This place ever disappoints. Originally intended to go to another establishment but bc of some soul smell, decided to come here instead.
Since my last review, we decided to try something else "From the Kitchen" menu. Was going to get the Bi Bim Bop but decided to see what shin ramyun (ramen) was about.
Service was per usual friendly and fast and if you're looking something quick and fresh, this place is it! The chirashi is a health portion and between 2 people, it was a lot of food. We walked away happy and full :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Apr 27, 2023Previous reviewWe've been meaning to try this place for a while. It's located in a hallway, just like a restaurant at a metro in Japan would be. Sashimi was fresh and it came with a miso soup. Service was fast and we were lucky there were seats at the counter... but this place had a ton of takeout.

Love this hole in the wall, and the people there are so very nice, and accommodating. But even better is the quality of the sushi. I would often expect to pay more, especially in this area, for the quality that I received.

My go-to is the exquisite salmon special, complemented by a delightful miso soup. Despite its underground location amidst other stores, the sushi's exceptional quality shines. While priced comparably to a "fancy" burger lunch in the area, my to-go orders have consistently impressed. They offer seating for those dining in, though my experience is solely with takeout.

I love this spot! Definitely a hidden gem with some of the BEST sushi for unbelievable prices.
The gentlemen that work here are extremely nice, I receive the same great service every visit.
I have personally seen that lunch hours and evening rush hours are their business picks up and stop by when you can.Helpful 4Thanks 2Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 7, 2023
This is pretty much the place that I usually go to after work or during lunch breaks at work when I come in to the company. I've had a lot of their sushi, chirashi, and bibimbop, all at different intervals of time. Their fish is really fresh and prepared well, and with their chirashi, there's more fish compared to rice. Also, the miso soup comes free with every order. The bibimbop is really tasty, and the presentation is well. However, compared to high-end restaurants, the fish taste between different fishes isn't quite distinguishable, but this restaurant gives really great value for the price.
Overall, 7.1/10 for the food, rounded up for the service.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Grace M.Arlington, VA02931Jan 16, 2024
I come here for the spicy chirashi! It's like Hawaiian poke but instead of poke sauce, they use a spicy Korean sauce. Portion is huge! Spicy chirashi comes with free miso soup so that's a plus! Sushi chef is friendly and service is great.

I used to walk by this place every day when I was working in a place that was connected via the underground walk. At the time they were only open for lunch so closed long before I made it back through on the way home and work was far enough away that the timing never worked. I noticed recently that they seemed to be open later and decided I was finally going to give it a try. It was definitely worth it. The sushi was fresh, it came with a very tasty miso soup and all was all at really affordable prices. You can order ahead for pickup, order and wait which turns out to be pretty quick, grab from a pile of available instant takeout options, or take a spot at the counter. It's really a shop located in a hallway of the crystal city underground that doesn't consist of more than a few seats at the counter but it's definitely worth dropping in or grabbing something as you zoom by. I will be back!

Picked up Tuna Lover combo. Had a little difficulty finding the place but that's because I'm not familiar with the Crystal Shops set up. I called and he was very friendly in giving me directions.
Food was ready on time and came with free miso soup. The ONLY thing is that, it supposed to come with spicy tuna roll but the rolls were just regular tuna roll. Otherwise, the fish is fresh and sushi rice had a very good consistency. I will come back for sure.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Nov 10, 2021
Decided to check this place out with a friend since it was walking distance from our location. I didn't have too high of expectations but it was surprisingly pretty good. Staff were friendly and attended to us fairly quickly. I ordered a chirashi bowl to get a bite of everything, and they added on miso soup to my to-go order. Majority of the pieces tasted fresh and had nice texture, but the shrimp, tako, and tamagoyaki were not that fresh. This bowl is a fairly good size and I felt full afterwards. Will be coming again to try something different on their menu!

Sushi Garden is hidden away in the middle of an obscure mall. My friend and I had some difficulty finding it, but we were glad we found it.
The staff is exceedingly nice, and the service is fast! But what really earns them a 5 star review is the value. You get A TON of sushi (ok well, not exactly 1 ton, but quite a bit)! My friend and I were overwhelmed by how much raw fish was in our orders. Rarely do I go to a sushi restaurant and have left over fish.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0
