Service is always fantastic. Presentation of the sushi is always different and keeps you guessing. Will you get a flower? A boat? Who knows! Tons of rolls, lots of non sushi options too.
Near the top of the favorites list are the Christmas roll and American DreamHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Nov 18, 2021Previous reviewHands down the best Sushi around the Broad Ripple area.
The service is always so quick. When it's nice outside they have a large patio with extra seating as well.
The crab Rangoons here are super stuffed. They are folded up like little baby empanadas with cream cheese filling but still tasty.
All the signature rolls are worth it. Recommendations include the Christmas Roll, the American Dream, the Jalapeno Roll and Volcano Roll.
Great for take out or dine in! Lots of good deals on Sake and domestic beers if you dine in. - K A.Indianapolis, IN0197Jan 18, 2024
Great sushi & I'll be real....part of me didn't want to come & rate it 'cause it's not super busy right at the beginning of dinner & I don't want it to be. :)
It's a smallish place, and we love going in when it's quiet.
The food is wonderful & the whole family loves going there.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mary Grace R.Indianapolis, IN047Nov 29, 2023
We LOVE Sushi Bar as Butler University students. I've been coming here with my friends all four years and have made some great memories. The atmosphere and service is always top-notch and the food is delicious.
The outdoor patio is so fun and has a great atmosphere when the weather is nice. However, our favorite are the private rooms, which you can usually call ahead to reserve. It's fun to have a little room to yourselves! In addition, I've been to Sushi Bar for a few birthdays and if you let the staff know, they'll give you a complimentary dessert with candles.
I've ordered a variety of items during my many trips to Sushi Bar. My favorites include the crab rangoons, edamame, chicken fried rice, Dragon Roll, and Eel Roll. I also recommend their wine - they're generous with the pours!
We will continue to come to Sushi Bar until we graduate, and maybe even come back to visit when we're back in Indianapolis!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 26, 2024
We have always had great experiences coming here. The service is always very quick! It can get very busy so expect a small wait on Friday/Saturday Evenings. It's a smaller restaurant but the perfect vibe! They do have outdoor seating and it's perfect during the summer evenings. Food is always great of course. Gyoza is delicious along with their salad, miso soup, & edamame! I also recommend their boxes.

Sushi bar is right on the strip in Broad Ripple. Great location. Service is top notch!
Lots of different roll options. I think I've had between 5-7 of the rolls and all were good! Love supporting local so I rotate between here and Sakura for sushi!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Asher E.Indianapolis, IN011Apr 9, 2024
Sushi and udon were delicious and affordable as a Butler university student. While some of the combos can get a bit pricey, they have a lot of great rolls in the 10-15$ range. The service was a bit slow, but it was a Saturday night and the staff seemed spread a little thin. While busy, the staff were very polite, and the manager checked in with us before we left. I got the phoenix and dragon rolls, which were both good, and their soups were very nice. The Restaurant is very close to Butler, and it's a great spot to get a fresh bite after a busy week.

The service here was fantastic! We visited on a Saturday night and were seated immediately. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The location is ideal - right in the heart of Broad Ripple - but parking can be difficult to find. The food was affordable, even for a local college student such as myself, and they also have combos that come at a good price. Would absolutely go here again.

Has become a great place for sashimi specifically the white tuna and yellowtail. Can't remember the name of the sushi rolls but I wasn't the biggest fan. Service is great.

We recently tried Sushi Bar and will definitely go back. We ordered takeout and it took longer than they said, but while we waited they offered us a drink which was very nice.
Food:
The gyozas were good but a little cold. The rolls we got were amazing though. Our favs were the Jaguar, the Tiger, and the 2009 roll. All delicious!
Value: it's a little expensive but nothing outrageous. Expect what you pay for typical sushi. Around $13 per roll.
Will definitely be regulars!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
