Meh. Would not bother going again. Service was excellent , good vibe. Clean but table benches and seat backs are painted and a little sticky/tacky which makes it feel dirty.
Got the brisket which was pretty bland and a bit dry. Off the three slices/chunks I got an end piece that was very dry
Their sauces have vinegar which I don't like so a preference thing...FYI
Man n cheese was good though just warm. Banned potato sales very short cream base. Wait did tell me that but by her suggestion I tried it, Too much for me as I'm not a SC fan.
Peach sangria was good
All in all not worth a return tripHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jason H.Charleston, SC013Apr 24, 2024

We were very pleased with the options and the portion. The server was friendly and attentive, giving us a rundown on what they're known for and what meats give the most bang for your buck. We ended up getting the three meat meal and added the pork hush puppies, which were definitely something new for me.
In the end, the brisket and the pulled pork stole the show. Everything else was pretty good, but those were the best. There's several sauce options, the only one that I wasn't excited about was the white sauce.
Overall really good experience and some of the better pulled pork and brisket I've had.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Mia Marie A.Glendale, CA0927Apr 7, 2024
Service was great but a little disappointed by how dry the brisket and the chicken were.

Delicious BBQ spot in Charleston! We were able to get seated right away at a high top table and service was on point to ensure my meal was allergen free. The server even brought out the allergy menu for me to order from. Big portion sizes and everything we ate was delicious. We literally ate until it hurt. I will definitely be visiting again!

Charleston is not the foodie City that I thought it was or y'all touted it to be! The same day I had bland ass tacos from the food hall in the french quarter, I come here and am flabbergasted by the bland ass meat!
My girls and I came here because they had excellent reviews on Yelp and again were very disappointed with the meal.
We ordered the pork rind nachos while we waited for food to go. The pulled pork on the nachos was probably the most seasoned item that I ate and that might be attributed to the toppings.
For my entree I ordered a three meat platter with pork belly, brisket and ribs. The smoke rings on all the meat were SO beautiful, so I had really high hopes. The meat was moist tender and everything you could want in terms of texture, but every single piece of it was bland! Capital B L A N D bland! There couldn't have been a dry rub in the house because it didn't taste anything. I judge all of the meat that I eat at a barbecue restaurant by whether it NEEDS sauce or not. This place, I can tell, relies heavily on the multiple different kinds of sauce that they offer because the meat on its own taste like nothing even though it is cooked to damn near perfection. Another disappointment
P.S. If you're looking for down home southern, auntie style corn pudding (iykyk), this is NOT the place.Helpful 3Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 1 - 16145273Mar 2, 2024
This is my favorite bbq in Charleston. It's affordable and delicious. The brisket and potato salad are both great. Highly recommend. *WA location.

There are a lot of really great bbq places in Charleston so it can be hard to decide, however the family meal at Swig and Swine is such a great deal that we keep coming back for it! Staff is always friendly, there's parking, prices are reasonable, just an overall great spot to stop for a family bbq dinner. I recommend the pulled pork and mac and cheese!
