recommend!! :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason R.Stockton, CA1849Jul 18, 2018
It was our first time going to Tahoe Keys to rent kayaks. Usually we go to ski run marina. It was a little out of way but TOTALLY worth it due to their EXCELLENT customer service. The guys on dock were great and extremely helpful, but Darcy in the office was AWESOME. She was polite, joked around lightheartedly and was very informative and helpful. The service and Darcy will be bringing us back next year for our business. Thanks guys.

Most expensive boat launch in the in the Basin. A jet ski cost 90 bucks! $40 elsewhere.
My son put his boat in and out at the Keys last year. This year when we went to put in , the seal wire that attaches the boat to the trailer to prove it hadn't been launched in the interim had been put on improperly. They hooked the wire to the trailer but NOT to the boat and we were not allowed to launch.
The manager would do nothing, not even discount the launch fee! Now driving to Meyer reinspection station. $110!!!!!
There are other launches that are professional and client oriented. Avoid these clowns if at all possible take your valued craft elsewhere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - brandon m.South Lake Tahoe, CA72427May 5, 2014
$40 to launch your boat!?!? And guess what, we are gonna stick u again for parking your trailer!! Complete ripoff. I needed to pull my boat out of the water today, I saw they were closed and asked nicely if I could just pull my boat out as there is a big storm coming and someone is on their way to buy my boat. Answer by Robert was " I can't legally." So I decided to do some homework and call Tahoe boat inspections. According to them the marina is perfectly capable of opening their ramp when they please. Turns out his excuse was a complete lie! I realize you are technically "not open" but the office is staffed and the key that could have saved my day was there. If you want savings or compassion take your business elsewhere!
One more thing to add, if there wasn't 4ft swells on the lake right now, I would have happily of driven to cave rock when I saw the ramp wasn't open. Robert, while you obviously had the power to tell me "no", you also had the power to say "no problem, I see you need it really bad, let me unlock the boat ramp for 45 seconds." Plain and simple.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jen L.San Francisco, CA0111Jul 12, 2019
Honestly the worst company we have ever dealt with!! I would never bring my boat back here. We stored the boat and trailer here for a long weekend. We wanted to get on the boat early every morning for the best water but the employees are constantly late, they show up anywhere between a half hour to and hour late. They also are completely under staffed. It takes way too long to get anything done. You are better off storing the boat on the street or another place. Read the other comments for the same horrible reviews.

Thank goodness our boat sits here for only 1/2 the yr. Poor boat surrounded by incompetent people. But, the once a month swim in the lake is worth it...right!?
Ok, maybe I'm the insane one - talking to our boat like it's a poor little abandoned child. The truth is that housing the boat right there in the marina is awesome. It's just the people there who sorta suck. Unreliable and totally unhelpful! Oh well, we've now mastered retrieving and dropping off our little boy - so we're all setHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Agnes C.Sun Valley, CA02521Jul 4, 2017
My family and I went out to Lake Tahoe for Fourth of July. We rode Boat 34, Espinoza Family and watched the fireworks on the lake. We had an amazing experience. The employees were very helpful and friendly and told us entertaining stories while we waited for everyone to aboard the boat. I recommend everyone to rent here!

Just awful. Tried to take my boat out today. Ramp was closed and locked-this was at 420pm. I called to see what time they closed and the guy said 430. I asked why is was locked now then and ask if we could pull our boat out. He said that they closed early and do not get paid over time so we had to come back another day. There were a few people unable to pull boats out of the water today because of their shitty staff. I have had multiple problems over the years and this was the last straw. We will never use this marina again.

We are from out I town and new boaters to Lake Tahoe. We will be returning again, and we would launch our boat here again. The employees were friendly, and the location convenient. That said, I was disappointed in the $41 launch fee and the $30 trailer parking for 3 days (the Tahoe Keys HOAs do not permit folks to park trailers in the driveways). The two launch ramps available were clean but fairly narrow. The outlet is also narrow but navigable, and very shallow (BEWARE bigger boats!), approx. 2.5' draft.
Warning for Out-of-Towners: All boats need a special Lake Tahoe inspection and permit before going to the boat ramp. The marina does not offer this inspection so you will need to get the permit prior to arriving. The permit is a rip-off at $55, and there is an extra "cleaning" fee of $35 if there is ONE drop of water aboard.
Be prepared for approx. $160 total to launch your boat.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
