Sugar + Lemon

In another time I used to not look forward to these waxing appointments. Being a highly sensitive individual my waxing appointments caused me much pain and distress and gnashing of teeth. Since I have discovered sugaring and Michelle's technique and care I actually look forward to my appointments. Michelle has created a divine sanctuary where you can go and have a cup of tea, glass of wine or shot of sherry before you enter her abode. The space is welcoming, warm and inviting. Here you can sit, catch your breath and know you are in a professional's care. Sometimes I don't want to leave. Facials and sugaring are the two services I have had. Michelle is a wealth of knowledge. She even helped me get over a migraine with some additional TLC administered during my last appointment.

I have the pleasure of getting to know Michelle as a person and business owner.

As a person, Michelle is warm and welcoming. She's committed to natural wellness and skin care and really wants to support others in feeling good and doing well in their lives. It's obvious that she cares about the people Sugar + Lemon serves and the Napa community in general.

Professionally, Michelle only uses and sells the best skin care products on the market. My wife purchased the Osmosis line and loves it. We have both received sugaring hair removal service and we'll be going back for more. It's gentler than wax and very effective. Her shop and service rooms are clean and esthetically pleasing. I can feel the heart and care in the space.

Michelle knows skin! She is an expert esthetician and doesn't just treat the condition, she evaluates with you all factors that can be causing skin conditions such as diet. Her sugaring service is top-notch - it's all-natural, no chemicals, you could eat the sugar its so safe, and its better for your skin than waxing! Michelle's team are very friendly and accommodating to your needs.

I saw Kelly Bullock for a spray tan in June. Kelly was friendly, efficient and skilled in delivering a quality spray tan. The salon was clean and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately the price recently increased by 30%! Not too happy about that, so I will try another location before rebooking at S+L.

I had my appointment with Michelle and it was AMAZING. I have gotten sugared by another "TOP RATED" Yelp business and to be frank, I don't know how they have 5 stars and this place only has 4 1/2.
Michelle was extremely friendly, sanitary, knowledgeable, professional, charismatic and not to mention the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating as well!

I can't express what a 180 this service was compared to the other I received.

That's only in its customer service too.

The sugar? She didn't leave one hair, she was extremely detailed. I can't emphasize how amazing her work was.

That was my first time at this business but will definitely not be my last!

I started going here in November for sugaring with Grace and, even though I feel awkward as hell, Grace always manages to make me feel more comfortable. I will certainly keep going! I have also had a spray tan with Kelly that turned out beautiful, and I have a facial booked with Michelle for later in the month. Overall I highly recommend Sugar + Lemon!

Really upset from what was going to be my first appointment. I was recommended this place by my sister as she got really beautiful work done by Michelle. So, Michelle was fully booked and my 2 sisters and I managed to schedule our appointments back to back with Caelynn a week in advance. We don't live in town, so we drove 25+ mins to our appointment and we arrived 10 mins early before our first 3:15PM appointment. We sat there and waited until the young lady at the front desk decides to tell us (at 3:25PM now) that Caelynn will not be able to come to our appointments since she is having car problems. Now, I don't know if there's much prep time you should do prior to the appointment, but if she was going to not be able to make it, she could have surely communicated about this way before the time of the appointment? Was she getting into her car to get to us at 3:15PM
even though your clients are waiting for you already? Completely unprofessional! The front desk then asks me if I can come back at 7PM. I don't have the time or gas to do that since I don't live there and I also let her know I have a trip that same night. She apologizes and lets me know she will let Caelynn know if there's something she can do for us once we're back. HAVE NOT heard anything in 3 weeks now. She missed out on 5 services with us. We leave and on our way back home with tons of traffic, we get a call from the front desk. 3:43PM "She's here now if you guys were still interested in coming in." Absolutely not! Are you kidding? Why call me if I said no. I don't live down the street and that is the only time I had for an appointment I already mentioned that to her. If I were to go back, I'd only go for Michelle. She's super booked but it'll be better waiting than an appointment with Caelynn!

Went for my first time and Grace was awesome! Loved sugar waxing and it left my skin so smooth definitely recommend sugar waxing. Can't ever go back to regular waxing for my Brazilian after this !

This business is the absolute best. I have super sensitive skin (even to waxing) and sugaring with Michelle as well as her knowledgeable guidance about my skin and products have solved ALL of my prior issues.

I am actually horrified by the insensitivity of the very few negative reviews. I can't imagine being a small business owner right now AND in the middle of a pandemic. We ALL signed an acknowledgement about the 24 hour cancellation policy. I'm not sure why anyone would be shocked when they actually get charged. This business goes above and beyond the needed pandemic precautions and using it as an excuse to miss your appointment at the last minute isn't reasonable. Nor does it justify a bad review. A last minute cancellation is like taking money directly out of the esthetician's pocket that cannot be replaced. Their time is literally money.

As for scheduling issues....I've never had a single hiccup and I've been going here for years now. They call, they text and they have a system that even sends you something so you can add your appointment right to your calendar. If you got rescheduled I'm SURE you got notified at some point since the system does it AUTOMATICALLY. It emails and texts you a reminder too PRIOR to your 24 hour window for cancellation. What more could you ask for?!? Not to mention, staff at Sugar+Lemon are trying to keep us safe too. If your appointment was changed, maybe they had a valid reason...like YOUR health.

I can't recommend this place enough. The staff are always super friendly And the service they provide has been a lifesaver for me. Quick tip...it's almost summer so book WELL in advance with multiple appointments as these ladies get really busy. But they will bend over backwards to try and get you in somewhere if possible. Just make SURE you cancel timely if needed. It's the responsible and respectful thing to do.

This place is awesome! My chick started going here and I love the results.

She says it's very painless that the place is clean and well managed. I don't know peronally. I never go. I'm at home watching the kids but I can vouch for their work.

Things are very, very smooth at home if you get my jist.
